Title: Bein' Friends - Ninten and Lloyd's theme in Mother/Earthbound Beginnings, and an apt descriptor of Ness and Kirby in this picture.
Location: Onett, Eagleland. Ness's hometown in EarthBound (1994).
Relationship Status: Ness is in his early teens and may not be thinking about people that way yet, but with a Big Eater like Kirby, why would you think about that when you could have waffles instead?
Signature: Kirby's catchphrase and Ness' default taunt in the Smash Bros. series in response. ^note

Tropes Pertaing to IF - SPOILERS UNMARKED

Berserk Button: Moving the Goalposts and Obstructive Bureaucracy.
Blade Enthusiast: I collect pocket knives.
Blind Without 'Em: I'm extremely near-sighted without my glasses.
Canada Eh: Born and raised.
Cuteness Proximity: Anything involving Kirby, especially the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! episode 'Hatch Me If You Can'. The scene in the rain and the dream sequence that followed made me cry.
Eye Scream: I hate this trope. My eyes are bad enough as it is (as mentioned above in Blind Without 'Em), so the idea of them being damaged in some way or seeing them popping out is pure nightmare fuel. inspector Gadget had to be fastforwarded at one point in particular.
Gratuitous Foreign Language: Comes with living in Canada. Je parle bien le Français (mais l'orthographe/grammaire c'est une autre histoire), y un poco de Español gracias a Duolingo. Currently learning Japanese on Duolingo.
Nobody Loves the Bassist: Played With. I play bass. Jury's out on whether or not I'm loved, though.
Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: I don't watch much in the way of movies or shows anymore. I play video games and watch Twitch streams and Youtube, but that's about it.
Pungeon Master: This trope was made for me.
Rule of Three: One of my favorite tropes.
You Are Better Than You Think You Are: I need to be better at remembering this.

EarthBound (1994) - Since Ness can buy fresh eggs and raise them into chickens to sell for a profit, I think Ness is/was in an Future Farmers of Eagleland Organization. ^note
