Trivia / Falling Fred

• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Many of the games were delisted from iOS devices due to not being updated for modern iOS versions and systems. The Android versions can still be downloaded and played, however.
• Orphaned Reference: During the tutorial in Clicker Fred, Grimmy claims that "Fred will collect as many SKULLIES as he can... until DANGER is too much for him!" This line made more sense before the release, where each Fred could get exhausted and die to one of the traps. Freds never get tired in the final release and the only way they can die is during the boss sections, should they not be able to reach the required distance within the time limit. The trailer does a similar thing by showing one of the Freds get tired and unceremoniously killed by Grimmy.
• Real Song Theme Tune: Juan Pablo Cavagnaro wrote Valvular (Ecc83) as far back as 2008, 3 years before it was featured in Falling Fred Z.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: This seems to be the case for Blonde "Gigi" Lala in the iOS version of Falling, where she was recolored and renamed to Emotica Diva. The Android port and all versions of Super Falling have no problem featuring both, however, and this was not the case for any other parody characters, like Martin Castor.
• What Could Have Been:
  • In the Spanish interview with Dedalord it was revealed that Falling Fred was originally called Suicide Sam. The name is here to suggest why he was going to fall. This was found way too dark and depressing and replaced with something more humorous: Fred falls down on accident, rather than intentionally.
  • Running Fred was going to include fourth world: Sektor 51, a sci-fi facility with chemical wastes and futuristic traps. This world was going to include new gimmick: A Jet Pack that would have allowed Fred to fly. A brief gameplay footage of it can be found in the game's official trailer, though not much else is known about it, since it was unreleased. As shown in other early footage, a jetpack had to be refilled by collecting fuel tanks. A differently functioning jetpack would be included with Rocket Fred premium costume, and the one that looks and plays much like the unused jetpack became one of the bonus vehicles in the next game, Skiing Fred. Sektor 51 was eventually announced to be released as a separate game in Fall 2023.
  • Like Running Fred before it, Skiing Fred was also going to have four locations, but only two were released. Iceberg Lake and Slippery Cliffs, which were teased in the screenshots and trailers, never came out.
  • If this video is to go by, Clicker Fred was going to be called Fred Forever and had a stamina bar for each Fred. Fred would die when he runs out of it, respawning when other Freds reach the checkpoint or when all Freds are dead. This concept was also shown in the game's trailer, and Grimmy makes a reference to this mechanic in one of his lines.
