Trivia / Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE

Go To

  • Channel Hop: After airing the first three Build series on TV Tokyo, Sunrise moved Re:RISE to Gundam Channel on YouTube. Re:RISE will also be shown on Tokyo MX, with its first episode airing on January 28, 2020.
  • Demand Overload: Because of it being an essential part of the Re:Rising Gundam and part due to Kazami's growing popularity, users on Twitter began reporting that stores in Japan were selling out of the HG Aegis Knight within mere minutes of release back in August. There were also sightings online of scalpers selling the kit at overinflated prices.
  • Follow the Leader: Due to the campaign mode keeping our heroes away from the usual GBN tournaments and other shenanigans, this series marks Gundam's first foray into the growing Isekai genre.
  • One-Steve Limit: Borderline example when Parviz's real name is revealed as Patrick Arge since there's a "Patrick Colasour" frequenting GBN.
  • The Other Darrin: In the English dub, Kira Buckland replaces Cassandra Lee Morris as the voice of Momo.
  • Spoiled by the Merchandise: Given the nature of the series, it's unavoidable for most of the Mobile Suits to be revealed as a model kit weeks, sometimes even months, ahead of their in-series debut. And due to the anime's delay, many of the model kits for season 2 came out before their intended anime debut.
    • This was averted in the case of the Aegis Knight Gunpla kit. While the Gunpla was announced prior to the delay, the Gunpla was held back due to the fact that it contained instructions and parts to convert the Core Gundam II, WoDom Pod, Valkylander EX and Aegis Knight into the ReRising Gundam. By extension, despite being May's initial Gunpla, and her Mobile Doll self being the surprise within, the WoDom Pod did not get a kit until midway Season 2 to prevent fans from discovering its natural compatibility with the Core Gundam early on.
    • Somehow averted with the extra head of the Alus Earthree Gundam that allows the PLANETS System armors to be put on the Alus Core Gundam (due to the differently shaped head being otherwise incompatible with those). Presented as merely a gimmick for extra playability with said kits, nothing in the manual indicated that the feature would appear in the show, when Alus hijacks the Earthree from Hiroto during the final battle.
  • The Red Stapler: An odd situation. This is one of the few Gundam Build series to have Gunpla based off of suits who either do not have updated versions or High Grades at all (The most notable example being the Wodom, with the Wodom Pod getting a figure first.) Somehow holds true with the release of the HGBD:R Justice Knight, teasing an eventual May 2020 release of the HGCE Infinite Justice Gundam (its primary base MS.)
  • Troubled Production: Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic, production and release of the 2nd season (from episode 19 onward) were delayed for about two months.
    • The English dub from Episode 14 onwards was delayed for just barely over a year, with Episode 13 being released on March 21, 2020. The remaining episodes would finally be released on March 23, 2021 - just two days after production and release for the dub came to a halt.
