  • Creator Backlash: 4x02 was about Project Cybersyn, which led the discussion towards joking about pigeons as Chilean President Salvador Allende was overthrown by a coup. The Augusto Pinochet regime that ruled Chile for nearly two decades following is still very contentious and many of the comments for the video admonished the joking; Tom wrote that in hindsight he probably should have edited them out.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Sometime after the Julie d'Aubigny episode, most, if not all, of the wild adventures Julie got up to, such as impaling the man who would go on to be her lover/closest friend as their first meeting, burning down a convent to rescue her girlfriend, causing numerous scandals in her time as an Opera star, and other tales, were removed from the page. As such, it means that one of the only ways to experience the original article is by watching four English men horribly butcher the French languagenote .
  • Throw It In!: Due to the show's improvised nature, this happens a lot:
    • Episodes 6x03 and 7x02 both feature an audience heckle that was left in the final product, the former because the panel cracked up at it and the latter because it was the setup to a great punchline.
    • The first half of episode 3x04 was recorded on the camera's built-in mics because Matt forgot to hit record on the professional mics they usually use. When Matt realizes this, the panel has a collective silent reaction of "Are you freaking kidding me?!" before swiftly moving on.
    • In general, there are many cases where the lads talk over each other, stumble over their words, or crack each other up.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The bonus clip for 2x07, The Swarm and the Giant Jam Sandwich, was footage for a would-be episode called "Margery Booth and Squeaky Pops." The episode was ultimately canned because they weren't recording the audio track resulting in nearly intolerable echo.
    • In 4x03, Cello Scrotum and Radium Water, Tom discussed the idea he once had to bring an actual joke prize to the show to present to the winner.
    • In the wake of 7x02, the panel pitched the idea of forming a joke football team to challenge the episode's subjects, Sark FC, with the express purpose of losing. Sark expressed interest in having them over for a friendly game, but the plans fell through.
  • Seasons six and seven were recorded over three days, with four episodes per day. Episodes 1, 2, 5 and 6 of season six were recorded on the first day, episodes 3-4 of both seasons were recorded on the middle day, and episodes 1, 2, 5 and 6 of season seven were recorded on the third day. This recording schedule, while efficient, did lead to some troubles when the footage from the third day had a whole bunch of weird problem like random flickering pixels. This meant that season seven contains two episodes where there are no problems sandwiched between four episodes that had technical difficulties.
