  • Banned in China: Clash of Clans is banned in Iran, citing "promotion of violence and tribal conflict".
  • Follow the Leader:
    • It dethroned Candy Crush as the most financially successful of the freemium iOS Games and Android Games. As such, it has knockoffs, each varying in originality. To list just a few: Castle Clash (with hero characters!), Samurai Siege (in Feudal Japan!), Dino On Fire/Rise of Dinos (with dinosaurs!), DomiNations (with 4X flavoring!), and Boom Beach (on an island!... and made by the same developer). It’s safe to say clash made a lot of developers realize how profitable Base building games could be on mobile devices.
    • Clash of Clans itself also qualifies as this trope as much of the skeleton parts of the gameplay is based on Kixeye's Backyard Monsters.
  • Urban Legend of Zelda: A strange game crashing village appeared in 2015 by the user "Ang Arkey Rikhi" which apparently only rarely loaded. When the village was viewed, buildings could be seen stacked on top of each other, which is impossible to do in normal gameplay, such as a Cannon superimposed on a Town Hall. It was rumored that the owner of the village was dead, but Supercell apparently determined that he was still alive, and merely quit Clash of Clans many years ago.
  • What Could Have Been: Originally Supercell wants to curb the Queen Walk (Archer Queen combined with 4 Healers) by drastically reducing the Healer stack from 100% to 30% when another Healer heals them. However, due to a significant amount of backlash upon being leaked of such information, this is eventually dropped, instead the battle time is reduced back to 3 minutes from 3 minutes 30 seconds in order to nerf Queen Walking.
