Incremental Mass is an Idle Game by MrRedShark77 released in 2021, with a remake called Rewritten released later that same year. You gain one gram of mass every second. You can then rank up at a high enough rank to unlock upgrades to increase weight much faster and new mechanics like a black hole that also grows in mass. As you progress, it becomes possible to become several orders of magnitude heavier than the universe or even the multiverse. It's largely inspired by Distance Incremental and Synergism.

The original is playable here, while Rewritten is playable here.

This game provides examples of:

  • Achievement System: The original game had a list of achievements mostly earned by progressing through the game. Rewritten doesn't.
  • All There in the Manual: It can be difficult to figure out what most of the units of measurement used by the game are supposed to mean or what they're equivalent to. Luckily, they're explained on the game's help page.
  • Cap: Neut-Muon's effect doesn't weaken pre-Meta Supernova scalings by more than 33.333%.
  • Challenge Run: There's a challenge tab where you have to reach a certain mass with a restriction like not being able to buy tickspeed or a stronger mass softcap. Each challenge has a limit of times you can complete it, with a goal that rises after each completion.
  • Chromatic Arrangement: The quarks are represented with red, green, and blue.
  • Common HTTP Status Code: After performing a Quantum for the first time, you are told mass has been vaporized and are shown a screen that shows a broken picture of it and a 404 error.
  • Diminishing Returns for Balance: It's very easy for something to become softcapped once it becomes powerful enough. The earliest one you're going to run into is the Stronger upgrade going up by only +^0.5 or so rather than +^1 at over ^10.
  • Export Save: The 1KB+ save file can be downloaded as a .txt file or exported into clipboard and pasted into a communicate.
  • Luck-Based Mission: The Primordium in Rewritten cannot be manually distributed, so a player who wants a proper distribution must spend an hour respeccing and re-distributing particles.
  • New Game Plus: There are many times where you can reset all previous features to gain a new one, like getting Rage Powers upon resetting with over 1e9 tonnes of mass or Dark Matters upon owning 1e20 Rage Powers.
  • Reset Milestones: The Quantum layer has seven milestones for how many times you Quantize, ranging from 1 to 10. The early ones mostly let you start with Neutron Star upgrades that provide Quality of Life improvements, while later ones provide direct boosts like doubling Quantum Foam gain and having Pre-Quantum global speed affect Blueprint Particle and Chroma at a reduced rate.
  • Tech Tree: The Supernova tab lets you access a tree with Neutron Star upgrades. Some of them have a number that indicates how many Supernovas are needed before a boost or other special requirements before they can be bought.
  • Video Game Remake: Incremental Mass Rewritten uses a new interface style and revamped mechanics.
