WHEN NOTHING REMAINS OF THE ENEMY, THERE CAN BE NO WAR.
Once this Vessel's first purpose is complete, the sky will be split, the sun shall be rendered a shadow, and the world shall burn.

Empyrean Rings, as the author describes, is an Analog Horror series first conceived as a "fan-made passion project AU of THE MONUMENT MYTHOS", though that evolved into its own original story. The Series originally spanned two channels, Ember Alberson - Films and the now deleted Whiteshell, each one representing a different universe, Ember Mythos and Rob Mythos respectively, but they are linked and present of one connected multiverse. In July 2022, a third series belonging to Empyrean Rings was added to Ember's channel, Infinite Oceans, set in another universe (or presumably, multiverse) than the other two series, forming a trinity.

As vagueness on it's story is an integral part of Analog Horror, it's difficult to summarize each. Rob Mythos features the ancient Whiteshell scientific research, while Ember Mythos tells the story of mysterious spires who threaten Earth from outer space.

In October of 2023, Rob Mythos privated or deleted all of his work on Whiteshell after releasing a series of racist statements online, and Ember stated that the Rob Mythos and Whiteshell would be written out of canon. How this will affect the series as a whole is currently unknown.

On February 24 of 2024, ATLANTIS SHORES was released, effectively rebooting the entire series.

The series can be watched via a playlist containing all relevant videos.

Tropes present in the old series
  • Adaptation Expansion:
    • DEANDERIVATIVE shows that James Dean based his presidential ad on Huey Long's presidential ad from the 1930s.
    • In the Emberverse, the Air Force One Angel was most likely named after the Seraphim, an entity similarly made out of fused Giza Glass-affected civilians that had first been spotted 10 years before the Angel was given their name.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Maize Machines wasn't particularly portrayed as either good or bad in the Deanverse. In the Emberverse, however, they're implied to straight up have killed Irene Forest and faked her suicide. Or did they...?
  • Added Alliterative Appeal: Following the "parent series", both Ember Mythos and Rob Mythos are all Alliterations on all caps, with no spaces, such as RAINIERRETALIATION, SOVIETSERAPHIM, WHITESHELLWARNING or MORLINMYSTERY
  • Alternate Universe Fic: Ember Mythos and Rob Mythos are, of course, set in universes similar to the Deanverse from Monument Mythos. Obviously, key differences between the three universes become more and more apparent as they develop.
    • Ember Mythos possibly even started out as a Pseudo Canonical Fic. The disclaimer at the end of IMPACTORINCISION even explicitly states that it was set in the Deanverse.
    • Rob Mythos also references events of the Deanverse, such as the Suez Canal Crab and Dean's presidency.
  • Benevolent Abomination: After Memphis was hit by a nuke in 1993, 400,000 Americans formed together into a being nicknamed the Seraphim. The Seraphim at first was thought to be malevolent, but that opinion changed when it went to Europe and dealt massive damage to Soviet forces, being an important part of the eventual NATO victory.
  • Beneath the Earth: All spires that are on earth are dormant underground, usually beneath mountains. In ATLANTISASCENSION, they all rise out of the ground en masse, heading towards Mars.
  • Canon Immigrant: Rob Mythos isn't shy to add characters from Mister Manticore's Pre-Mythos era, such as the Pyramid Fin and the Palm Parasites.
  • Landmarking the Hidden Base: In the Emberverse, Mount Fuji was used as a fortress/laboratory for the Japanese Empire to conduct inhuman experiments on Allied prisoners, such as the usage of Giza Glass to explore it's boundaries and leaving multiple subjects completely mutilated beyond human capabilities in the process.
  • The Multiverse: Ember Mythos and Rob Mythos were revealed to be connected in WHITESHELLWONDERS. The video, which takes place in the Rob Mythos Universe, depicts an experiment in which several objects of the Ember Mythos appear, such as the "Nile" Company logo, and later they engage in communication.
  • Nuke 'em: Operation Typhon, as seen in RAINIERRETALIATION, consisted of a F-117 Nighthawk and an experimental warhead, sent to destroy the Rainier Spire. Though we don't know how strong this warhead was, we can assume that it was immensely powerful.
  • Oddly Common Rarity: In the Deanverse, Giza Glass was quite rare. In the Emberverse however? There wasn't just one 321 ft. Glass Pyramid coated on it, there was TWO.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: The Periplaneta Bison and it's Memphian subspecies from Rob Mythos's most notable feature are their extremely long, black tongue. The Memphian Periplaneta Bison takes it up to eleven by having multiple tongues throughout it's body as a result of the nuclear radiation and fallout from Memphis's bombing.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: To name a few...
    • Nile is a Fictional Counterpart of an actual company who is notably more technologically advanced than any Real Life company and provides statements of the events shown in the vidoes in their descriptions.
    • MISTER MORBID's online alias, editing style and role in the stories are extremely similar, if not the same, as Doctor Disturbing's.
  • That's No Moon: Literally. In CELESTIALCHILDREN it is revealed that most moons across the solar system are riddled with dormant spires.
  • Title Drop: In WAYWARD EXPLORER, the very first installment of Infinite Oceans: "They will be a series of infinite beaches, running along the shorelines of infinite oceans".

Tropes present in the rebooted series
  • Alternate History:
    • The Soviet Union still existed even in the 1990s and seems to have far more cordial relations with the United States, to the point the two jointly operate a Lunar base defended by space superiority fighters.
    • As noted above, the presence of space-based fighters and weaponry indicate that their 1990s is more advanced compared to ours, at least with regards to space technology and weaponry, and more focus given on space travel and infrastructure in response to the threat presented by the Spires.
  • Cool Starship: The SF-99 Tempest II space superiority fighters manufactured by the Americans, which are fairly-hard sci-fi fighter spacecraft whose most notable engagement was a five-fighter squadron defending the American-Soviet Anaximenes base against a single Spire, the Hadley Spire, and its escorts, successfully destroying it but with the loss of two of the squadron.
  • Shout-Out:
    • On their way to intercept the Hadley Spire, Mudbed wonders if they could target a potential weak point to destroy it like in Star Wars.
