Fix is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic webcomic made by DeusExEquus.

Almost half a year after the beginning of their retirement Celestia and Luna receive mail from Princess Twilight Sparkle. She informs them that she sees herself not worthy of the throne and restore the sisters' status of ruling monarchs of Equestria. Fearing for Twilight's wellbeing, they rush into Canterlot.

What they find in Twilight's secret laboratory shocks them to the core. She has been having nightmares about the Legion of Doom. They accuse her of being no better then they are as she never tried to help them like the other villains. Eventually, the dreams became too much and she attempted to release them, but it went wrong and she got turned to stone. And now the rest of the Mane 6 follow Twilight in her quest to fix the failure which started her reign.

But can they really fix such broken individuals? Or will their statue become the symbol of their greatest failure of Friendship forever?

The story consists of a prologue, eight chapters, and an epilogue which can be found here:

As of July 25, 2022, the comic is complete.

Fix contains examples of:

  • Abusive Parents:
    • Cozy Glow's parents, especially her father. In his first appearance, we see that Cozy Glow is terrified of his ire after he slammed her into a wall.
    • King Vorak, Tirek's father, is revealed to be this, as he did not like that his son was a better magic user than a warrior.
  • And I Must Scream: Tirek explains to Rainbow and Applejack, that this is what Tartarus is like, as it's eternity being locked in a cage with nowhere to move and seeing the same thing every day.
  • Asshole Victim: The monster hunters who start the massacre of the changelings after they were welcomed into their home.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: After Steeltrap tried to incinerate Queen Chrysalis, she transforms into a giant dragon.
  • Battle Discretion Shot: There are several black panels during Chrysalis' revenge on the monster hunters. It's either blanks in her memory, too graphic for the comic, or both.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Twilight's reaction when she sees a younger and more kind Queen Chrysalis.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Steeltrap. He’s very polite, suggests a way to solve the hunger problem of the changelings, and isn't against a friendly conversation at their hive. And with his cute smile, after making sure that you are peaceful folks who just need love to eat, he set ablaze your leader and orders the massacre of all of you inside your home just because you might become a danger.
  • Blackground: In the parts of the dream realm that isn't tied to a specific character's memories, the background is entirely black. Most notably during most of chapter six, when the Mane Six are talking to Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy.
  • The Cameo: Spike makes an appearance in the prologue when Celestia and Luna question him about Twilight's whereabouts. Both Thorax and his brother Pharynx appear on the last page.
  • Catapult Nightmare: Happens to Twilight Sparkle in Chapter 1. With thunder to boost!
  • The Chessmaster: We see the origin of how Cozy got her cutie mark. She had to manipulate some other students for them to be her friends by hiding a Daring Do book that one of them left out and giving it back to said student when they get into a fight with another thinking that they stole it.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: The Legion of Dooms past's are filled with parental neglect and abuse, being treated as monsters or pariahs for being different, and never knowing what love or friendship is.
  • Despair Event Horizon:
    • Tirek: After King Vorak's order to reject his application and deny him the chance to prove himself he lost hope to prove his worth to his father.
    • Cozy Glow: After she obtained her Cutie Mark she meet a cold reception and indifference from her parents on the most important day of her life.
    • Queen Chrysalis: The realization that despite her best efforts she couldn't save all of her changelings.
    • Twilight Sparkle: After spending a week in the shared dream with the Legion of Doom without even a clue how to communicate with them, she is on the verge of this. Fortunately, her friends snap her out of this.
  • Domestic Abuse: Cozy's parents are implied to be this towards each other.
  • Doomed Hometown: Chrysalis' start of villainy happened when her old hive was burnt down with an uncounted amount of Changelings still inside.
  • Enfant Terrible: This is the initial opinion Rarity has of Cozy before they see her home life. Cozy is shown throwing paper balls at her teacher, stealing lunches, and getting into a fight.
    • She also thinks of ripping apart a Daring Do book after an attempt to socialize with the owner fails.
  • Fate Worse than Death: This is Celestia's and Luna's plan to get rid of the Legion of Doom for good. They plan to send them to an alternate dimension consisting of a barren wasteland where there is, in their own words "no magic, no love, and no way out."
  • Fix Fic: Well, it is in the name. The webcomic fixes the events after the finale by having the Main Six try to redeem Tirek, Chrysallis, and Cozy Glow.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Applejack admits that she understands why Tirek became who he is now but points out that this is no excuse for what he has done. Likewise, while Rarity feels sorry for what happened to Cozy in the past, it does not excuse her actions in the present.
  • Incredibly Lame Pun: Looks like changelings have a knack for it.
Queen Chrysalis: What do you call a group of travelers, that no one will miss, who enter a changeling hive willingly? A three-course meal.
Pinkie Pie: I mean, I get it, but it's not really funny ha-ha.
  • It's All Junk: No matter how much Tirek trains, studies or wins awards, he claims them all to be worthless if his father never see's him as strong enough, so he throws most of his awards out the window.
  • I've Come Too Far: Both Tirek and Cozy have the tragic villain version of this attitude.
    • Tirek seems to be moved by Rainbow Dash's and Applejack's motivational speeches but thinks that there's no place in the world for him, after everything he's done. He feels he needs to keep moving forward. But when they suggest that when people see how much he's changed, he'll be accepted, Tirek finally snaps out of it, and gently fist bumps them.
    • Cozy has been traumatized so badly, that she thinks that Fluttershy and Rarity are trying to trick her because she now thinks friendship is one giant lie.
  • Like a Son to Me: Chrysalis admits that she admired Cozy's cleverness and that she would almost accept her as part of her hive.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Fluttershy and Rarity have this reaction to Cozy's origin, as they feel that they should have helped her when they had the chance, but their rage took control.
  • My Greatest Failure: To Twilight Sparkle, it's the fate of Legion of Doom as she made no effort to try and reform them.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: This is generally Chrysalis' reasoning for seeing friendship as a poison; her old hive was destroyed when she trusted a small group of ponies who turned out to be monster hunters.
  • Nightmare Sequence: First half of Chapter 1 is this for Twilight Sparkle.
  • Parental Neglect: Cozy Glow's parents, especially her mother. In Cozy's memories, we never see her eyes, her head is always turned away from her daughter and she never listens to her. Not even when Cozy tells her that she got her cutie mark.
  • Secret Passage: Twilight Sparkle's chambers hide a passage to her secret underground lab.
  • Shout-Out: The pose of the petrified Mane 6 resembles their statue from the show's final episode.
  • Sinister Silhouettes: When Tirek and Cozy finally agree to try and become better people, they are freed from stone. But the next panel shows the shadows of Celestia and Luna, and the expressions on Tirek and Cozy's faces do not give an indication that the sisters are happy.
  • Slasher Smile: All the monster hunters have this when they began the massacre of the changelings. Both Celestia and Luna give one when they explain their plan to get rid of the Legion of Doom once and for all.
  • Start of Darkness:
    • Tirek: One of the spells in his magic books gives him an idea of how to prove to his father that his magic makes him strong. After that, he prepares for his journey into Equestria.
    • Cozy Glow: A flyer for the School of Friendship gives her the idea that with all the power friendship will give her there will be nopony who can ignore and hurt her again.
    • Queen Chrysalis: After the betrayal of Steeltrap in the ashes of her hive, all she sees is what danger friendship brings to her changelings.
  • Taken for Granite: To dive into the shared dream of Legion of Doom, the Mane 6 must share a petrified state with them.
  • Title Drop: Right away in the second part of Chapter 1.
Twilight Sparkle: I already know what to do. I'll do the same thing I always do when I have a friendship problem. I'll fix it.
    • And again by Celestia on page six of Chapter 2.
Celestia: (To Luna) Let's discuss how we're going to fix that problem.
  • The Unfavorite: Tirek is this to his father, Vorak. Though he tried to impress his father, Vorak felt Tirek was a failure as he preferred might to Tirek's magic.
  • Tragic Villain: The Legion of Doom were all rejected and scorned by their families and society.
    • Tirek failed to live up to his strict father's expectations of being a good athlete.
    • Cozy never knew love or friendship and became a troublemaker and became addicted to friendship via her abusive parents.
    • Poor Chrysalis came to distrust friendship when a group of "friendly ponies" killed much of her children.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Tirek before he realized that his father never appreciated all of his accomplishments.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Celestia calls out Twilight for abandoning her duties as ruler of Equestria and turning herself to stone to help the Legion of Doom, as she left Equestria defenseless for an entire week.
    • Twilight in turn calls out the sisters for their Aesop Amnesia regarding how they treat villains (they fight the villains, they banish the villains, the villains become Twilight's problem, rinse and repeat.)
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: All three villains turned to evil due to rejection and trauma.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are:
    • Applejack and Rainbow use this on Tirek to help him see that he doesn't need to steal power to be respected. He's already worthy of respect with his own skills.
    • Rarity and Fluttershy use this on Cozy when they find out the Legion actually cared for each other. They then admit that they care for her, despite everything that has happened and knowing that they won't get any power out of it. And that's what finally causes Cozy to accept their help.
