While this online panel show is best known for its funny moments, a few of the times the panelists display either great knowledge of the material, excellent deductive reasoning skills, or just end up impressing each other in general.

General:

  • The much-coveted MYSTERY BISCUITS usually occurs after either this or a funny moment. Or both.
  • As listed under Smart Ball on the main page, the gang each have their areas of expertise that they can, with some prompting, rattle off their fluent knowledge thereof.

Specific episodes:

  • 1x08: Towards the end of the episode, Gary comes out with a pun so good that the others pretty much just declare him the episode's winner.
  • 2x07: Gary gets the topic almost immediately when he reveals he's seen The Swarm (1978) before.
  • 3x05: Mere seconds after Tom introduces the episode, Chris gives a very quick description of the Jimmy Carter rabbit incident, cutting off Gary's joke answer. Tom naturally awards BISCUITS. Doubles as a funny moment.
  • 6x01: Chris once again gets the episode's topic early on. After spending the first few minutes of the show joking about elevating Winston Churchill, Chris reveals he knows who Jack Churchill is with the line "is it that nutter who fought World War II with a claymore?" Tom awards biscuits once again.
  • 6x03: Will Seaward gets a chance to show off his dramatic voice when, at Gary's prompting, he says "release the cobras!"
Chris: Good lord, I'm involuntarily picking my feet up off the floor!
  • 7x04: Matt Parker gets one when he correctly guesses the next topic (The Flip-Flap Railway's loop-de-loop) and then gives an articulate explanation of how precisely they goofed up (in short, you don't want a perfect circle as that will make your riders pull too many G's and get injured), snarking with the gang along the way.
Tom: I've already given you biscuits, but I feel like a round of applause is required for that thing.
Chris: No further biscuits will ever be issued! That wins them all, I think!
  • 8x04: Two related ones:
    • Completely unprompted, Chris and Gary both ask the same question in perfect unison, right down to their inflections. Both the panel and audience are amazed, so Tom naturally awards biscuits.
Chris and Gary: Why would you want that?
    • And later, Gary and Matt both end up Waxing Lyrical to "Bohemian Rhapsody", similarly matching each others' inflection and pace. Tom awards biscuits once again.
