- All-Star Cast:
- The Japanese cast features the likes of Tomoyo Kurosawa, Yuichiro Umehara, Shunsuke Takeuchi, Shun Horie, Megumi Ogata, Subaru Kimura, Takahiro Sakurai, Maaya Uchida, Akio Ōtsuka, and Yumiri Hanamori.
- The English cast features a combination of well-known and then upcoming talents such as Macy Anne Johnson, Jonah Scott, Brittany Lauda, Matt Shipman, Y. Chang, Zeno Robinson, Kellen Goff, Daisy Guevara, Laura Stahl, D.C. Douglas, Jenny Yokobori, Veronica Taylor, Michael Kovach, and SungWon Cho.
- Anime First: The series is an original title.
- Cross-Regional Voice Acting:
- A rather extreme example happens in the Latin American Spanish dub, as the dub features voice actors from Mexico, note United States, note Argentina, Chile, Peru and even Ecuador, being this last country one of the most recent Latin American countries on having a proper voice acting industry in the region starting the 2020s, along with El Salvador and the aforementioned Peru.
- The English dub pulled this off by bringing in actors from Texas, Los Angeles, and New York.
- Enforced Method Acting: In the English dub, for the scene where Doctor steps on Hoodlum's groin, Kellen Goff actually performed a self-inflicted Groin Attack to get the right pained tone of voice.
- He Also Did:
- Character designer and animation director Cindy H. Yamauchi also provided character designs for Divine Gate and animation for AKIRA, Kids on the Slope and The Transformers.
- Taiko Katono, Junior's Japanese voice actor, is most well-known for his role as Chase in Kamen Rider Drive. Junior is his debut role as a voice actor.
- On the English dub side, Boss is voiced by Veronica Taylor, who is widely known as the first English dub voice of Ash Ketchum.
- Playing Against Type:
- Megumi Ogata, known for playing teenage boys and Bifauxnen, provides the Japanese voice of Doctor, a hyper-sexualized Mad Doctor. The staff even noted how radical a departure this role was for Ogata.
- In the English dub, Veronica Taylor plays Boss, who is unlike most of her other roles where she played a cold, villainous, and stoic older woman while she normally plays characters who are perky and Hot-Blooded young females or young boys like Ash Ketchum.
- What Could Have Been:
- Hacker was originally supposed to have been an Enfant Terrible in early versions of the story. The character was aged up to his late teens due to Kazutaka Kodaka deciding a child criminal would've clashed with the setting.
- The Akudama were supposed to have an eighth member known as "Cultist". The character was eventually discarded due to being too difficult to work with.
