In the process of writing a novel that is specifically intended as an exercise in deconstruction (TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life), which uses the following tropes:

• Action Girl (All the female leads.)
• Dark Messiah (Though she could be self-deluded, too.)

• Downer Ending (Planned as a Kill 'Em All, to be specific.)
• Dual Wielding (A lot of it.)
• Dysfunction Junction in the form of the:
• Five-Man Band (Completely and utterly subverted.)
  • The Hero, a.k.a. resident Lawful Stupid Knight Templar Villain Protagonist.
  • The Lancer, a.k.a. the Not-So-Deadpan Snarker and companion Villain Protagonist.
  • The Big Guy, a.k.a. the Dissonantly Serene Mysterious Waif with Psychic Powers who has been Touched By Demons. May or may not be a Psycho Lesbian.
  • The Smart Guy, a.k.a. the Only Sane Girl, the only thing remotely approaching a sympathetic protagonist, and squire to:
  • The Chick, a.k.a. the would-be Messiah, unintentional Dog Rapist, and likewise unintentional Vamp. In a Love Triangle with The Hero and The Lancer.
