- Completely Different Title: In Quebec, the movie is known as Deux épais en cavale ("Two Idiots on the Run").
- DVD Commentary: The commentary features the director, Ashton Kutcher, and Seann William Scott. After about twenty minutes, Seann says "Do you guys want some beers?" Hilarity Ensues.
- Stillborn Franchise: A sequel titled Seriously Dude, Where's My Car? was planned but was never developed and eventually the idea was scrapped.
- Throw It In!: When Jesse and Chester come across the fence with warning signs on it. Ashton Kutcher ad-libbed "I'm sensing something very Canadian about this place." On the DVD Commentary, Kutcher says "Every good movie needs a Canadian joke."
- Uncredited Role: Brent Spiner requested to be uncredited for his role of Pierre. He has since admitted in an interview that it was "arrogant" of him to do so.
