Word of Gay: According to Priest, Triumph was gay, but he was killed off before he officially came out. He had relationships with numerous women, but this could be explained by him being deeply in denial or otherwise in the closet.

Executive Meddling: Presumably the reason Batman doesn't appear, despite being a key member in the run the movie is based on - Warner Bros had a "Bat-Embargo" that prevents more than one live-action version of Batman from existing at a time, and said embargo gave preferrential treatment to filmnote this is the reason why Batman never showed up in Smallville barring the comics continuation or why the Arrowverse didn't feature him until the season one finale of Batwoman (2019), despite the latter name-dropping Waynetech a few times. And it just so happens that there was a Batman film scheduled for release that year.
