  • Creator Couple: Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh have been married since 1990.
  • Cut Song: "Kings Of The Western World" was intended for the standard release of Raintown, though the record company suggested they drop it for flow reasons. However it appeared as a CD bonus track along with Riches. Raintown had a lot of outtakes due to the group going for a specific production style and theme throughout the LP. Some, such as "Suffering", "Church" and "Take The Saints Away" were regulars in the group's live set.
  • Follow the Leader : Whatever You Say, Say Nothing is clearly inspired by U2's change of sound for Achtung Baby.
  • He Also Did:
    • Ricky Ross and Dougie Vipond both have media careers in Scotland. Ross hosts Radio Scotland's country music show and Vipond is a sports reporter and host of outdoors-y TV shows.
    • Lorraine McIntosh is also an actor.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes : Whilst including most of the "Oooh Las Vegas" tracks on their deluxe edition, the group did not include the remix of "Disneyworld", with only the original appearing on the Raintown reissue. And whilst there were three versions of "That Brilliant Feeling" released, they only included the first one.
  • Out of Order : The lyric sheet for When The World Knows Your Name lists the tracks in what seems like random order - it is actually roughly the order they were recorded in, which is, with the exception of the last track "Orphans", an entirely different order to the actual album. Though the group did a demo of "Circus Lights" in the Raintown period, the rerecording on When The World Knows Your Name was recorded a few tracks into the sessions, hence its placement.
  • Throw It In! : According to Ricky Ross on a promo tape, none of the group had considered including "Town To Be Blamed" on Raintown until they played back all the songs they were considering and realised it seemed to tie up the theme of the album.
