- Approval of God:
- Nick Martineau is decidedly One of Us and completely approves of any shipping art made of Horangi and whoever the fandom desires.
- María Elisa Camargo similarly approves of the massive amount of Self-Fanservice Valeria gets.
- Follow the Leader: The Prisoner Rescue game mode takes after the Hostage mode from Rainbow Six Siege (which in turn takes after the "cs_" hostage rescue mode from Counter-Strike) with teams tasked with retrieving prisoners being held by the other team and carrying them to safety. DMZ in turn is a take on the looting/raiding macrogame of Escape from Tarkov.
- Meaningful Release Date: This game was released close to El Dia de Los Muertos, and sure enough, you see El Dia de Los Muertos decorations during the “Alone” level.
- The Other Darrin: Samuel Roukin takes up the role of Ghost from his predecessor, Jeff Leach due to the latter's Role-Ending Misdemeanor.
- Role Reprise:
- Barry Sloane returns as Captain Price.
- Elliot Knight returns as Gaz.
- Neil Ellice returns as Soap.
- Rya Kihlstedt returns as Laswell.
- Claudia Doumit returns as Farah.
- Stefan Kapičić returns as Nikolai.
- In Season 2, Chad Michael Collins returns as Alex.
- From both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles short, Matthew Yang King returns as Shredder.
- Keeley Hawes steps back into Lara Croft's boots after last voicing her in Tomb Raider: Reloaded, and having portrayed her Legend trilogy counterpart.
- Crispin Freeman returns as Alucard after almost a decade since he last played the character in Ultimate.
- Bruce Campbell reprises his role as Ash Williams, naturally.
- Keith David reprises his role as Spawn from both the 1997 animated series, and his last guest appearance in Mortal Kombat 11.
- What Could Have Been: The Bryson 890 is based on the Mossberg 590M, a variant of the 590 (which itself is already featured in the game as the Bryson 800) that loads from detachable box magazines, as denoted by the M. However, its magazine well, as well as its standard and extended magazine options, are taken from the Molot Vepr-12 self-loading shotgunnote . There is indication in the 890's internal name, mviktor (Molot Vepr), that the weapon was in fact originally supposed to be the Vepr-12, be part of the AK platform and unlocked by levelling up the RPK, but given that would've led to the platform having seven family members, it is likely that the plan was scrapped and weapon was instead retooled as a Mossberg 590 variant. An as-close-as-possible approximation of the Vepr-12, the "KV Broadside" would be added into the game as part of the Season 2 update.
