Funkin For Bikini Bottom
is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod based on SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, as well as other SpongeBob moments and memes.
Taking place during the events of the original game, Boyfriend decides to take on Plankton's robots... by rap battling them.
The mod is on V1, but is planned to have much more in store in the future.

Funkin For Bikini Bottom contains examples of:
- Adaptational Context Change: It appears that Boyfriend's the one to take on Plankton's robots instead of SpongeBob, though this is still to be determined in the next update.
- Adaptation Species Change: Boyfriend here is an anthropomorphic fish and Girlfriend is a mermaid, fitting for the type of scenario they're in.
- And Now for Someone Completely Different: Besides Boyfriend, SpongeBob himself is also one of the playable characters in this mod.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever:
- Robo-Sandy and Robo-Squidward, of course, as if Boyfriend wasn't dwarvish enough.
- There's also King Neptune in comparison to SpongeBob in "Plan Z".
- Damn, It Feels Good to Be a Gangster!: Gangsta SpongeBob, just like in the OG meme, is portrayed as a rich fashionable mafia sponge with an elegant yet vile curling moustache and soul patch. The fact that his song, "Pimpin'", is a hip hop track just makes him look even cooler.
- Evil Knockoff: Just like SpongeBob created DoodleBob, the latter creates BF's drawn copy called DoodleFriend to help him in battle mid-"Doodle Duel".
- Flipping the Bird: Robo-Sandy does this to Boyfriend when she Turns Red in "Nuts and Bolts".
- Lighter and Softer: Compared to various other SpongeBob mods for Friday Night Funkin' (such as Vs SpongeBob Parodies and Mistful Crimson Morning), this mod has no horror or creepypasta content whatsoever (aside from presumably "Pimpin'") due to it mostly focusing on the official SpongeBob game Battle For Bikini Bottom.
- Mythology Gag: Boy, there's many:
- Just for starters, the mod's UI is heavily inspired by BFBB, as well as the fact that you need spatulas to unlock each of the songs.
- The song "On Ice" is based on a scene of the episode "Fools In April", where SpongeBob "pranks" Tom (a.k.a. Incidental 6) when the latter asks for a couple of ice cubes in his drink. When Tom drinks it all, SpongeBob laughs at him for falling on it, and Tom gets mad, believing he put something weird on his drink. Turns out it was just one ice cube instead of "a couple".
- "Plan Z" is based on the climax in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, where SpongeBob confronts an army of bucket helmet people that Plankton was mind-controlling, including King Neptune, using The Power of Rock.
- One of the Game Overs is that of Hans taking Boyfriend away from the field, just like when SpongeBob falls into bottomless pits or goes out of bounds. The fact that BF recieves a lollipop if you retry is a reference to the episode "Suds".
- Our Mermaids Are Different: Girlfriend here is a red-skinned mermaid with a red fish tail. There's also Mindy in "Plan Z".
- Sidelined Protagonist Crossover: Downplayed. While he does appear in the mod, SpongeBob himself only appears in two songs, with the rest having you play as Boyfriend. The former also doesn't encounter the latter at any point (except his gangster self in "Pimpin'").
- Vocal Dissonance: Gangsta SpongeBob's voice sounds way deeper than the squeaky voice the normal SpongeBob has.
