- Genre-Killer: After Moral Guardians put a stop to this show for its supposed violent influence, Hanna-Barbera laid off the action/adventure cartoons for a while. Desperate for new non-violent programming, Hanna Barbera scrambled to create a show about people solving problems with their wits instead of their fists. The rest is, like, history, man.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: For the longest time, the original Space Ghost was relatively hard to find, thanks in part due to CBS pulling reruns of the series in 1968 after moral guardians claimed that it (along with multiple other superhero cartoons from around this time period) was too violent, alongside being overshadowed by Space Ghost Coast to Coast upon the latter's premiere in 1994. Additionally, the few VHS tapes containing episodes of Space Ghost have since been long out of print, and reruns on Cartoon Network and Boomerang had ceased by 2007. Fortunately, this would ultimately be subverted that same year when Warner Home Video released Space Ghost & Dino Boy: The Complete Series on DVD, with its Warner Archive unit reissuing the DVD set in 2017 and releasing a fully remastered Blu-ray set of their own in October 2020.
