As a Wild Mass Guessing page, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

The Robe is Christopher.
  • Unless there's more than one Robe then this is Jossed. Robe is Maryrose.
    • Further Jossed in a different way with the reveal that there is more than one Robe, but the other is Christopher's living doll Anthony.
Anthony murdered Christopher.
  • Instead of Christopher committing suicide upon learning what becoming an "adult" would mean for his living doll, as Anthony has claimed to Maryrose and Rosemary, Anthony killed him and lied so he'd still have some allies to turn to and lead to further rebellions in order to free humans from shadows completely. Motivation could range from it being a result of an argument after learning the truth getting too heated, perceived self-defense, or even a sense of revenge for how much shadows take from "their" humans which isn't helped by him being considered more "exceptional" than his "master".
    • Seemingly jossed as of Chapter 149. "For the sake of the great Christopher." Also, the Fridge Logic of how a human like Anthony not only found out about the process but got back to the Children's wing leads to another theory entirely...
Anthony is actually Christopher post-merge.
  • The Soot pipes leading between wings are inimical to human life, and how would Anthony become aware of the details behind the merging anyway, since the children aren't told even a moment before being shoved into the casket? No, "Anthony" is in fact a maddened and guilt-ridden Christopher, having involuntarily killed his best friend to take his face.
  • Chapter 189 gives us much more insight into the unification process: it starts with a days-long regimen of repeatedly doping the Living Doll using the "true coffee" (presumably a more powerful version of the usual "special coffee" made using Fragments of Favor) and getting them to constantly influence their Shadow. It's only after the Living Doll is totally broken and their Shadow completely accepting of the process that they are instructed to enter the box. Notably, when Anthony bursts into Maryrose's room after escaping, he is still wearing the Portrait, while Lou is wearing only her standard clothes during this process and her Portrait is nowhere to be found. While these revelations don't clearly invalidate either interpretation, I personally believe that the circumstances required for Anthony to actually be Christopher have been made less plausible.
Compensating for changes in season 1 if a studio makes future seasons.
  • The Robe changed into a faceless doll for episode 4. Granted, the faceless doll disguise is great for traveling incognito and actually makes more sense for not standing out, but the mystery genre means we need to have clues. Considering that Robe is an important character...
    • When we learn about Maryrose's power, it cuts to the faceless doll visiting the soot production facility. The phantom from episode 3 gets retconned as a test drive of her power.
Louise Falls in Love with Shaun.
  • Considering the relationships of the Shadows and Living Dolls, and since Shaun's Shadow, John, is in love with Kate, whose Living Doll, Emilico, is the object of affection of Patrick, whose Living Doll, Ricky, is in love with Lou, the living doll of Louise, it should complete the Love Dodecahedron of the series.
"Rummy" is something from Rum's original life.
  • It was either a pet or a doll Rum loved so much even the coffee couldn't fully erase it.
    • Confirmed. The first Rummy was a small stuffed bunny, made for Rum by her mother. Since children can't bring any personal items with them to the Shadows House, Emilico encouraged Rum to wear the toy Rummy's ribbon on her finger as an accessory.
Emilico comes from a lower class background.
  • Other Living Dolls seem to already know how to read and write, whereas Emilico had to be taught by Kate. Perhaps she Never Learned to Read before coming to Shadows House because she's an orphan or comes from a poor family that couldn't afford schooling.
    • Does being from the circus count as a lower class background? Because it turns out that Emilico is from the circus.
    • Confirmed. She was a nameless orphan before being taken in by the circuit and was treated badly even before she was kicked out.
Mia is experiencing Amnesiac Dissonance.
Mia has different facades for different occasions; Sweet and sisterly to other Dolls, haughty as Sara's face, and moody when by herself. As "Sara", Mia came from a well-to-do family and acted like an Alpha Bitch to her peers. That side of herself was adopted by Sara.
Isabelle and Mirabelle will be the next to join Kate's rebellion.
  • Kate has already started to earn their trust as teammates, but learning about Unification will be the final push to make them allies. Losing a living doll means that one of the twins has no chance to ever become an adult, so they'll end up choosing loyalty to each other instead of the Shadows House's twisted system.
Edward is so wary of Kate because she made a mistake while pretending to "grow" into a Shadow
  • Kate was already a fully formed Shadow when she infiltrated the House. So it's likely that something she did while pretending to grow from Morph to Shadow tipped off Edward. Perhaps she learned too fast?
Emilyko actually is a living doll crafted by some separate entity, and started to become human after being given a name by Kate.
  • On top of Emilyko not initially having a name of her own, she also doesn't understand what hunger is until Kate explains it to her, despite that being something she would logically be intimately familiar with spending her life on the road in a circus. "Dolls" retain knowledge that is deemed useful, like reading and writing, so it wouldn't make sense for them to forget maintenance knowledge like what hunger is.

Both the Shadows and the Dolls are in a way experiments related to The Heartless and the Nobodies in a way
I mean, when you look at it, both the shadows and their dolls are very much the same like the creatures from the series, in a way that the "Shadows" are Pureblood Heartless that in a way retained their own form even after being divided from heart and body, while the dolls are in a way replicas to store what remains from the rest. The Scorches and Phantoms that has to be cleaned in the mansion in a way are pureblood heartless that had adapted to the world, being like "off springs" from the Demon Servants or the Possesors due to their "foggy and dusty" appearance, and their plan to attack the dolls are in a way the more likely they can get to devour a "heart", leaving the replicas once again in an empty state.
Christopher’s soot power and the Fragment of Favor’s origin
  • During the flashbacks, being a Star Bearer used to be a prerequisite to becoming an adult. Assuming Kate’s theory that awakening to a soot power is also required to unify, then Christopher must have had a soot power. Perhaps Christopher’s soot power was the ability to amplify other’s soot powers. Soot powers that affect other shadows is almost unheard of but currently exists with two shadows in the present (Evelyn’s Healing Hands and Patrick’s Power Nullifier), but they can’t be absolutely the first shadows ever to possess powers of that type. It’s possible that when Christopher awakened, he realized that his soot can amplify other shadow’s powers but also harms them (such as making them release enough soot to make the shadow severely weak). Christopher would naturally want to hide this, but a power like that would attract the attention of the adults and likely catapulted him into becoming a Star Bearer.
  • The Fragment of Favor is Christopher’s soot concentrated into something like a pill. Anthony would obviously know about Christopher’s soot power, but the concentrated version is new, necessitating the test run. It's Christopher's soot power amplified, causing an extreme soot power outburst and death by emaciation, as we saw with poor Margaret. How Anthony got the soot and how much he has available is going to depend on what happened between him and Christopher, but the name might be a hint at the truth. It’s likely that the only ones of these pills Anthony has are in the glass vial he keeps around his neck.
  • Chapter 189 seemingly josses this: in the innermost sanctum of the Unification Chamber lies a glass vial containing a large number of Fragments of Favor. These are used to create the "true coffee", presumably a more powerful version of the "special coffee", which is used to prime both Shadow and Living Doll for the unification process. The clear implication is that the Fragments have been around since long before Anthony (then called Christopher) was selected to enter the mansion. If anything, it seems more likely that Anthony stole a few Fragments as he and Christopher escaped the Chamber right before Christopher committed suicide.
