Headscratchers / Shadows House

• How do the Living Dolls act as a Face for their Shadow masters? How do they know what their expressions are and how do they mimic them (and the rest of their body language) in real time? Unless I missed something, there's no telepathic connection between the two that could let the Dolls know. If anything, it should be the Shadows that copy the dolls, since they are evolved Morphs whose main ability is to mimic other beings. Emilico rarely, if ever, accurately portraying Kate's expression gets a pass, as they are not a true Shadow/Doll pair and Kate likes Emilico to just be herself anyway.
