Proof that the remaining 10% is worth trying to get Muffin to follow a single rule for.

These are recommendations made by Tropers for Bluey Fan Fics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Remember to use the template found here. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be given the cone of shame. Fics involving underage characters in sexually explicit situations are entirely unwelcome and will not be tolerated.

Discussion of appropriate recommendations are welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.

Do warn when a fanfic may head into Not Safe for Worknote , romantic, or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

You can also add to the current recommendations if you want. You can do it by leaving a review or by adding your name to the recs line. Refrain from posting Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

Unexplained Absence by azulskycollier

  • Recommended by: snowpaw_shaw
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: Rusty didn't come to school today! While waiting for him, Jack slowly realizes that he's in love with his best friend.
  • Pairing(s): Jack/Rusty
  • Tags: Fluff
  • Comments: So cute! My only complaint is that it characterizes Jack as thinking a little too mature, but it's easy to ignore. There's just a little bit of angst to stop the fic from feeling one note, and it manages to portray a pure but still obviously romantic love between two kids that feels appropriate for their age.

Rebuilding by The-Suburban-Guy

  • Recommended by: Ebbyu
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: After Chilli's death and the loss of their home Bandit has to completely rebuild his life with his daughters. If only he knew how to begin.
  • Pairing(s): Bandit/OC (m/m)
  • Tags: hurt/comfort, family, some fluff, MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH
  • Comments: Bandit has to deal with a lot following his wife's death in a fire. A pretty good look into his pain and healing, as well as how the girls handle it. Some OCs present, but all seem well-enough fleshed out. As it goes on it seems to be shifting from hurt and more into the comfort and fluff territory. Trigger warning for death, depression, and mental health. Also a fair bit of adult language and some non-detailed sexual content in chapters 6, 7, and 12.

Halloween in Brisbane by The-Suburban-Guyalso on AO3 at Halloween in Brisbane

  • Recommended by: Ebbyu
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: We all know the story of what happened in Haddonfield, but what if it was in Brisbane instead? Follow Michael on a killing spree in Bluey's neck of the woods and watch the horrors unfold! Rated M for graphic violence and language.
  • Pairing(s): none
  • Tags:Crossover with Halloween Movies, graphic depictions of violence, hurt no comfort
  • Comments: This fic works surprisingly well, and it manages to merge the two universes in a pretty satisfying way. There is a fair amount of violence, but the focus isn't solely on that, the characters are actually well written and there's some genuinely heartwarming reactions between some of them.

Out of the Blue by Master Zon

  • Recommended by: Ebbyu
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: When an older Bluey joins her friends on a road trip, she will change her life forever when her and Mackenzie "have fun". Now she must learn to deal with new stresses in her life and learn from her mistakes. A big surprise is on the way and is going to be out of the blue.
  • Pairing(s): Bluey/Mackenzie
  • Comments: A really good story! This does a great job of exploring the relationship between Bluey and Mackenzie and how the two deal with a sudden surprise. Some slight suggestive content at the beginning, but a very wholesome relationship and fic overall!

Archaeological Discovery by Ghost Writer 2356

  • Recommended by: Ebbyu
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: Bandit is asked to go to the great city of Zootopia for a archeological discovery. His trip there was one to remember. This is a prequel to The Greys meet The Heelers (recommended below).
  • Pairing(s): Chilli/Bandit
  • Comments: I really like this one, it shows Bandit in his element and introduces the Heelers into the universe of Zootopia. Check out the sequel recommendation below.

The Greys Meet the Heelers by Ghost Writer 2356

  • Recommended by: Ebbyu
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: Blueys family go to the City of Zootopia for a vacation. During their stay, they meet a certain family that consists of a baker fox, a cop bunny, and their hybrid kid. Both couples have wanted to experience new things and the kids become fast friends! Note: there are NSFW chapters (strictly between the adults); Delta Flame wrote all NSFW pairings. NSFW chapters are skippable.
  • Pairing(s): Chilli/Bandit, Judy/Gideon, Gideon/Chilli, Bandit/Judy, Gideon/Bandit
  • Comments: The two parts are very different. For some nice slice of life type stuff the SFW is great, and if you're looking for NSFW, it's also well done.

Fortune by Pond of Dreams

  • Recommended by: Ebbyu
  • Status: Completenote
  • Synopsis: Chilli has a power that was passed onto her by her mother, when her daughters start to show signs of it she must figure out how to help them control this ability.
  • Pairing(s): Chilli/Bandit
  • Comments: A very well written fic with some genuinely heart wrenching moments. Chilli wants to protect her girls and it's a very difficult time for all of them as they go through it together.

Baby Date by Rakoon 1

  • Recommended by: Unicorndance
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: When Uncle Stripe is taking care of Bluey and Bingo, he tells the story of the first time he got to babysit Bluey, which happened at the worst possible moment for him: just moments before a date he had set for Aunt Trixie...
  • Pairing(s): Stripe/Trixie and Chilli/Bandit
  • Comments: Adorable story set when Bluey was still a baby in her "bum-shuffling" phase mentioned in "Baby Race" and Stripe and Trixie were still dating.

Won’t Go! by Saffron Panther

  • Recommended by: Clockwerk Samurai 12
  • Status: Complete
  • Parody of: The Exorcist
  • Synopsis: When Bluey won’t come downstairs to eat breakfast, go to school or even get out of bed.. the rest of the Heelers fear that something’s wrong with her, and soon find she’s possessed by a dreadful demon known as Poo'nyu!
  • Pairing: None
  • Comment: Even if it’s rated K+, I was actually surprised that Saffron was able to recreate the terrifying nature of The Exorcist! I wouldn’t mind seeing future horror movie parodies done in the future, maybe a parody of Stephen King’s IT set in an alternate timeline like the Simpsons did!
