• Accidental Downer Ending: The epilogue DLC ends with Ahriman freed to destroy the world again and Elika abandoning the Prince forever in retaliation for his actions, leaving him to face Ahriman's wrath alone. A sequel was originally planned by the devs, but due to poor sales, this timeline of the series has never been picked up by them again.
• Screwed by the Network: The Epilogue DLC was never released by Ubisoft on PC due to "business decisions", leaving gamers on the platform outraged.
• Stillborn Franchise: With the Critical Dissonance that the game received ^note Critics were positive while gamers were not so much and its lukewarm sells, Ubisoft decided to forgo actually making a sequel. The next Prince of Persia game released was related to the Sands of Time canon.
• Voices in One Room: Nolan North (The Prince) and Kari Wahlgren (Elika) recorded their dialogues in the same room.
