Trivia / Rabi-Ribi

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: For some reason, Midstream Jam, the track played when fighting Rita, isn't on the official soundtrack. (This may be because it can be found online for free.)
    • This is especially true as of version 1.8, in which "Midstream Jam" (as well as the other three royalty-free songs featured in previous versions of the game) have been replaced with original compositions.
  • Dummied Out:
    • Quite a few beta version features didn't make it into the final game including: a couple bosses, a few missions, extra playable characters (Rita, Cicini and Syaro), and some unused difficulty modes (Unknown and Impossible). A large number of these features were eventually added back in through the Artbook DLC, though with a warning that not all of the features are stable (indeed, certain bosses are known for sometimes crashing the game on Impossible mode).
    • The Ravine II area was added as part of the Halloween update but remained inaccessible outside of glitches until its official addition in the Is The Order a DLC? expansion.
  • No Port For You: The Artbook DLC is excluded from the console and Vita versions, likely because several aspects of it (such as the Impossible difficulty level) can crash the game.
  • Similarly Named Works: The music for one of the Final Boss's forms, "No Remorse", shares the title of the True Final Boss theme from Ketsui, another Bullet Hell game.
  • What Could Have Been: A lot of scrapped or changed material can be found in the Artbook.
    • The "Bunny Extinction" difficulty was originally supposed to be named "Bunny Must Die", but they decided the name was not fitting to the game's concepts and was scrapped.
    • Erina could have been blue, but the developers decided on purple when they added Nixie, Nieve and Ribbon.
    • Chocolate/Vanilla and Nixie/Nieve respectively were supposed to be Dual Bosses, but this was shelved due to this being difficult to balance for an early game encounter. This concept was later reused for the Halloween Cats Optional Boss.
    • Noah was originally supposed to be the True Final Boss, and the final dungeon's filename still reflects this decision before it was changed. As well, Miru was supposed to be the final character boss - The final boss was going to be the "Darkness" that was within Miru. However, the plot was scrapped, and Noah was placed as the final boss.
    • In fact, Irisu and Miriam were originally not supposed to be fought at all, but they decided to have a fight for every character with a portrait, which included those two characters.
  • Word of God: The Artbook explains the development of certain characters. Within this, the artbook confirms the Expy between Ribbon from this game and Kirby 64's Ribbon, along with Nixie and Nieve's to Popo and Nana.
