The Other Darrin: In the German version of Risen 3, none of the Voice Actors from previous games return. It's... jarring, to say the least. Especially considering that the Actor of the previous hero voiced the Launch Trailer.
The film
Dueling Movies: Came out less than a month before The Young Messiah, an adaptation of Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt by Anne Rice.
Fake Nationality: As usual for Bible films. Though the film averts having a white actor play the Middle Eastern Jesus, Cliff Curtis is of Maori descent.
The most obvious is Jesus going by Yeshua, which goes unexplained. Jesus is actually the Greek form of Christ's name (his original name is Yeshua) that simply caught on in writing. No one would have a reason to be calling him Jesus yet.
Barrabas's appearance is this. The name will be familiar to many, but his appearance as a Zealot goes unexplained. Canny Bible readers will remember that he was arrested for inciting a rebellion. But since this film takes place after Christ's death the only conclusion to draw is that he jumped right into rebellion again.
