- Acting for Two: Much of the cast engages in this regularly, voicing both major and minor characters in the episodes.
- All-Star Cast: It has plenty of high profile voice actors, such as Soma Saito, Hiroki Yasumoto, Eri Kitamura, Yōko Hikasa, Shizuka Itō, Aya Endo and Kosuke Toriumi.
- Casting Gag: The series often has customers that are very interested in Yaoi manga. Hilariously enough, Soma Saito is very well-known for his BLCDs.
- Crossdressing Voices:
- Soma Saito voices Honda, who in real-life is a woman. However, the anime doesn't really make it clear that Honda is a woman aside from a couple of mentions here and there, so you would forgiven for thinking that Honda is a man.
- Yuko Sanpei voices Kamibukuro, who is a man in real-life.
- Ayumu Murase voices Azarashi, who is a woman in real-life. Unlike the above examples, Murase puts on a convincing girl-voice.
- Late Export for You: The comics in Pixiv (and the manga compilations) aren't available outside Japan until 2019 with Yen Press doing the translation for English-speaking countries.
- Write What You Know: Honda-san is an autobiography about the author's time as a retail worker at a major Japanese bookstore chain so she knows quite a lot about the ins and outs of the literary and manga industries.
