It's like Dungeons & Dragons, but for trivia nerds!

Quiz & Dragons is a quiz game created by Capcom for arcades. In the game, a king sought the help of four warriors to help recover the Wisdom Seed from Gordion, who unleashed monsters who eat people who do not correctly answer their questions.

This game provides examples of:

  • Big Bad: Gordion is the demon who stole the wisdom seed and unleashed man-eating monsters who maul any victims who answer poorly. It's up for the main cast to take a stand and recover the seed.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Three of the protagonists have blue as part of their attire in one form or another.
  • Cleavage Window: Lagnel the amazon wears a top that bares her cleavage.
  • Dracolich: In the Japanese version, it's possible for dragons to come back as skeletons.
  • Excuse Plot: If you want a truly ridiculous excuse plot, look no further than this game, a two-player 1992 Capcom Quiz Game where you must save the kingdom of Capconia from the Big Bad Gordian, obviously a Satan Expy, who has stolen a mystical seed and used it to enhance his mooks' wisdom on subjects including, but not limited to, science, geography, and television! The mooks then go around eating people that get their questions wrong. The sage king has no choice but to send a fighter with a Healing Factor, a wizard who can change quiz categories, an Action Girl that can take out one or two choice answers, and a ninja that deals twice the amount of damage, to take back the Wisdom Seed and save Capconia. And what do you get for saving the kingdom? Your name on canned soup flavors!
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Lagnel is a blonde, and she is determined to help recover the wisdom seed alongside her three comrades.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Should someone fail to answer a monster's questions, they will get eaten.
  • Kill All Humans: Gordian sent monsters that eat people that do not answer questions correctly until humanity no longer has a future.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: Langel has long hair and is the sole female of the main protagonist group.
  • One-Winged Angel: In the Japanese game, Gordian becomes a dragon the first time he gets defeated and may become a dracolich if defeated again.
  • Smurfette Principle: The game has three male heroes (Fighter, Wizard, Ninja) and one female hero (Amazon).
  • Sore Loser: Once Gordian is defeated, he refuses to accept he lost and vows to encase the world in the dark pit once he reincarnates, calling the heroes larvae as he perishes.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: The warrior never wears a shirt as he faces off against the forces of Gordian.
