  • Better Export for You:
    • The European and Australian editions of Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk include "Gunshot Glitter" as a bonus track. The Japanese version has this as well as "Thousand Fold" (which was released in Europe as the B-Side to Everybody Here Wants You).
    • The Australian edition of "Mystery White Boy" has a bonus disc of live versions of "That's All I Ask", "Grace" and "So Real".
    • The European version of Grace (Legacy Edition) includes Strawberry Street as an unlisted bonus track.
    • The US vinyl release of Grace from 2008 includes a bonus 7" of "Forget Her" and "Strawberry Street", which was not included on European Versions.
  • Creator Couple: Was briefly in one with Liz Fraser of Cocteau Twins. Sadly, they were only able to record one song together before his death, a duet called "All Flowers in Time Bend Towards the Sun".
  • Died During Production: He died before he could complete his sophomore album, and it was ultimately released posthumously as a work in progress.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: A lot of his EPs and live albums have either gone out of print or are really hard to find.
    • Fans like to collect bootlegs of his recorded concerts on DVD and CD. His mother doesn't do much to stop this as she thinks this helps to spread his name out there.
    • Amazing Grace, the award-winning documentary about his life went into a state of limbo for a few years before finally being released on the special edition of Grace Around The World. This edition, however, is about to go out of print, leaving the documentary under the possibility of becoming this trope once again.
    • There are a fair number of unreleased, but leaked, Jeff Buckley tracks. Of note is the track "All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun" featuring Elisabeth Fraser. Whilst this song is extremely well regarded amongst fans, Fraser has consistently vetoed its official release due to regarding it as unfinished. There are indications that she's warming up to the idea.
  • Missing Episode: According to Amazing Grace, Buckley threw out almost an album's worth of recordings for his second album. This means that the two discs on Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk aren't even all of the rejected recordings from those sessions. He was planning to destroy all of the tapes, but he wanted to wait until his bandmates rejoined him in Memphis, so they could have a proper "ritual" of it. In a cruel twist of fate, he died on the night his friends returned. The tapes were saved from destruction, probably against his wishes.
  • One-Hit Wonder: Technically: "Last Goodbye" was his only chart appearance in his lifetime, peaking at #19 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks (now Alternative Songs) chart. However, based on the song's fame, "Hallelujah."
  • Real Song Theme Tune: "New Year's Prayer" was used as the theme to the first three seasons of The Dead Zone.
  • Similarly Named Works: Jeff wrote two different songs named "You And I". The first of the two, from 1993 was renamed to "Dream Of You And I" and included on the album You And I (which gave the compilation its title). The second from 1997, "You And I" was on Sketches From My Sweetheart The Drunk. "Dream Of You And I" is a short mid-tempo acoustic song in which Jeff describes a dream he had. "You And I" is an extremely slow, minimalist song with strings.
  • What Could Have Been: Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk certainly shows a lot of potential for a grand album. It's sad Jeff could never record it the way he wanted to.
