- Word of God: TeaWithNyarlathotep provides some information on their Tumblr page, such as:
- Explaining what the story is and isn't about in terms of themes and storytelling, in addition to its influences.
- The months and days of Etheria as presented in the story.
- The resemblance between the story and Arthurian Myth.
- How Perfuma and Imp would refer to other characters in Etherian Sign Language.
- Confirmation that Entrapta is depicted as Autistic in the story.
- What Could Have Been: TeaWithNyarlathotep, in the announcement that the fic was Cut Short, also stated what would have happened had it been finished in the form of an honorary epilogue. Some of this did make it back into the final chapter in November of 2021.
- Catra would have been revealed to be She-Ra and would have abdicated the throne of the Horde rather than be crowned willingly.
- Adora would have gone through a Heel–Face Turn, and shattered her sword like in canon. She would have left to engage in Walking the Earth, with the idea that she might someday return and be with both Bow and Glimmer romantically.
- Hordak would have taken on taken on Angella in personal combat, before revealing he'd initiated a Xanatos Gambit by cutting off the Hegemony's escape route. He would then engage in Faking the Dead, retiring to Dryl with Entrapta. In addition, there would've turned out to be multiple Imps.
- Shadow Weaver would have endured Character Death at Angella's hands after being imprisoned by Hordak and Catra.
- Bow would have helped Glimmer in a plan to fake her own death and ultimately put her on the throne, initiating a Zero-Approval Gambit and spending the rest of his days at her side. He would've turned out not to have murdered Light Hope.
- Glimmer would have become the Empress of the Hegemony, and would've helped rebuild and repair everything in Etheria in addition to paying reparations, before making peace with the Horde and ruling Etheria.
- Sea Hawk would've died in the Fright Zone thanks to Angella.
- Perfuma would've regained her voice and married Scorpia.
- Mermista would've joined Angella and eventually Out-Gambitted her, betraying her, setting the fleet on fire, and delivering a dismissive "Sea Hawk sends his regards."
- Frosta would've been a good ruler and built a new place out of Snows.
- Netossa and Spinnerella would've seceded and welcomed refugees.
- Scorpia would've taken up her birthright as ruler of the Fright Zone, initiating democratic elections, ending the old ways, and becoming the best ruler known in Etheria.
- Angella would've revealed she could in fact wield dark magic thanks to the Spell of Obtainment, summon Prince Keldor, and be killed for her failure, telling Adora to "Create a world where you can... be good to each other."
- Kyle would've turned out to be a Horde spy. He would've saved Lonnie and Rogelio, before reuniting with them.
- Double Trouble would've played a Wild Card role but chosen the side of good in the end.
- Entrapta would've married Hordak and helped Etheria against Keldor's forces.
- Prince Keldor, the Greater-Scope Villain of the existing story, would've arrived, waged war against Etheria with massacres aplenty, and shown Etheria such horrific war that both sides would've found lasting peace afterwards. Adora and Catra would've killed him by standing against him together.
- The Battle of the Fright Zone would've been a lengthy and elaborate Big Badass Battle Sequence which would've contained a huge number of plot developments and battles, including Hordak fighting Angella.
- The Hegemony would've split into two factions.
- Keldor would've arrived, destroyed Plumeria, wiped out Angella's loyalists, and been Defiant to the End against Catra and Adora's combined might.
- Etherian society would've rebuilt and repaired itself, with the Hegemony slowly but surely becoming better, the Horde prospering, and Etheria seeing a better life from there on out.
