Trivia / Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection

• Bad Export for You: The Netflix release for Latin America only features close-captioned subtitles, with no option on changing to either to a non-CC version or any other language, not even English.
• Celebrity Voice Actor:
  • The English dub features Once Upon a Time star Jared S. Gilmore as Prince Shalio. The fact that he's a big anime fan according to his social media accounts would explain it.
  • Likewise, Mad Men's Rich Sommer also stars as Shesthaal, although he has done some voice work.
• Lying Creator: During a fan event celebrating Lelouch's birthday in December 2018, one fan asked Jun Fukuyama if he'll be in the Resurrection movie. Fukuyama casually answered that he didn't participate in the recording of the movie. Fastforward during the premiere of the movie, a trailer dropped in which has Fukuyama narrating it along with the appearance of Lelouch himself.
• Missing Trailer Scene: None of the scenes in the teaser trailer released back at the end of 2016 are in the actual movie. In the Anime NYC Code Geass Panel, Ichiro Okiuchi confirmed that the movie's story was rewritten several times and the one in the teaser trailer was eventually scrapped.
• No Dub for You:
  • While not for this film in particular, the trilogy of recap films that precede it were released in a single sub only set by Funimation, claiming the situation was "due to materials availability from our partners in Japan".
  • The same goes with the Latin American Spanish release for Netflix, as by rule with almost their non-exclusive releases, and also by Sunrise's policy on not dubbing anything outside English and few languages.
• The Other Darrin: Due to Kazunari Tanaka's death in 2016, Nobuyuki Hiyama took over as Tamaki for both this and the recap films. English dub wise, Michael Lindsay's retirement from voice acting (and death) resulted in Christopher Bevins taking over the role for the movie. Kanon Maldini is the only other character in the dub affected by this, going from Adam Bobrow to Jalen K. Cassell.
• Recast as a Regular: Elizabeth Maxwell (Shamna), Christopher Sabat (Bitool) and Jeannie Tirado (Shanti) all previously appeared in the dub of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled as Ayano, Smilas and Leila respectively.
• Referenced by...: The movie first appeared in the Super Robot Wars series as a One-Time Event in Super Robot Wars X-Ω, but wouldn't show up in a traditional game until Super Robot Wars 30, which also marked the debut of the 3rd Code Geass Compilation Movie (though the latter is listed as "units-only"). 30 also features the first appearance of the "Gekkouei-Sui," a completed version of Lelouch's Gekkouei with actual legs, that was created by Sunrise at the request of SRW series producer Takanobu Terada.
• Role Reprise: Similar to their dub of Akito the Exiled, Funimation brought back almost all of the original cast members from the dub of the series.
• Word of God: The movie pamphlet confirms that in the last part of the movie, Lelouch and Nunnally were saved by the consciousness of the people who cared for him (e.g. Euphemia and Rolo).
