Virche Evermore -ErroЯ:salvation- is an otome visual novel for the Nintendo Switch. Developed by Otomate and published by Idea Factory, it was originally released in Japanese on October 7th, 2021. It later came out in English on November 9th, 2023 under Aksys Games. A fandisc titled -EpiↃ:lycoris- was released in September 2023 and is slated for an English release in 2024.

Encircled by spider lilies is a small island by the name of Arpéchéle. This country and its citizens have been cursed by death. Those born here die by the age of 23. However, they began to use technology in an attempt to fight against their short life spans. Through long years of research a system has emerged. Those who take part are called "Relivers". Through a cycle of discarded bodies and backed up memories, they have managed to cheat mortality.

A girl in this place has been labeled as "Death" itself and in the midst of grief she is given an offer. Guided by the Watchman of Death, will she find salvation or succumb to despair?

This visual novel contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Artificial Human: Relivers are created with lab grown bodies and memory downloads from their past selves.
  • Cast Full of Pretty Boys: Since it's an otome game, it is no surprise that all of the boys are rather attractive.
  • Distinguishing Mark: Every Reliver has a unique floral marking somewhere on their body. The pattern is determined by their DNA.
  • Gothic Horror: Much of the horror of the setting stems from how little is known about the Arpéchéle and the stifling atmosphere of the place furthers the eerie atmosphere.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Ceres is the heroine's name by default but players can choose to change it.
  • Interrupted Suicide: The protagonist is stopped by Ankou before she can take her life.
  • Red Spider Lilies of Mourning: Arpéchéle is surrounded by beds of spider lilies. The island itself is filled with death, with people dying frequently due to their short lifespans.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Due to a curse surrounding the island, the residents of Arpéchéle can only live up to the age of 23.
