• Beam Me Up, Scotty!: The wording of the ritual that the actors do every time Blackadder mentions the name of the Scottish Play is often misquoted, with common variations including "Hot potato, off with his drawers, pluck to make amends" and "Hot potatoes off the shore, but we'll make amends". The official wording of the ritual (according to DVD and streaming video releases as well as the published scripts), is: "Hot potato, orchestra stalls, Puck will make amends". That being said, the precise wording would only have been known to Hugh Paddick and Kenneth Connor, who improvised it during filming due to the script not actually detailing the ritual.
• Throw It In!:
  • Hugh Laurie (as George) referred to Blackadder as "Bladder" at the end of the episode. Rowan Atkinson replied that the Prince would reward him by not naming him that way.
  • In the script, Keanrick and Mossop were merely described as doing "a violent and stupid supernatural routine" whenever Blackadder said "Macbeth". Hugh Paddick and Kenneth Connor came up with the actual routine that was used in the episode between them during filming.
