WMG / Bang Brave Bang Bravern!

Go To

A future Super Robot Wars game will have Bravern team up with mecha from one (or more) of the Brave Series
Given the series' obvious influences.
  • We will see it appear alongside Macross 7, GaoGaiGar and Gundam Thunderbolt so that we have singing mecha/cockpit music mecha meeting up with each other.
  • Of course, the game needs to include something from GRIDMAN UNIVERSE or Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom so Kenichi Suzumura can have Bravern talk to either Gridknight or Shinn Asuka.
  • Bonus points if Brave Exkaiser gets involved. Cue Exkaiser and Bravern being confused why they look like each other, then Kouta chimes in that "Bravern doesn't have a King Loader or even has a lion on his chest!", to which Isami and Lewis would agree.
  • CONFIRMED in Super Robot Wars DD!

Gravion, Dangaioh and Dancouga (OG and Nova) will return in a future SRW alongside it.
All of them are Obari works, so it's only natural to have the old and new return/debut together.

Bravern is a defector of the enemy aliens who joined humanity because he watched hotblooded Super Robots Brave-Parodies in Universe
When he first appears, before Isami uses the controls, he has a mask and color that look very villainous looking. Also, the mecha enemy in the intro looks very similar to him, potentially a brother or similar race/model. His inclusion of an old school super robot theme song that's sung by himself in his cockpit is like a fanboy who wanted his own theme music.
  • Confirmed in EP 3 that he has knowledge of Earth's pop culture as he references The Abyss when telling Isami that the breathable water cockpit is like it.
  • Ultimately Jossed as Bravern is actually a fusion between Lewis Smith, his titanoslider and the Deathdrive Knuth, the actual defector in question is actually Superbia.

There will be Sol Bravern style mass production mechs developed from reverse engineering Bravern.
As with Gravion and Tekkaman Blade, which Obari had a hand in some way, to fight the aliens, Earths military will make weaker mass production models.

Lewis will become a Gridman/Ultraman-styled hero as either an ally or rival to Isami.
In the opening, Lewis can be seen wearing some kind of toku hero-inspired t-shirt as he comes into contact with a creature made entirely of light, and a brief flash of armor appears over his hand. His storyline will likely play out as a pastiche of "guy gets possessed by an alien being" tokusatsu television shows, as a foil to Isami's super robot storyline.
  • Confirmed, Smith was Bravern all along.

Alternatively, Lewis will be the pilot of another member of Bravern's race...
But she is much more surly than her counterpart.
  • Nah, it's just going to be Lulu after she goes through alien puberty.
    • Indeed, Lulu became Superbia's pilot.

English VA speculation.
Place your bets.

Bravern will gain a Super Mode by the end of the series
Since this series is a huge tribute to the Brave Series, it would make since for Bravern to achieve a more powerful form. Which would be beneficial for the eventual final battle with the Deathdrives. And since Braven's overall design is based on Exkaiser's, Bravern will transform into his Super Mode by combining with a huge battle trailer inspired by the King Loader.
  • Confirmed. In episode 9, Bravern is able to combine with a high-tech jet called the Burn Dragon, which is patterned after the former's Dragon Jet, becoming Burn Bravern.

Isami and Bravern have met before the series began
.It's looking increasingly likely that Lulu is an example of a child for the species of Bravern and the Deathdrivers. So when Bravern first met Isami he would have looked human. His behavior comes from learning Japanese the same way Lulu has... watching Toku and Super Robot series.

Bravern is Smith from the future
.A lot of fans have speculated since the beginning that Bravern is in fact a future Smith, some of the hints in series are as follows:
  • Bravern talks to Isami as if they already met.
  • Both Smith and Bravern are eccentric, over the top and outgoing but have a hidden mature side.
  • Both desire playing the hero.
  • Both are Otaku.
  • Bravern encourages Isami and Smith to resolve their issues at one point.
  • Braverns chest emblem resembles the one on the Tokusatsu hero that Smith is a fan of.
  • Smith in ep 7 receives a mech who's more humanoid in build. It has a similar color scheme and visor color to Braverns body colors and eye color. It has a similar UI as Bravern and it can read the users brainwaves, enhancing it's movements and reaction time as if the pilot is the mech. It also is dual piloted to bring out it's full potential, similar to how Bravern can function on his own, but needs Isami to be at full power.
  • Bravern makes a lot of claims about Smiths character and self grooming habits as if he knows more than he lets on.
  • Confirmed.
