Are they ready for Freddy?

FNAF vs TF2 is an animation made by wolfalberto, and serves as a crossover between Five Nights at Freddy's and Team Fortress 2.

The premise follows Heavy, Soldier, Scout and Demoman as they wind up in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, and the animatronics are definitely eager to cause scares and murder. How well they actually stand up to war-hardened mercenaries, however, is up to question.

This animation contains the following tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: Soldier coming in to face down Chica practically saved Scout from getting killed. However, it didn't save him from further pain.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: During the intro, Demoman notices the memes surrounding him, and when angered enough, he actually climbs out of the screen, causing him to temporarily slip into the Backrooms before arriving at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
  • Butt-Monkey: At the beginning, Demoman falls victim to this plenty; he's flung out the mercs' van, gets inexplicitly attacked by said van, squashed by a phone pole, and then slips through The Backrooms.
    • To a lesser extent, Scout, at least when they reach Freddy's, he attempts to leave but gets interrupted by Heavy, fails to leave a dent in the animatronic hunting him down, requiring Soldier to save his ass, and gets used as a bludgeon by said Soldier against Chica.
    • After all of this, the title is passed onto Foxy in his attempts to kill Demoman; not only does Demoman not pay him OR his traps any mind, but Foxy is consistently Hoist by His Own Petard and ultimately fails to even get Demoman's attention before slipping and tumbling into a pit.
  • The Can Kicked Him: Bonnie jumps Soldier in the men's room. Soldier being Soldier, however the big bunny ends up being the one dead in the bathroom.
  • The Comically Serious: Compared to his portrayal in several other animations, Heavy is mostly quiet and angry throughout the entire animation, only saying two actual lines in his screentime and not playing along with anyone else's tomfoolery.
  • Composite Character: Canonically, Freddy and Golden Freddy are both separate characters. In this animation, however, it's implied Golden Freddy is a One-Winged Angel form Freddy takes to actually stand a chance in his fight against Heavy.
  • Finger Gun: The finishing move from Heavy that knocks Golden Freddy out of existence.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Soldier uses Scout as a weapon to attack Chica with, which dislodges her beak but doesn't take her right out of it.
  • LOL, 69: The companion video pointing out the number of references had the CinemaSins-esque final tally of 69. The sentence: Nice.
  • No-Sell:
    • When Soldier is doing his business in a bucket, Bonnie attempts to Jumpscare him. Not only does this NOT work, but the minute Soldier pulls his pants up again, he yells loudly at Bonnie before attacking him.
    • While being approached by Chica, Scout tries in vain to throw a knife at her. This barely dents her, and she takes it to use against the now-defenceless Scout.
    • Chica does it again after Soldier tries to snap her neck. Being an animatronic with a far better range of motion in its neck than a person, she just looks insulted more than she is injured.
    • Freddy bites Heavy's arm while fighting him. All Heavy does is make an annoyed hmm before flicking him away.
  • Rage Breaking Point: After all of his traps fail to kill Demoman, Foxy finally snaps and attempts to bum-rush the merc, only for him to slip on a conveniently-placed banana peel that seals his fate.
  • Running Gagged: In the intro, after Demoman falls out of the fourth wall, Soldier feels compelled to proclaim that Demoman is dead for the fourth time, but Heavy shuts him up before he can get all the words out.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Scout tries to pull this early on, but Heavy stops him in his tracks as he reluctantly agrees to stay.
  • Shout-Out: There's so many that they needed their own video to cover them.
  • The Stinger: After the credits, we see Engineer trying to build a teleporter to escape the Backrooms, but failing miserably, really needing more metal to get the job done. On cue, Foxy ends up tumbling into the Backrooms, with Engie immediately readying himself for the opportunity to salvage free metal from the robot fox. All Foxy can do is give an annoyed Aside Glance before the animation ends.
