Oi! Tales of Bardic Fury is a psychedelic fantasy webcomic by Daniel de Sosa (also known as omeowcomics) set in an intentionally anachronistic version of ancient Ireland. You can read it for free on Webtoons.com or Tapas.

The year is 360 AD. After 12 years of training at the Academy of Tara, Bryan the aspiring bard is finally given his first assignment: he is to play music for the inhabitants of the sleepy little fishing village of Oi, where nobody has heard music in decades. He looks forward to an easy life of Sex, Mead and Bardic Music where nothing could possibly upset his life of leisure— only for that fantasy to be violently shaken from him the moment he steps foot in the village.

Oi! Tales of Bardic Fury contains examples of:

  • Arranged Marriage: Between Aideen and Bryan. None are too happy about it.
  • The Bard: The protagonist Bryan is a bard— although his personality and mannerisms are more like a modern rock star than anything.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Rhiannon counts as this in her selkie form.
  • Druid: Star Seal, Rhiannon and Aideen's father, is a druid and the leader of Oi.
  • Fiery Redhead: Aideen has red hair and the temperament to match.
  • Oh, My Gods!: The residents of Oi are quite fond of swearing by Lugh. Other deities, like Crom Cruach are also mentioned.
  • Magic Mushroom: Star Seal is quite fond of using them, as is Servius to a lesser degree.
  • Oireland: The series takes place in a fictionalised version of Ireland in the Iron Age.
  • Prophecies Rhyme All the Time: Averted and Discussed. Servius hears a prophecy from an apparition of his sister Artemesia which doesn't rhyme, which he is immediately skeptical of.
Servius: Are you sure this is a real prophecy? It doesn't even rhyme.
Artemesia: It doesn't have to rhyme to be true!
  • Selkies and Wereseals: Oi was founded by a woman who was seduced by a male selkie, and her three selkie children. In the present, Star Seal's daughter Rhiannon is one.
  • Spiritual Successor: To Asterix. Like Asterix, OI! is also an anachronistic comedy set in a Celtic society at the time of the Roman Empire.
