Trivia / The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest

  • No Export for You: This game was never released in Japan.
  • No Port For You: Being available on Nintendo and Sony platforms, Aragorn's Quest snubs Microsoft, with no Xbox 360 or PC version available. It was also originally not going to be on PlayStation 3 until Sony unveiled its PlayStation Move motion controller to convince developers to port the game to that system.
    • One plausible barrier to a 360 version of Aragorn's Quest, per an interview with a lead developer, was because its controller-less Kinect couldn't reproduce the experience of the Wii and PS3 versions, which are played with physical wand controllers.
  • What Could Have Been: The co-op mode was originally planned to work differently in which Gandalf's movement was controlled automatically by the AI, while the second player uses just a Wii Remote or Move Controller to control his attacks and spells, similar to the co-star co-op mode in the Super Mario Galaxy duology and Zahra in the Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. However, the final product gives the second player full manual control of Gandalf, requiring a secondary controller attachment for independent analog movement and AoE staff strike attacks.
