• Playing Against Type: Kelly Metzger, who's best known for voicing Spitfire, voices Petunia Petals, her complete opposite.
• What Could Have Been: The special was supposed to be made as a full blown sequel to My Little Pony: The Movie (2017), but the film's low box office led to it being reworked into a television special.
