• All-Star Cast: The English version (which was recorded before being dubbed in French) features a familiar group of celebrities and professional voice actors, including (besides the ones mentioned under No Export for You) Sean Astin as Justforkix, John DiMaggio as Timeanahaf, Dee Bradley Baker as Dogmatix, Jeff Bennett as Getafix & the Narrator, Diedrich Bader as Olaf & Unhygienix, Grey Delisle-Griffin as Impedimenta, Corey Burton as Doublehelix, Daran Norris as Vitalstastix, Jess Harnell as Cacofonix, and Greg Proops as Cryptograf.
• Celebrity Voice Actor:
  • In Polish dub Abba is voiced by singer Dorota "Doda" Rabczewska in her voice acting debut.
  • The Brazilian dub has Asterix, Obelix, Justforkix and Abba voiced by members of the comedic radio\TV program Pânico.
• International Coproduction: The film is a French-Danish coproduction, with Danish animators and directors.
• No Export for You: Asterix and the Vikings was never released in the US, despite the English version being recorded in the US with well-known actors (Paul Giamatti as Asterix, Brad Garrett as Obelix, Evan Rachel Wood as Abba, etc).
• The Other Darrin:
  • French voice actor Pierre Tornade voiced Obelix in the four previous films (Asterix Versus Caesar, Asterix in Britain, Asterix and the Big Fight and Asterix Conquers America). He was replaced by Jacques Frantz on this one, before passing away in 2012.
  • Druid Getafix was voiced in French by Henri Labussière in the four aforementioned films from 1985 to 1994. Vania Vilers replaced him here. Labussière passed away in 2008.
  • Chief Vitalstatistix has had no recurring French voice actor between Asterix Versus Caesar and this film. Belgian voice actor Vincent Grass replaced François Chaix here.
  • In Polish dub – rather than using recurring voice actors from earlier animations, Ryszard Nawrocki and Jan Prochyra – Asterix and Obelix are voiced by Mieczysław Morański and Wiktor Zborowski, who dubbed respective characters in Polish version of first two live-action Asterix movies.
