Chilli's mother is dead
In 'Grandad', only Chilli's father appears, while both of Bandit's parents have been seen interacting with their grandchildren. Chilli also spends the episode trying to get her father to follow the doctors instructions and not exert himself post-surgery after catching him doing some garden work. If Grandad's wife were around, she would be the one making sure that her husband didn't exert himself. If Grandad felt that the garden work was urgent, Grandma would have either invited Maynard over to help, or asked Chilli to bring Bandit with her when she visits. Since Grandad has had some serious medical issues recently, and since Chilli gets emotional at the idea of her father injuring himself or making himself sick through his own stubbornness, it's reasonable to assume that her mother died fairly recently.
  • Soft confirmed in the episode "Dragon." Chilli tells Bluey about her mother, and how she encouraged her to keep drawing horses. Bluey says she sounds nice, and Chilli says "she was." Also, Chilli parting with her horse in the story seems to be a metaphor for her mother's death.

How the Heeler family can afford an expensive house
(From a "conspiracy theory" developed by Australian comedian Zach Mander in early 2021.) The Heelers' house looks like it is in the Brisbane suburb of Paddington, with a value well over a million Australian dollars - possibly four times as much. How could an archaeologist (roughly average salary for a full time worker) and an airport security guard (not much more than minimum wage) afford that? Using the connections of those jobs for smuggling and selling historic artefacts.
  • A short reveals that Bandit discovered evidence of the earliest known canine to walk upright. A popular fan theory is that he achieved such renown for this discovery that he can afford to coast on his reputation. It's also been theorized based on glimpses of Bandit's parents' quite-fancy beachfront house and Stripe's large house and pool that the whole Heeler family is well-off.

Chili is a drug/bomb-sniffing dog at the airport.
Because what other sort of security job would a dog have?

Grandpa Bob is still alive, but not in the best of health
Bob Heeler, aside from a flashback in “Fairy Tales” hasn’t been seen since “Grannies”. Leading many to believe he’s passed away. However, he also was absent from “Baby Race”, which is pretty jarring since Bluey is his and Nana Chris’s first born grandchild. Also, the short “Humpty Dumpty” Chilli has Muffin make a recording to send to Granddad. Another possible theory is that Bob Heeler has been sick (possibly with dementia or another mental illness) and is living in rest home or in a assistant living facility, and the family only sees him sporadically. This would explain Bingo’s “wherever you are” line in “Bedrooms”.note  She literally has no idea where Bob is and how he’s been.
  • Jossed in "The Sign." He went on an extended solo trip to India for self-discovery.
    • Potential Fridge Brilliance: Bingo's "wherever you are" line might have been her garbled kid-logic interpretation of being told that Grandpa Bob went away to "find himself."

The Heeler family are of Irish (or similar) descent
This guess is made from one episode, "Fairies", where the family are playing pretend to get away from the fairies, and the episode ends with Bandit having to dance in a circle to free himself and his family from the fairies, while "John Ryan's Polka" by Gaelic Storm plays on the phone: The folklore of Ireland, and it's sister countries such as Scotland are notable for the Ur-Example of The Fair Folk and the Land of Faerie that go back for centuries, while other countries have stories of fairies in their folklore, it is at it's most strong in those of blood from the British Isles. so the older generations of the Heeler family would have regularly passed on stories of fairies down to their children more often than other families. And also, there's no way that Chili would have just found the song out of the blue, she would likely have known where to look it up, and if we presume that she at least is of Irish descent, she might have a whole playlist of Irish trad music, as it's what she would be most famililar with; After all, Australia has the third largest group of The Irish Diaspora in the entire world, since there are around seven million people in Australia who can trace their lineage to Ireland, about 30% of the population, so it wouldn't be too hard to imagine.

Indy's Mum sells pot.
Based on Indy's Mum's status as a Granola Girl and her New-Age Retro Hippie-like appearance, fans speculate that Indy's Mum is the friendly neighborhood dealer, leading some to wonder (mostly in jest) about what was in all those organic, gluten-free, sugar-free treats she was selling in "Markets." (Recreational marijuana is legal in Australia but it wouldn't be as funny if she just worked at a dispensary.)

Chilli had a miscarriage, and Wendy and Bella know about it.
Chilli having a miscarriage is probably one of the more popular theories in the Bluey fandom, with prevailing opinion being that she was pregnant before Bluey, but lost the baby. She also tells Bluey in "Sticky Gecko" that Wendy was incredibly supportive after Bluey was born, making the Heelers five lasagnas to ease the stress of new parenthood. In another episode, "Sheepdog", Chilli needs some time to herself after a stressful morning, and Bluey worries that this means Chilli regrets being a mom. Upon hearing this, Wendy tells Bluey "That is not true, my love" and has Bluey and Bingo play at her house to let Chilli relax. In "Baby Race", both Wendy and Bella (Coco's mom) are in Chilli's mother's group, and Bella catches on pretty quickly that Chilli feels like it's her fault Bluey is late walking. She visits one day and has a chat with Chilli, reassuring her that she's doing great. This moves Chilli to tears.

Bandit and Chilli probably bought the house next door to Wendy when Chilli was pregnant with the baby they ended up losing, so Wendy probably remembers very well how devastating a loss it was for the Heelers, and most likely how nervous and stressed they were when Chilli got pregnant with Bluey. Even though she was most definitely either pregnant with Judo or had just had her, Wendy made sure when Bluey was born that she was always available to help the Heelers out if they needed it, and knows without a doubt that Chilli 100% loves being a mother and wouldn't trade Bluey for anything. When Chilli stopped going to mother's group, Bella asked Wendy (who most likely invited Chilli to join in the first place) about it and ended up learning about the miscarriage. Since Wendy and Judo were part of the reason Chilli stopped coming, Bella decided to talk to Chilli herself, and reassured her without explicitly bringing the miscarriage up that she was doing just fine.

If the miscarriage theory isn't true, then Mercury in "Sleepytime" represents either Brandy or her and Chilli's mother.
Some proponents of the miscarriage theory point to "Sleepytime", in which Bingo dreams that different members of her family are represented by different celestial bodies, but Mercury has no face. If, however, Chilli didn't have a miscarriage after all, there are two other possibilities for Mercury:

  • It represents Brandy, and the reason it has no face is because at the time, Brandy was still estranged from the Heelers.
  • It represents Chilli and Brandy's mother, and the reason it has no face is because she's dead.
  • Partially jossed — the miscarriage theory was confirmed to be true, but there was no confirmation that Mercury represented the miscarried child, so it may still be Brandy or Chilli's mother, or not have a meaning.

It was a young Brandy—NOT Chilli—who freed Bandit from the jinx in "Fairytale"
Keep in mind that Bandit's story is his recollection of something that happened 30+ years ago, and in real life, memory is notoriously unreliable. Also keep in mind that, while Chilli and Brandy certainly aren't identical, they DO resemble one another (including having similar coat patterns and coloration). Thus, it's possible that Bandit encountered a different red healer girl with orange, cream, and brown fur (Brandy) back in the 80s, and, when he truly met Chilli for the first time, his brain subconsciously altered his mental image of the mysterious girl to match Chilli's appearance. Getting confirmation from Chilli that her family used to vacation at the caravan park where their encounter supposedly took place would have just reinforced Bandit's (incorrect) memory.

This case of mistaken identity could possibly explain why Bandit is so sure that their paths crossed but Chilli doesn't remember it happening at all. Also worth mentioning: the girl in Bandit's story is wearing a full She-Ra costume. In Brandy's first physical appearance on the show ("Onesies"), she brings Bluey and Bingo full-body animal costumes. Perhaps Brandy remembered how much she enjoyed cosplay as a little girl, and thus, the onesies seemed like a great gift for her nieces?

  • Why would Chilli not remembering mean it wasn't her? The event had a lot more significance to Bandit than to Chilli . She didn't know she broke the jinx on him, she just said the name of a random kid.

Jean Luc and Bluey saw each other in the time between the camping trip and the flash forward
More than likely, they saw each other every year from that point on (at least until they were old enough to have access to social media).

Bluey and Muffin are played by the same actress.
Bluey has a brief but distinctly Muffin-like outburst in "Cubby", leading to the realization, listening back through much of the series, that Muffin does sound rather like Bluey putting on a voice. Not unprecedented, as one of the few identified child actors in the series plays both Judo and Chloe, but quite a bit more impressive if true, as the two cousins are constantly interacting with one another.
  • Alternatively, perhaps Muffin's voice actress is the younger sister of Bluey's, having been cast sometime after.
  • That Bluey and Muffin both have significantly deeper voices as of "The Sign" might be another piece of evidence that they share an actress, though certainly not proof, as all kids will have aged during that gap in production spans.

The show will eventually do a potshot at Peppa Pig
  • It may involve:
    • The Heeler sisters watch a show that employs the trope Narrating the Obvious, which annoys them.
    • A little boy who "always says dinosaur for everything", who Bluey finds annoying.
    • Chilli telling the girls, who are jumping in a muddy puddle, something among the lines of: "Not everyone likes muddy puddles! This isn't Polly Pig!".
    • A reference to the episode "Mister Skinny Legs" that was banned in Australia for portraying spiders as not being dangerous.

Missy is adopted or has a step-mum.
In the episode 'Pass the Parcel' we see Missy's Mum, and instead of being an Aussie Terrier like Missy, she German Spitz. All the other parents so far have been the same breed as their children (even Bandit and Chilli are still technically the same breed as both their children) and the only example of a mixed-race couple so far is Rad and Frisky.

These are the adventures of Bluey in Dog Heaven
Once upon a time there was an Australian Cattle Dog in Australia named Bluey[1], who was the oldest dog to ever live (until very recently). There was also a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog mix named Chilla, who may have been the oldest dog to ever live (32 years old) although this was never verified. After Bluey finally died, she went to heaven, as all dogs go to heaven, becoming the daughter of Chilla, now 'Chilli'. These are her stories.
  • That would make it confusing the deaths in the series (Chilli's mother, the miscarriage mentioned behind the scenes, the bird from "Copycat"...).

Bandit took drama and/or improv classes when he was younger.
How else could he be so uncannily good at committing to the bit?
  • What about being in an improv group in college?

Seeing their nieces was what inspired Stripe and Trixie to have Muffin.
After all, Muffin is younger than both Bluey and Bingo.

Aunt Mary, mentioned in "BBQ", is Mort's sister.
That would make them another alliterative sibling pair, like Bluey and Bingo.

There will be a Very Special Episode about a character who has autism.
Other preschool shows like Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood have done it, and the show itself has many fans who are autistic, so it would be amazing for them to see some representation.
  • Maybe the Sheepdogs from "The Sign" have an autistic child.

Possible reasons for Judo to only rarely be present in the neighborhood.
  • Wendy is very obviously a single parent, so maybe Judo splits her time between her and her father.
  • Alternately, maybe Judo attends a boarding school and only comes home for breaks.

Chili might be pregnant again.
Bandit's got something on his mind in Relax and Chili's looking a little rounder than usual in that episode. Plus, they show a pregnant dog at the wedding in the Sign so they're not against showing pregnancy entirely.

Brandy's baby will be a boy.
There's already enough young girls in the Heeler/Cattle family.
  • Alternatively, Brandy does have a girl, but Rad and Frisky end up having a boy.

Stripe and Trixie might get a divorce.
In The Sign, Stripe and Trixie can be seen fighting with each other just outside during the wedding reception while Socks is kinda mimicking what they're saying using the wedding cake toppers . They might be having marital problems which could end with a divorce and we can see how Muffin and Socks handle it.

The events of "Stickbird" are connected to the family's move in "The Sign"
In "Stickbird," the Heelers go on holiday to the beach, but Bandit spends the episode uncharacteristically withdrawn and distracted. Creator Joe Brumm stated that the reasons for Bandit's behavior aren't really important to the episode's message, but in hindsight, it's possible that Bandit had just received the job offer and was weighing the pros and cons of moving the family to a new city.

Season 4 will be set in the future and focuses on Bluey's child.
Bluey's child appears to be blue just like her, so their name might be Bluey Jr., explaining how the main character will change but keep the show's title.

The incident in "The Sleepover" was NOT the first time a game of Restaurant / Chip Shop has ended with a pretend dine-and-dash and a pretend police chase.
The fact that Chilli was able to find (and don) a police cap, badge, and flashlight, AND she (or Bandit) was able to attach a red and blue flashing light to the top of the pedal car, all seemingly without missing a beat in the game, suggests that this has happened before and she already knew how to react. Granted, this turn of events COULD just be a testament to the Heeler parents' improvisation skills...but it's also funny to imagine that the seemingly posh "Husband" and "Babe" actually have a history of stealing food from eateries and getting arrested for it.
