In a dark future where Amity Park is in ruins, a ghostly panther escapes from a mysterious facility. Arriving in Clockwork's domain, the ghostly creature is revealed to be an adult Sam. With Clockwork's help, she manages to escape into the past just before the organization chasing her captures him, with its leader sending a squad of mechanical-canine 'Retrievers' through the portal after her. Danny and Sam soon find themselves in the middle of a mystery as they not only fend off the Retrievers, but also try to unravel the cause of this dark future if they are to have any hope of preventing it.
