Trivia / Akatsuki Blitzkampf

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Since it began as a doujin game, multiple characters share voice actors.
    • Akatsuki, Wei/Dawei and Murakumo (played by "Shoji Hijikata")
    • The Narrator, Sai and Fritz (played by Shion Hibiki)
    • Mycale/Perfecti, Marilyn and Kati (played by "Karumagu")
    • Elektrosoldat and Adler (played by "Kyousuke Amasaki")
  • Colbert Bump: Akatsuki's appearances as a Guest Fighter in Under Night In-Birth as well as his and Blitztank's appearance in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle have gotten quite a few fans into checking his game series out. After Akatsuki and Blitztank were revealed for BBTAG at EVO 2019, the surreal nature of Blitztank, an honest to god tank as a playable character in a fighting game lead to popular fighting game YouTubers like Maximilian Dood checking out Akatsuki Blitzkampf and increasing its exposure.
  • No Export for You: None of the Akatsuki games have ever been officially released outside of Japan. The closest thing to an Akatsuki game coming out in the West were Akatsuki's appearance in Under Night In-Birth and Akatsuki and Blitztank's appearance in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. However, they're readily accessible via the ABK Discord, which includes links to download Akatsuki Shisei Ichigou (also referred to as Akatsuki Prototyp [sic] 1 in some circles) note , the PC release of Akatsuki Blitzkampfnote , a NAOMI ROM of Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf. Achse, and a NESiCAxLIVE ROM of EN-Eins Perfektewelt. Additionally Ausf. Achse is playable online on Fightcade. Unfortunately, EN-Eins Perfektewelt Anastasis is currently not playable outside of Japanese arcades (unless you visit any Round1 location in the US that has the game) and that is not going to change for the time being due to SUBTLE STYLE wanting the game to help revitalize the Japanese arcade scene after the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Schedule Slip: EN-Eins Perfektewelt's Updated Re-release, EN-Eins Perfektewelt Anastasis, had an initial release date of 2022. It ended up getting delayed to 2023 due to problems arising with the game's playtesting location on November 2022 and some developers facing health problems near the end of the year.
  • Sequel Gap: The original prototype version of Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Akatsuki Shisei Ichigou, was released in 2003, and the finished version of the game didn't come out until four years later in 2007. EN-Eins Perfektewelt Anastasis is an even more severe case as it came out in 2023, thirteen years after EN-Eins Perfektewelt was originally released in 2010 and eleven years after the game's NESiCAxLIVE rerelease.
  • Vaporware: In 2019, developer SUBTLE STYLE's blog was updated with early development screenshots of a PC port of Ausf. Achse, with online versus added. Since then there has been little to no news on the state of the project, with Subtle claiming that the port is still in the very early stages of development. This could possibly be because of Subtle's work with French Bread as a sprite artist for hire since Under Night In-Birth in 2012, which could be taking up a lot of his time.
