Habitual Line Crosser is a Web Original Youtube channel that parodies the news and current events by portraying various countries and military equipment talking and arguing with each other. With basic animation (mostly the creator superimposing his own eyes and lips on the relevant images), the channel relies on unexpectedly deep research, off-the-wall Rapid-Fire Comedy, and self-admittedly poor accents to characterize vehicles and nations alike and offer a geopolitical view that is both informative and hilarious.

This Youtube channel includes examples of:

  • Ax-Crazy:
    • The F-22 is portrayed as one bloodthirsty piece of equipment that has been itching for an actual air-to-air kill for so long its mind is tearing at the seams. It practically begs potential enemies to try and start shit so it can blow them out of the sky.
    • The B-1 Lancer is even worse, an outright pastiche of Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight.
B-1: Do you see these bombs? Do you wanna know where I got 'em?
  • Berserk Button: While any nation would be understandably pissed off by its navy (military or merchant) being attacked, the USA's particular reactions to others "touching the boats" is treated as this. Japan is quick to warn everyone involved not to do so, and Yemen gets to find out the hard way.
USA: All you had to do was not touch the boats and keep your hands to yourself but no. You chucklefucks didn't wanna listen to reason. So now, you get to deal with the repercussions of your actions.
  • Big Brother Instinct: The F-15 is protective of his 5th generation younger siblings the F-22 and F-35. He also encourages his younger brother the F-16 before the latter gives his introduction speech.
  • Blood Knight: Just about every piece of military equipment the USA operates counts, especially the airplanes. At best, they're professional but proud of what they do. At worst, they border on murderous psychosis barely reined in by Uncle Sam's leash.
    • Also most countries, especially Poland.
  • Brains Versus Brawn: The theme of the Sibling Rivalry between the brawny F-22 and the brainy F-35.
  • Character Catchphrase: The F-22: "Would you intercept me? I'd intercept me...".
    • Also the F-15: "104 and O, look out below."
  • Crazy-Prepared:
    • USA.
USA: God, our spending is out of control...
    • Also Poland, who is building up his military in anticipation of a conflict with Russia.
England: Bloody hell! Poland, what are you preparing for!?
      Poland: To win.
  • December–December Romance: The B-52 when he meets an AN-225.
  • The Dreaded: Several examples.
    • Canada. He has committed so many war crimes, half of the Geneva Conventions are a list of things he did in previous wars. Few countries want to find out what new atrocities he might add to the list if they have to fight him.
Canada: Oh yeah there bud. Geneva suggestions.
Also Canada: I'm aboot to stop saying sorry.
    • The F-22, an air-to-air interceptor so powerful, he has never got any kills since all enemy aircraft are too afraid to try and face him in combat. The US even has a law on the books banning the export of the 22 to other countries.
F-22: I am the scariest thing with wings that has existed since the Cretaceous period. Every time somebody met me in the air, they ran away.
    • When England lets slip that an American USMC unit canceled their birthday ball, this provokes a Mass "Oh, Crap!" from Japan, Iraq, Germany, Australia, and even Canada. Only Poland expresses happiness at the possibility.
  • Eagleland: USA and his various states portray both categories of American stereotypes.
  • Erudite Stoner: The aircraft carriers America sends to the Mediterranean.
  • Franken-vehicle: The FrankenSAMs America built from various surface-to-air missile systems that he has been hoarding over the last hundred years.
  • Make the Bear Angry Again: Since this takes place during the Russian invasion of Ukraine , Russia trades barbs with Ukraine and the NATO countries.
  • National Stereotypes: Just about every country featured gets a stereotypical accent and mannerism. Also some US states.
  • Old Soldier: The B-52 is treated this way. It has been around for a while, and continues being used in various operations, always getting more upgrades to stay in the race and always ready for another bombing run. Maybe a little too ready in fact.
B-52: I started a war in Afghanistan, I started Desert Storm, and I told you sons'a bitches: By God, I'll start the next one.
  • Only in Florida: Florida's hat.
  • Papa Wolf: While the USA and its war machines are generally very protective of their own, The B-52 "Grandpa" BUFF might be the most prominent. The very moment it heard a rumor someone might've shot down an F-22, someone that's practically its kid:
B-52: Well, I guess that just about settles it. They fucked with the kid. Now I'm about to make that entire country uninhabitable for the next 3000 years.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot
  • Ripped from the Headlines: Most of the videos involve the countries and/or their military equipment arguing over recent news events.
  • So Proud of You: Happens several times, both between planes and between countries.
  • Straight Man and Wise Guy: USA and his father England frequently have this dynamic, with England being the straight man and America being the wiseguy.
  • The Unintelligible: Louisiana . Neither the USA nor any of his other states can understand him. France has to translate him for America (and for the audience).
  • World War III: A potential Russia-USA war is depicted here.
