SXR123 (short for Sonic X Rules 123), real name: David Fischer, is a content creator known for his work as 3D animator for DEATH BATTLE!. Whose YouTube Channel is dedicated to making animations of different kinds, mostly comedic Source Filmmaker animations which initially consisted of standalone short videos. In recent years the channel has taken a more continuity-filled approach to the SFM videos, now featuring an episodic yet continuous plot involving the Tyrannosaurus rex Rex and his friends: Godzilla 2014, Haruhi Suzumiya and Jeanne Alter who all live in one island where they get involved on all kinds of misadventures, while simultaneously dealing with the threat of El Pollo, a malevolent Latino rancher chicken who wants to capture Rex.

DevilArtemis is a frequent collaborator and supporter of the channel, who continuously guest stars such as reprising his role from his own videos as Kermit and Perfect Cell; as well as voicing other new characters in the series.

The videos contain examples of the following tropes

  • Animation Bump: The first SFM videos have decent animation, but are notably much choppier and less expressive than the modern videos are; as said videos feature a wider arrange of expressions and more detailed movements. In addition the backgrounds were changed from a white void-like room to open fields, mountains, cities and the likes.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Some videos have the characters being made aware of the fourth wall.
  • End of an Era: "T-Rex and El Pollo and... Godzilla 2000...!" alludes to this with the development of Rex and his friends moving away from their old island to a new home.
  • Legion of Doom: El Pollo joins forces with Godzilla 2000/Millenium and Saber Alter to capture Rex.
  • No Ending: Some videos abruptly cut after Rex shrinks or a character grows without any real further resolution.
  • Running Gag: 9 out of 10 times a video will have Rex screaming in an unmanly fashion due to being intimidated.
  • Shared Universe: With DevilArtemis' Perfect Cell vs. series, as Rex has made guest appearances in the latter series and the characters from the channel's videos show up in here and are explicitly made out to be the same ones rather than alternate versions along with intercontinuity events often being brought up.
  • Story Arc: One such arc is started in "T-Rex and Zilla and... El Pollo?" which features the debut of the titular chicken as one of the series' antagonists who becomes an overarching threat (however ineffective) that wants to capture Rex.
  • Strictly Formula: The first few videos all follow more or less the same formula: A Godzilla roars and Rex shrinks in fear while screaming like a girl. Later videos start playing with this.
