"Waiter!"
Sesame Street: Counting Cafe is a Licensed Game based on Sesame Street, developed by Electronic Arts in 1994 as part of their "EA Kids" line of games, and published for the Sega Genesis as part of Sega's "Sega Club" line of games aimed at children under twelve.

You play as Grover, and the goal of each of the first five levels on each of the six days is to serve Mr. Johnson the correct food in his order. Each level has a different shift; Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert, and for each correct order Grover gives, Mr. Johnson rewards him with a star. After the fifth star is rewarded, a monkey steals it, and Grover has to spend the sixth level chasing the monkey down to get the star back. After the first day, Grover's friends serve as the Counting Cafe's staff, and can help or hinder his progress by adding, subtracting, or changing the food in his order.

This game provides examples of:

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal:
    • Snuffy dips into this territory by wearing a green baseball cap.
    • The monkey who steals Grover's fifth star wears a pair of red and white sneakers.
  • Alliterative Title: Sesame Street: Counting Cafe.
  • Big Eater:
    • Cookie Monster. If you mess up your order and need to start over, you can come see him and he will eat all of the food on your plate. After he finishes his meal, he restocks the shelves for you.
    • Mr. Johnson could count as such as well, considering that he eats at the Counting Cafe for five different shifts over the course of six days.
  • Construction Zone Calamity: Part of the levels where Grover has to chase down the monkey involve the Monkey hiding in a construction site.
  • Huge Rider, Tiny Mount: Little Bird has no problem with carrying Grover despite Grover being several times his size.
  • Logo Joke: When you start up the game, Grover exclaims "Ta-da!" as the Children's Television Workshop logo appears.
  • Mischief-Making Monkey: After the fifth star is rewarded, a monkey steals it, and Grover has to chase the monkey down to get it back in the following level.
  • Robot Buddy: S.A.M. the Robot is one of the characters who changes the food in Grover's order.
  • Rod And Reel Repurposed: Oscar the Grouch is one of the characters who subtracts food from Grover's order by reeling it in with a fishing pole.
  • Solid Clouds: In the levels where Grover has to chase down the monkey, there are clouds that he can stand on.
  • A Winner Is You: Your reward for beating the game is to watch Grover and Mr. Johnson chase down the monkey outside the entrance to the Counting Cafe. You can press any button during the closing credits to turn on the lights and see Forgetful Jones, Oscar, Betty Lou, Ernie, Bert, Farley, Hoots, Cookie Monster, or S.A.M. inside the restaurant.
