  • Actor-Shared Background: Jodi Juggler is Irish just like her actress, Siobhan O'Malley.
  • Billing Displacement: All the voice actors are listed in alphabetical order.
  • Breaking News Interruption:
    • On some stations, the premiere of the episode "The Lake Mistake; Plant Problem" was pre-empted by a ceremony honoring George Floyd.
    • On the day "Knot So Fast; Made In The Shade" premiered, its' 2:00PM rerun was interrupted on most stations for PBS' extensive coverage of the US Capitol riots, which pre-empted the rest of PBS' programming for the day.
  • Crossdressing Voices:
    • Benny is voiced by an adult woman, Stacey DePass.
    • Amazing Memory Kid is voiced by Stephany Seki.
    • In the Latin American Spanish dub, AJ is voiced by Sofía Narváez, best known for her role as Peridot from Steven Universe
  • The Danza: "Forces Of Nature" reveals that Dr. Inventorman's first name is Martin, much like his voice actor Martin Roach.
  • Dawson Casting: All the kids are voiced by adults. Even AJ follows this since his voice actor is a young adult.
  • Dueling Works: The show competes against Stan Lees Super Hero Kindergarten, another show about young heroes going to school to better learn to use their powers.
  • Meaningful Release Date: The double length episode "AJ's Extra Superpower", which focuses on AJ's autism, came out April 2, 2021. This is also known as Autism Awareness Day.
  • No Export for You: Aversion: unlike most PBS Kids shows post-Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat which don't air on said channel, this show is actually broadcast on American Forces Network on weekend afternoons.
  • Only So Many Canadian Actors: Like most post-1996 PBS Kids shows, much of the cast is Canadian. For instance, some characters have had actors who played minor roles in Arthur.
  • The Other Darrin: Not on the show itself, but on the show's website. Each blog post has character audio clips voiced by people who are blatantly not the show's regular cast. Listen for yourself.
  • Screwed by the Network: The series gained praise for its' worldbuilding and characters, but it wasn't as popular as other shows from PBS. After Season 1 ended, the show was put on hiatus, and the only updates from its' official social media pages are for giveaways. Since there's no news of a Season 2, it's safe to assume it is cancelled.
  • Series Hiatus: After August 20, 2020, new episodes didn't return until January 4, 2021, over 4 months later.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: The only characters with credited voice actors are Lucita, AJ, Benny, Sara, and Mr. Sparks. Everyone else is credited under "additional voices".
  • What Could Have Been: At one point, AJ Gadgets wasn't autistic, but as his personality was being developed, it was clear that his character had a lot of autistic traits. The writers figured it was better off to incorporate autism into his character rather than him being ambiguously coded as such.
  • Write Who You Know: Christine Ferraro partially based AJ on her brother, who's also autistic and also likes comics.
