T. Alighieri (it/he/they/go crazy), also known as The Pompous Nitwit, is an intermittently active troper.

He is always obsessed- the subject matter varies but the autism does not. Their current pet media are Sonata Arctica, My Chemical Romance and Rolling With Difficulty. He is the same person as his pfp, Erin Ruunaser from Aurora, but if you're in the Aurora fandom then you probably knew that already.

Tony is also the singer-songwriter behind The Arcturus Railway Society on YouTube. Ask me about my Dracula musical!

As an ADHD-er, he is hyperfixating on:

Tony Alighieri represents the following tropes:

  • Asexuality: You know it.
  • A Rare Sentence.
    • Mx. Alighieri (referring to the Mahabharata): "I would gladly read the longest epic poem in any language!"
    • Their mum: "That's a sentence you won't hear very often."
  • The Ace: He’s The Ace. He’s an aroace. And they ace-ace-ace and they ace-ace-ace...
  • Angrish: When indignantly keysmashing.
  • Awesome McCoolname: This, if you're a nerd.
  • Banned Episode: Took part in one of these on a small podcast.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Tends to evoke this. He keeps amassing 'older sisters'. As of 2022, it even has a friend whom they call "Aunt" and who has fully embraced her new role.
  • Big "NO!": Occasionally uses one of these, such as when they didn't check their Paradiso roadmap and had to rewrite some themed song lyrics.
  • Big Word Shout: Frequently introduces realizations with a sudden disconnected "APPARENTLY..."
  • Bizarro Episode: Liable to induce real-life versions. Ask the Aurora fan Discord.
  • Blatant Lies: Will use these sarcastically.
  • Bookshelf of Authority: Unapologetically does this in Zoom calls.
  • Book Snap: Every time it finds and reads out that justifying quote it was looking for.
  • Brainy Brunette: it is very dark-haired, and very intelligent. If you want proof, ask them to recite the beginning of Dante's Inferno.
  • Break Them by Talking: Has half-seriously threatened to do this to its friends' intrusive younger siblings. They usually don't last beyond a couple paragraphs of the Silmarillion.
  • Broken Ace: Doctor Who gave them PTSD. Yes, he's fine talking about it. Doctor Who fans are the only ones who can understand their pain, after all.
  • Curtains Match the Window: As is typical of biracial people. His hair and eyes are both a dark shade of brown that most white people mistake for black.
  • Cute Bookworm: You know it. Standing at less than five feet tall, he gets picked up a lot.
  • Perky Goth: Tony is hardcore goth and refuses to wear bright colors, and his favourite music genres are metal, emo, and punk, but personality-wise he is quite outgoing and excitable.
  • Quirky Curls: Played very straight... or, in this case, very curly. He’s crazy, nerdy, ADHD, a fan of elemental lightning, and spent its entire childhood trying to get it flat. Thanks to Overly Sarcastic Productions, he has finally learned to embrace the floof.
  • Suckiness Is Painful: As a member of the grammar police, suffers from this. Took it Up To Eleven with a self-insert OC who takes incapacitating psychic damage from abuse of language.
