Year One:
- Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic makes his first appearance.
- Sonic the Hedgehog CD: Sonic goes through crazy timeline shenanigans, and meets Amy.
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Sonic meets Tails.
- Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Sonic meets Knuckles.
- Sonic Mania: Eggman gets ahold of the Phantom Ruby, and the events of Sonic Mania play out. However, the ending is changed: the Phantom Ruby ends up meeting with the Chaos Emeralds. It causes Sonic, his friends, and a large portion of the Mobian population to be transported to Earth. The events of Mania have been erased from their minds. They still remember their homeworld and Earth is not their own, but they must learn to live in the human population.
Year Two:
- Sonic Adventure & Sonic Adventure 2: Master Emerald shatters, the Chaos and Tikal plot plays out, Sonic saves Station Square and is viewed as a hero by the Human population. Shadow the Hedgehog appears, and everyone confuses him for Sonic. The revelation of what went down with GUN and the Space Colony Ark is shown. After going super to stop the Biolizard with Sonic, Shadow falls to the Planet Earth, believed to be dead.
Year Three:
- Sonic Heroes: Rouge discovers Shadow is alive and makes a friend out of E-123 Omega, forming Team Dark. In the end, everyone gathers to face Overlord Metal Sonic and defeat him. Afterward, Team Sonic forms with the following members: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream.
- Shadow the Hedgehog: Two months later, the Black Arms invade, Shadow learns about his true origins, and he officially joins Team Sonic with Rouge. Due to their collaboration during the Black Arms invasion, Team Sonic officially becomes affiliated with GUN.
- Sonic Rush: A couple of months later, the events of Sonic Ruch take place. The Sol Emeralds end up reacting with the Chaos Emeralds, merging the Human world with the Sol Dimension. Blaze joins Team Sonic.
- Sonic Riders: The plot remains the same.
- Sonic Rivals: Silver joins Team Sonic during the events of this game.
Year Four:
- Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Rush Adventure, & Sonic Rivals 2: The plot remains the same, except with Team Sonic instead of solo Sonic.
- Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity: After stopping the black hole, the Babylon Rogues are offered an official spot on Team Sonic, but decline. They choose to continue living their lives as treasure hunters and gear specialists.
- Sonic Unleashed: Team Sonic has to deal with the shattered world crisis.
- Sonic and the Black Knight: The plot remains the same.
Year Five (current):
- Sonic Colors: Team Sonic goes to investigate Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park. In the end, Eggman is thrown into a black hole where he meets the Time Eater.
- Sonic Generations: On Sonic's birthday, the Time Eater kidnaps Sonic's friends', leading to the events of Sonic Generations. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy meet their younger selves before defeating the Time Eater.
- Sonic Lost World: Team Sonic is sent to investigate the Lost Hex, only to meet and defeat the Deadly Six.
During these times, Team Sonic went on smaller missions together, both under GUN and on their own accord. At one point, Eggman is finally defeated, but something happened that caused Team Sonic to split up.
The events of Sonic Chaos Adventure follow promptly afterward.
