BIONICLE – Ignition War is a Stop Motion web video created by Bohrok321.

The only simple way to describe it is that the video follows the basic premise of the BIONICLE Legends arc only for things to diverge in increasingly chaotic ways.

It must be seen to be believed. It can be found on YouTube here.

BIONICLE – Ignition War provides examples of:

  • All Animals Are Dogs: When Kardas is first formed, the first thing Vezon has it do is roll over.
  • Alternate Universe: The characters travel to one to find another Mask of Life when the one in their home dimension is destroyed.
  • Anyone Can Die: Various characters who didn't die in Legends die here.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Like in the regular ending of Legends, Makuta hijacks the Great Spirit Robot.
  • Cybernetics Eat Your Soul: Subverted. Avak is rebuilt to the point where he’s pretty much unrecognizable and seems to be little more than a giant attack robot. However, when he sees Axonn again, he remembers enough of himself to enact his grudge.
  • Enemy Mine: On a couple of occasions, the most notable being when almost everyone teams up to fight Vezon.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: When the Great Spirit begins dying, a timer is set to 360 minutes, meaning the events of the movie take place over the course of just nine hours.
  • Fusion Dance: Inverted. The Spear of Fusion mostly gets used to split beings apart. Besides creating Vezon, it also splits Jaller and Hahli into their Inika and Mahri selves, giving Jaller brain damage. Later played straight when it’s used to fuse Vezon to a Kanohi Olmak like in canon.
  • Good Angel, Bad Angel: Matoro gets these in the form of a ghostly minifig of himself and the Hakan minifig.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Like in Legends, Matoro dons the Mask of Life and ends up dying, though, not before kicking a whole lot of ass.
  • Mythology Gag: One of the final shots is of the Matoro minifig standing in front of a Bionicle piece just like the final page of the Ignition comics.
  • Ninja Prop: The sets' feet are held steady by pieces of clay. At one point, some minifigs remove the clay from Kongu's feet, making him slip up.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: Axonn and Brutaka do this when they see the Piraka break the Mask of Life.
  • Shout-Out:
    • After joining the Toa, Avak spins around like Wonder Woman or perhaps a Magical Girl and gains some of Matoro's armor.
    • When Carapar, a crab-like character, scuttles around, he makes Mr. Krabs noises.
  • Silence Is Golden: There is no spoken word dialogue. The characters talk through speech bubbles, and even those have images instead of words.
  • Spectacular Spinning: The Kahgarak does a whole lot of spinning when it fights.
  • Tears of Blood: Matoro sheds these shortly before he sacrifices himself.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Avak ends up becoming this after being captured by the Toa Inika.
  • Wham Shot: The Piraka breaking the Mask of Life.
