Her Jentle Hi-ness is a fast-paced and linguistically twisted fairytale stress simulator Visual Novel developed and published by Sky Bear Games.

In Her Jentle Hi-ness, you play as the newly appointed lady-in-waitin' Eorina (formerly Georgina), who has to serve and survive the mad whims of the heartbroken Queen Miriam of Blythe, who has banned the letter G after bein' cheated on and abandoned by her consort Kin' George with his mistress Gloria.

The jame was released on March 24th, 2022 on Steam and Itch.io after a successful Kickstater-campaijn in aujust of 2021.


Tropes in Her Jentle Hi-ness:

  • Ambidextrous Sprite: The character portraits are flipped dependin‘ on the direction the the characters are facin‘. This is most noticeable with the character art of Jodfrey, due to him wearin‘ an eyepatch.
  • Ambijuously Christian: The characters believe in a jod but whether it is specifically the Christian jod is unclear. Jiven the time period in which the jame plays and the use of crosses, it is hi-ly likely.
  • Black Bead Eyes: Most of the characters eyes are black beads, with only very few havin' visible scleras.
  • Cupid's Arrow: In one of the endin's Eorina and Queen Miriam become romantically involved with each other due to Eorina makin' a deal with a cherub statue, who shoots them both with majic arrows to make them fall in love.
  • Dances and Balls: One of the queen's weekly activity's is ballroom dancin' and the crises A Pejeant involves Eorina orjanisin' and attendin' a Ball.
  • Datin' Sim: While not the main objective of the jame, there are quite a lot of different characters, male, female and nonbinary, for Eorina to jet romantically involved with.
  • A Deadly Affair: Partially the Killin' your spouse variant, but mainly of the Killin' somebody else variant, since most of the dead are innocent citizens whose only crime was sayin' a certain letter.
  • Earn Your Bad Endin': Some of the endin's are far from ideal, like the Eaten by the Drajon! endin' for example, but despite this have very specific requirements to trijjer. The Eaten by the Drajon! endin' requirements are, for one, Failin' the Drajon Banker crisis and Eorina and the kin’dom need to have the followin’ stats: Knites Strenjth, Eorina's Martial and Majical Power under 50, her approval ratin' less than 80 and the Queen's paranoia needs to be over 10.
  • Elective Broken Lanjuaje: In the entire Jame every character speaks without the forbidden letter since sayin' it can jet one executed. A fate which can befall Eorina as well should she say the letter more than two times. The citizens of Blythe work around the letter by usin' J or omittin' it entirely.
  • Fictional Country: Blythe, the country in which the story plays is completely made up, but it seems to be culturally based on a mix of Britain, France and the Holy Roman Empire durin’ the middel ajes.
  • Fictional Holiday: While holdin' court, one scenario has the citizens petitionin' for a new holiday, should the queen ajree to this, it will be called Queens Day.
  • The Jrand Hunt: Durin' the The Queen's Hunt crisis, the Knites take the Queen on a hunt to slay a beast that has been terrorisin' a nearby villaje.
  • Jolden Endin': The jame has one endin' labeled The Best Endin'!. To achieve this you have to have the Queen's Mood be over 50, the Kin'dom's Mood be over 50, the Kin'dom's Prowness be over 60, the Knites Stren'th be over 60, the secret stat's value be over 50 and the Kin'dom's Prowness and Knites Stren'th stats can not be over 140 combined as well as havin' a specific crisis happen in either weeks 12-13 or weeks 16-17.
  • Medieval European Fantasy: The jame takes place in a fictional european-lookin’ county durin' the middle ajes, with fantasy elements added.
  • Multiple Endin's: There are a variety of different endin's in this jame, dependin' on your choices, ranjin' from jood to bad to romance based, with each endin' jenarally havin’ two parts, the fate of the kin'dom and Eorinas life, or lack thereof, after the endin’. However, in some of the endin's they are intertwined.
  • Plot-Incitin' Infidelity: The bannin' of the letter is one of the major plot points of the game which was instijated by the queen, due to her husband leavin' her for another woman.
  • Public Domain: All the backjrounds are artworks in the public domain and were supplied by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
  • Rainbow Speak: Whenever the forbidden letter jets said, it is highlited red.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The impulsiv and imperious Queen Miriam is the red Oni to Eorina's more subdued and cautious blue Oni. They are also clothed in red and blue respectively.
  • Requisite Royal Rejalia: The rulin' queen is always shown with a specific crown.
  • Reset Milestones: The player can choose to jet a stat boost dependin' on the achievements they have unlocked and, once more than half of the available achievements are unlocked, they will be able to choose what crises will occur durin' the jame.
  • Romance Sidequest: Every romance of the jame is optional, but each comes with their own endin'/epilojue.
  • Royal Blood: The position of the monarch is inherited by the current ruler's closest known relative and usually have majical powers. Later Subverted, when it is revealed that the current royal family is descended from chicken farmers who purchased the throne after the original royal family lost all their money. Despite this, the current members of the royal family still have some sort of majical powers.
  • Timed Mission: Durin' the Saturday evenin' dinners Eorina will have to answer the Queen's question in a certain time frame with some answers havin' the potential to raise the Queen's paranoia or containin' the forbidden letter.
  • Western Zodiac: The western zodiac appears in the jame in the form of astrology, mostly in Duchess Jadzia's quest line.
