Trivia / Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama

Go To

  • Out of Order: Despite being the original Series Finale, the movie aired before the last five episodes of season three: "Overdue/Roachie", "Rappin' Drakken", "Team Impossible", "Gorilla Fist", and "And The Mole Rat Will Be CGI".
    • Originally Disney cancelled it due to the Disney's 65-episode limit rule but because of not just the show's popularity but also the fans demanding it to get KP another chance, it went Un-Cancelled.
  • Pop-Culture Urban Legends: That Shego was originally going to die before they changed it due to a negative test audience reaction. This is a misunderstanding. What actually happened was that the audiences thought Kim had murdered Shego, so a scene was quickly added in to better clarify otherwise.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • There are some sources claiming that the film was going to be in Live-Action (hence the Broad Strokes of it), but this wasn't done, likely out of budget reasons. Fourteen years a later, Disney Channel would make a live-action Kim Possible movie.
    • The creators stated in an interview that they had to add Shego in the paddywagon last minute because test audiences who saw the first cut didn't see her again and thought she really had been killed, though that was never the intent.
    • There were also considerations of releasing the film theatricaly, but due to the failure of the Teacher's Pet movie (In the box office; critics loved it), it premiered as a TV movie.
    • Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley said they'd originally written it as a finale for season one as something just for themselves if the show didn't catch on. Boy, they were wrong.
