"Hey Howdy Hey!"

Brian the Bunny Rabbit was a character created by YouTube user Mayday51 as the mascot of his channel. Brian, a clipart character who speaks in text-to-speech, appears with a bunch of other characters as they showcase the best of nostalgic children's television. The character first appeared in a mock awards ceremony in 2016, although Mayday51 initially started his channel in 2014.

The most popular of the series starring the character is Mayday51's TV Burp, a Homage to Harry Hill's TV Burp where Brian showcases the best of British children's television, and later on some shows produced internationally, all while his friends, ranging from a purple monster named Hugh, and an orange cat named Dusty, and some of Mayday51's real-life friends, who happen to all wreck havoc in skits. His wife, Brianna, helps him host a children's TV block named Brian and Brianna's Bright Lunch.

The videos have proven to be minor successes, and have proven to be popular for Mayday51's community. Unfortunely, due to personal issues he closed his account on 27 March 2023 and soon left the internet as a whole. Because of his sudden leave, almost every single one of the Brian videos are lost, with only a small amount of uploads being preserved. Revivals of the character have been done by several other YouTubers, including fellow friends Harry Humble and Ellis Pagon, the latter of which produced Brian the Bunny Rabbit's Advert Bloomers in December 2023, and Harry Humble's upcoming Video Game Bloomers series.

This YouTuber provides examples of:

  • Crossover: Postman Pat sometimes makes cameo appearances in some TV Burp episodes, delivering all sorts of mail.
  • Curse Cut Short: Although the videos are mostly family-friendly, this occurs every once in a while. In the tenth episode of Mayday51's TV Burp: The Lost Episodes, he proceeds to say:
Brian: Oh you son of a-(Studio set crashes down)
  • Encyclopaedic Knowledge: Well, Brian certainly knows his Kids' TV!
  • Filler: Series 3 of Mayday51's TV Burp featured a bunch of "Top 10" lists from fans which had little purpose in the show, to the point Mayday51 regretted adding them in.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: From Deal or No Deal skit from Brian the Bunny Rabbit's Kids Show Bloomers:
"Noel" (Portrayed and voiced by Ellis Pagon): Alright Brian, the Banker is now offering to swap your box.
Brian: Well, that is a good offer, but I'm feeling lucky. Ask me the question, Noel.
Noel: Okay then, Deal or No Deal?
    Brian: Deal.
Noel: Okay then. (Brian opens the box, and finds out he gained a Penny)
Brian: EDMONDSSSSSS!!! (''throws a frying pan at "Noel Edmonds")
Staff member: Somebody call an ambulance!
Brian: What have I done? Good god... who's going to helicopter the poorly kids their presents this Christmas? (crying)
  • Laugh Track: Thanks to the supply of the BBC sound effects archive!
  • Limited Animation: To a tee. None of Mayday's characters move professionally, instead, their images move around without any animation movement. His later videos had improved animation quality, but that's not saying much.
  • No Budget: Well, you can certainly say that. Mayday's characters are simply pieces of clip art that don't move professionally (well, the images stay still) and all of them speak in text-to-speech voices, most notably voices commonly heard on GoAnimate. This was played with by Harry Humble when he guest-starred in a Blankety Blank pilot hosted by Brianna the Bunny Rabbit that never got anywhere.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Brian is not Mayday51's real name by any chance. He prefers to be called by his username. Otherwise, Brian himself averts this trope.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Brian loves using this trope, for example, this one from Brian the Bunny Rabbit's Gameshow Bloomers when describing the 2008 revival of Going for Gold:
Brian: Are you... trying... to get yourself... axed on the air? This isn't the Going for Gold I remembered in my time! My apologies, but having a low-budget revival of a popular show on a channel that doesn't get the best ratings containing a third of the show devoted to the host himself with shoe-horned phone-ins that would have ripped people and some companies off their mortgages? That's BOGUS. And to think it replaced the OTHER long-running show that started one of the biggest scandals of television history? GET OVER IT! My word... call THAT a "masterpiece", give those contestants waiting in the studio something more entertaining during the ads while you're at it!
His epic conclusion of forcing himself to watch two episodes of Fleabag Monkeyface on Brian the Bunny Rabbit's Kids Show Bloomers:
Brian: (sarcastic laughter) Hardy-ha-ha-ha. As you can tell, I did not laugh once, not twice, not three-times-a-gunging, over this badly-written stupid disgusting flipping unfunny apple-bobbing banana-peeling nose-bleeding low IQ enducing four-year-old-pandering ear torturing ugly-looking nappy leaking quality-decreasing rip-off-cabining garbage! Out of all the tripe I've covered in this show, i've been paid to watch these and review on the telly so you don't have to. All in all, "Sickbag Punkeywotsit" stinks! Don't watch it! It deserves to go down the toilet! What an absolute load of bullsh- (cut to colour bars)
