     The beginning of Scrooge McDuck

1867

  • Scrooge McDuck is born the only son of Fergus McDuck and Downy O'Drake McDuck. He also has two sisters: Hortense and Matilda.
  • The McDuck family at this point has lost its fortune. In part due to poor business decisions, and in part because the templar treasure was hidden away, and the clan refuses to dig it up for "mooching" descendants.

1877

  • Scrooge begins working as a shoeshiner. Fergus notices his son's lack of luck in finding work, so creates a scenario with Bert the ditch digger, where he muddies his boots and gives him an American dime to give to Scrooge. Working hard to fix those muddy boots, Scrooge becomes inspired by his hard earnings to become tougher than the toughies, smarter than the smarties and sharper than the sharpies and escape the poverty of his youth.
  • However, Scrooge was also inspired by a book he read by one Isabella Finch. With the book detailing her many heroic exploits, Scrooge also is interested in doing more than just earn money. He'd also want to have adventures while he does it.

      • During this time, he's accosted by a local, Goldie O'Gilt, whom he catches, and forces to help him find the legendary Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains.
      • They manage to use the map to get close to the falls, but then Goldie tries to steal the map, it rips, and then they're attacked by the glacial monster of the Klondike (a living woolly mammoth). Escaping it, Goldie loses her half of the map in its teeth, and then the 2 of them are frozen in ice for 5 years.
      • At the end of 5 years hating each other to keep warm while frozen, they finally begin to have affection for each other, when a rockfall beams enough sunlight in to melt Goldie's side of the ice. But hearing the beast, Goldie blows Scrooge a kiss and leaves, forming a rift of respect and bitterness that will last all their lives despite their infrequent meetings.
      • Scrooge in turn eventually escapes himself.
  • The Rockerduck conflict
    • Scrooge arrives in the town of Gumption, sensing an opportunity to harvest gold from the frontier town. Unfortunately, though he does find evidence of gold, Goldie has followed him to Gumption, and so they race each other to the giant gold nugget buried under the town, only for national millionaire John D. Rockerduck to steal it away with the mining rights to the town.
    • Unwilling to give up "his" gold, Scrooge forms an alliance with the sheriff Marshall Cabrera, Goldie and a mysterious inventor who definitely wasn't trapped in the past to steal the nugget back for the town after the inventor mentions how Rockerduck was actually a con-man.
    • Staging a train robbery with stealth and Steampunk, Rockerduck loses the giant nugget, but complications with a makeshift steam suit cause the nugget to explode. Fortunately, the bits of the nugget drift downstream back to Gumption triggering a new gold rush.
      • The inventor disappears, while Scrooge forms a local company to sell panning equipment to miners. Goldie meanwhile retrieves her cut of gold.
      • Scrooge participates in The Great Goldwater battle of Gumption. After which, moves on to new parts for new opportunities.

    • However, when the final business is about to begin, Santa reveals his desire to give away his toys for free, saying that joy warms the heart far better than coal. Outraged, Scrooge breaks ties with St. Nick, saying his plans will "never catch on". However, the first family he gave a toy to reveal themselves to be elves, forming the engine that would allow Santa to travel the world as he always does from then on.
      • Scrooge though would remain embittered towards this perceived betrayal, thinking him untrustworthy, and spreading his anger to others in his family.
  • Scrooge rebuilds his ancestral home Castle McDuck, making his parents liens of the castle. There was a side effect though, thanks to using discount druid stones for the new foundation. It makes his parents and sisters immortal.
  • Scrooge arrives to the city of Duckburg, which is ruled by the ruthless Beagle clan (who even renamed the city "Beagleburg"). Scrooge offers a large sum of money to the clan's leader, Pa Beagle, but the old gangster challenges Scrooge to an armwrestling match: the winner gets both the money and the deed to the city. Pa Beagle attempts to cheat at the match, but Scrooge outsmarts him, becoming Duckburg's new owner.
    • After the Beagle Boys are disappointed in Pa Beagle, his pre-teen daughter Catherine takes over the clan, vowing to take back the deed to the city from Scrooge.

  • Goldie finds a fountain of youth in Wronguay. This significantly lowers her visible age so that in no time, she appears a normal adult despite being well over 100.
  • Somewhere in Europe, the wicked sorceress Magica De Spell and her brother Poe take over a village, forcing the villagers to serve and feed them, and sometimes turning them into animals for their own amusement. When the villagers stop to pay their tributes, the De Spell siblings summon a shadow army. Unfortunately for them, one of the shadows they try to summon belongs to Scrooge McDuck, who puts up a fight against Magica. Scrooge deflects a spell that would have turned him into a raven, which nearly hits Magica but Poe intervenes, resulting in him turning into a raven instead. Poe flies off, and despite Magica's pleas, Scrooge refuses to stop him, taking some of Magica's gold instead. He uses the gold to buy a farm and sell goat milk from the villagers that Magica turned into goats. Magica spends years searching for Poe, but cannot find him.
    • One of the survivors of Magica's terror constructs himself a new identity, the Phantom Blot, and swears revenge against De Spell. He spends years trying to kill the sorceress, not to avail.

1940s?

  • Scrooge goes on an expedition to the summit of Mount Neverrest with explorer George Mallardy in celebration of making his first million dollars. Mallardy though looked down on him despite being his employer. When the two are dangling by a rope over a sheer drop, Mallardy cuts the rope and sends Scrooge falling to his doom. Scrooge survives the fall, but his failure leads to a spun tale and the title "Neverrest Ninny" who failed the explorer in his attempted summit, though nobody knew it was him. As for Mallardy, he gets lost due to a series of wormholes protecting the mountain and eventually dies in a cave, cursing Scrooge's name.

However, the transfer of wealth then gives to him a curse upon that wealthiest individual: The Bombie, a zombie dog which "Cannot be bought, cannot be fought. Though riches you got, your life will be fraught until you have earned the one thing you have not." While frightened at first, Scrooge eventually manages to trap this being on a remote island and imprison it in a money bin with magical defenses.
  • Freelance Spy
    • In the early 60s, Bradford Buzzard, Isabella Finch's grandson, joins the secret organization SHUSH thanks to a favor Director Ludwig von Drake owes Finch. Bradford proposes that the organization, instead of merely stopping master criminals and terrorists, should try and take direct control of the world so that the villains can't act in the first place. Director Ludwig von Drake rejects Bradford's proposal due to sounding too villainous. Bradford, instead, contacts the master criminal Black Heron, who has just been arrested by SHUSH for attempting to carve her face in Mount Neverrest, and offers her to form the Organization for World Larceny (O.W.L.). She agrees, but only if they add "Fiendish" to the name.
    • Some years later, Scrooge joins SHUSH as a freelance operative. After taking down Jack the Tripper and retrieving the crown jewels, he's next called on to help fight Black Heron with one young but diligent Agent 22.
    • While taking a mysterious book page from Heron fails due to Scrooge's unwillingness to chip in with his own money, they follow Heron back to her secret island, facing her robotic guards, and eventually confronting Heron in person.
      • In the struggle, Beakley takes Gummi juice that Heron was working on to escape captivity, destroy the page (after memorizing the formula), and escape the exploding lab. Deciding this made for a decent working relationship, the two decide to work together more in the future. Introducing themselves as Scrooge and Bentina Beakley.

    • Scrooge throws the first-ever company Christmas party at his manor, inviting many friends and business partners as guests. Agent 22 and Bradford Buzzard (along with his "business partners" who are actually his clones) all attend as guests. The guests appeared to have fun, except for Bradford who did not like the frivolous wasteful celebration. Goldie also paid him a visit at the time to pilfer a few candlesticks in the process. The party ended by Pa Beagle (now known as Grandpa Beagle or Grandpappy) and three of his boys (Bugle, Bankjob and Babyface) showing up and raiding the mansion that night.
    • Also at this time, Scrooge from the future came to visit to enjoy the party with the Ghosts of Christmas. Unfortunately, he found the process less fun than he thought, and so the Ghost of Christmas Past moved them farther in the past instead to try a new one.
  • To keep his ever-increasing fortune somewhere, Scrooge orders the construction of a giant building, the Money Bin, on an island in Duckburg's bay. He also sets up a science laboratory and a library in the bottom floor of the Bin, and hires a duck named Emily Quackfaster to be in charge of the archives.

To that end, he creates a new Scottish persona: Flintheart Glomgold.

    • In 1987, as a publicity stunt, Glomgold invites television reporter Webra Walters to accompany him on a treasure-hunting expedition to take a giant gemstone from a shark-infested cave. Unfortunately for him, Scrooge shows up looking for the same treasure. Glomgold accidentally triggers the traps in the cave, nearly drowning Walters, whom Scrooge rescues on his way out, leaving Glomgold behind. Glomgold gets stranded in the cave for weeks with the sharks as his only company, who take him in as one of their own.

    • Another young boy named Drake Mallard also becomes a big fan of the show, inspiring him to keep rising to challenges.
    • Unfortunately, the show would be cancelled just before resolving a twist finale with another Darkwing. The show was cancelled due to Starling's prima donna behavior having finally become too much for the network to endure. Starling remains embittered by the show's cancellation and fights hard to keep the show alive, but as time goes on and the show fades from pop culture to become a cult classic, he is often reduced to doing autograph signings at small events like mattress store openings.
  • September 8th, 1991, A rooster named Steelbeak hatches.
  • One Halloween night, Launchpad goes out for a tricycle ride, but he crashes with it at the Hazel House, Duckburg's infamous haunted house. He finds a chocolate wrapper, but he doesn't understands the words on it, so he assumes it's a magical scroll. Unfortunately, nobody told him about Halloween, so he believes that the trick-or-treaters are actually demons he summoned with the scroll. Since then, on every Halloween he locks himself up in his house hoping that the demons will eventually go away.
  • 20 years before present day, in the Japanese city Tokyolk, a young and idealistic American scientist named Gyro Gearloose works as an intern under the world's greatest robotics expert, Dr. Akita. Together, they build a robot child they name 2BO, wanting to make him the protector of the city. But, unbeknowst to Gyro, Akita reprograms 2BO to be a powerful and destructive robot soldier for himself. 2BO goes on a rampage, until a policewoman named Detective Tezuka manages to stop and neutralize him. Dr. Akita goes into hiding in an underground lair, whereas Gyro manages to clear himself from the charges but is forced to leave Japan. He move to Duckburg, where he gets hired by Scrooge McDuck.
  • 15 years before meeting his grandnephews, Scrooge McDuck faces off against his most powerful enemy: Magica De Spell on Mt. Vesuvius. Their clash was epic, and ruthless, ending in Scrooge trapping Magica in his #1 dime after reflecting that spell which Magica wanted to cast on him. He leaves self satisfied, but too early. For in her last moments, Magica brings her shadow to life as a teenage duck while retaining some consciousness in that duck's shadow. Eventually, this "niece" of hers will be called Lena.
  • A young African grey parrot named Markus Beaks grows up under his coach father, and his critic mother Emma Glamour. Unfortunately, both his parents don't think too highly of him, giving "Mark" an incentive to get as much attention and fame as possible when he grows up. And with his own cleverness, he begins to learn technical skills to accomplish this.
  • A talented young student named Gandra Dee creates a destructive ray for a school science fair. Unfortunately, the science teacher disqualifies her from the competition because her invention is too dangerous. Instead, the first prize goes to a girl named Tammy Jenkins for her baking soda volcano.
    • Some years later, Gandra tries to search for an employer that is willing to finance her experiments. She gets rejected due to her ideas being too dangerous, but Bradford Buzzard sees potential in her and recruits her to build weapons for F.O.W.L.

Scrooge's Adventures with Donald and Della

The first Adventure

  • Sometime in the 1990s, Donald and Della place a firecracker under Quackmore Duck's chair. Hortense asks Scrooge to take care of the twins while she takes her husband to the hospital.
    • On the same day, Agent 22, now the Director of S.H.U.S.H., informs Scrooge that the Papyrus of Binding has been located on Phantom Island in the Bermuda Trapezoid. Della convinces Scrooge to take her and her brother on the adventure (though Scrooge insists on calling it a "business trip").
    • Unfortunately, Bradford Buzzard also learns about the Papyrus. He and Black Heron race the Duck family for the Papyrus. When the situation turns dire, Bradford uses the Papyrus to erase himself from the memory of Scrooge and his family.
      • Realizing he needs to protect the papyrus, Scrooge casts a spell that the papyrus would only be found by "the true heir of Clan McDuck". Heron escapes following the loss.
    • Shortly after this adventure, Bradford quits SHUSH and seeks a job at McDuck Enterprises. He gets excellent recommendations from Director 22. Bradford and his clones become Scrooge's new Board of Directors, supervising his finances.
    • Bradford also starts to work on carefully wording a contract that ensures that Scrooge will never go adventuring again. His plan is that, once the Papyrus of Binding is found again, he'll attach it to the contract, making it magically binding.
  • After Hortense and Quackmore's death, Scrooge McDuck is given custody of Della and Donald Duck, taking the role of the caretaking uncle for the fraternal twins.

Adventures

  • Part of why Scrooge hired Bradford was because he wanted to go on some genuine adventures with his family again. And after the experience with the papyrus, Scrooge, Donald and Della form a formidable group, gaining reputations as daring, capable and brave heroes throughout the world.
    • On one such trip, they discover Ithaquack, where Della and Donald make friends of Selene and Storkules of the gods. Unfortunately, Scrooge also manages to outplay Zeus in all contests on the island, ruining his reputation, and causing lifelong enmity between the two.
    • Scrooge also takes the time to introduce them to their grandparents at Castle McDuck, where Della would play a joke on Donald by creating a secret challenge so he'd have to find his blue hat in the catacombs.
    • Then there was the time the 3 of them came upon none other than El Dorado when the kids were about 11. There they discovered the Gilded Man statue, which had turned on its people due to a malfunction. Della, using her small size, crawled inside the golem and tore its gears apart. And while this did stop it, there were rumors that it could return one day to have its vengeance on the destroyer. To be sure to keep this from happening, Scrooge and the others keep it as a trophy in their garage.
    • In the twin's adult years, the adventuring trio get into a battle with a band of pirates led by Captain Peghook. During the fight they get an unexpected visit from Mrs. Beakleynote , who helps them defeat the pirates. Captain Peghook swears that his ghost will not pass on until he gets Scrooge's head.

Domestic Activities

  • Della did many things in her youth, writing them down in her journal. While she accomplished many things before ever hitting her teenage years, one thing she couldn't solve was the mystery of the Golden Armory of her ancestor (on Quackmore's side) Cornelius Coot.
  • A Christmas to remember
    • One Christmas in their teenage years, Donald is playing the guitar some, when a stranger claiming to be his distant relative Bluey comes up to him looking for Della. She's out camping in the woods behind the mansion, but when they go to look for her, they find a strange trail and signs of unusual activity from her. As if she was planning for someone else, but something else was after her.
    • The two then run into a Wendigo, and accidentally get caught by Della's net trap. After realizing why Della is so mad at him for leaving her alone on Christmas Eve, the three then take on the Wendigo together and defeat him.
      • Donald swears to always celebrate Christmas with his family from then on, and the twins quickly figure out that "Bluey" is actually from the future. The boy (Della's future son Dewey) tries to warn them about a grim future, but the others insist not to know so as not to accidentally cause a bad future. After the two head inside, Dewey is saved from the recovering Wendigo by his version of Scrooge. Discovering it was actually the Ghost of Christmas Past gone obsessed to find Scrooge, Dewey, Scrooge and the other Ghosts return to years in the future.
      • Della and Donald give each other Christmas gifts: A blue scarf and a Christmas sweater. They're too big for them right now, but they resolve to wear them until they grow into them (which they do).
  • Growing up, Della becomes obsessed with learning to fly, thus becoming a trained pilot. Donald, meanwhile, comes to appreciate the water, and becomes a certified sailor.
    • Della also becomes a Junior Woodchuck, completing certifications time after time in robotics, standard regulations, welding, survival skills and all the other standard parts of the organization. Donald also joins the organization, but his bad luck and his negative attitude towards nature get him kicked out.
    • Kit Cloudkicker and Molly Cunningham both went to the same flying school as Della did. Molly was an excellent student, whereas Kit struggled with learning to fly a plane. Nevertheless, Kit inherited Higher-for-Hire from Baloo after his retirement, whereas Molly went her own way, becoming a flying stuntswoman under the alias Danger Woman.
  • Donald takes up music briefly in college, joining a band with one Panchito Pistoles and Jose Carioca. They were The Three Caballeros.
  • The two also get to know their cousins on their father's side.
    • One is Gladstone Gander, an extremely lucky cousin who keeps finding 20 dollars on the street and isn't particularly modest about it.
    • The other is Fethry Duck, an unlucky and absentminded duck who nonetheless is a dedicated Junior Woodchuck with a friendly demeanor.

The Spear of Selene

  • Unfortunately, after years of traveling the world looking for treasure, the Duck/McDuck clan hit a snag: they'd run out of obvious places to go see. So, Della thought of a new idea: build a rocket ship, and begin exploring space.
  • There was a new development in their family life though. Della had recently laid 3 eggs, and was expecting children soon. She intended to name them Jet, Turbo and Rebel in order of who hatched first.
    • During this time, Donald once juggled the eggs for his friends, and accidentally dropped one. After this, Panchito and Jose go off to make new careers of themselves as travelers and musicians.
    • Donald doesn't think that this is a good time to go gallivanting about in space until the kids hatch. Della disagrees. Scrooge, crafty as always, decides to compromise: he built a rocket dubbed The Spear of Selene based off of Della's design. He plans on making it a surprise present for Della as soon as his grandnephews hatched.
    • But then, disaster! Bradford leaks information about the Spear to Della, who takes it for a test ride. Running into a cosmic storm just out of orbit, Scrooge tries to get Della to abort, but her hubris pushes her to keep going. Scrooge, trying to make the best of things, tries to guide her through the storm, but the rocket malfunctions, and Scrooge loses contact with Della.
      • Furious at Scrooge keeping this secret and losing his sister, Donald angrily breaks off contact with Scrooge, taking the eggs with him, and refusing any more support from him.
      • Della meanwhile crashes on the moon, surviving thanks to a supply of emergency Oxy-Chew to keep breathing. However, her left leg is pinned in the crash, and after some frustration, escapes the debris, but is forced to amputate her leg at the knee. To survive physically, she builds a mechanical leg out of rocket parts, and resolves to return home come hell or high water.

     The 10 years of separation

One Month After Crash

  • Della's 3 eggs hatch at last. Rather than use the names she chose, Donald names the 3 boys Hubert, Dewford and Llewellyn. However, since these names are a mouthful, they get the nicknames of Huey, Dewey and Louie.
    • Recognizing the danger his temper could pose to his boys, Donald begins seeing Jones the therapist to better manage his anger to be protective rather than abusive.

Two Months After Crash

  • Della begins sending transmissions to Earth with her semi-functioning communications, though not a single one would reach Earth. She then tries leaping back to Earth, but the moon gravity keeps her grounded.

One year After Crash

  • Scrooge begins sending fleets of ships into space to search for the Spear. Of course, due to the expensive fuel of gold along with training and building the rockets, this causes great financial strain on the company. Taking personal responsibility for this, Scrooge begins using the treasure from the money bin to pay for these expenses, slowly depleting his earnings to find his niece.
    • One such ship briefly passes by Della's position on the moon, but due to a dust storm she was creating fighting the moon mite, they write off the space as "no visible sign of life" to Della's despair.

9 years, 11 months After Crash

  • Bradford and the board put their foot down at last, ending Scrooge's search, physically dragging him away from his radio station.
    • Distraught and angry, Scrooge rips his last photo of Della and the spear to pieces, but unable to just fully destroy the last ever picture of his niece, he sends the bits to the archives to be locked away along with all other memories of Della in a secret room activated by blood and puzzle security.
  • About this time, Della FINALLY realizes that there's no gold on the surface of the moon, but discovers that she has a gold filling in one of her teeth (which she concludes was Scrooge planning ahead and using her childhood dentist appointments to give her an emergency supply). However, before she can take off, the moon mite attacks again, and in her rage, she chases after it.
    • Following it underground, Della runs into General Lunaris and Lieutenant Penumbra. On finally seeing that the mite was just trying to feed and comfort its baby, Della gives up her piece of gold to the mites, who then leave in peace.
      • While distraught at losing her last chance to get home, Lunaris provides a new opportunity upon showing that the moon people could provide her with new gold to fix her rocket. Happy to have another chance, Della accepts, though secretly, Lunaris has other plans for Della's work. And Penumbra isn't happy about this arrangement at all.

    • As part of his way to make Scrooge's plane his own, Launchpad renames the Cloud Slayer as The Sun Chaser.
  • A young hummingbird named Violet Saberwing becomes a Junior Woodchuck. She was eager, rational, and pragmatic in her understanding the world, but unfortunately, she failed to graduate to the rank of Senior Woodchuck. Which of course earned her a Failure badge, but she tried two further times. Eventually, she made a decision that with these repeated failures, she was going to be the most active woodchuck ever, committing herself to the "real" meat of woodchucking in earning and learning the badges to their fullest.
  • Flintheart Glomgold constructs a rollercoaster that Dewey Duck wants to ride. Unfortunately, the rollercoaster breaks down before Dewey gets to ride it, with a young pig-boy named Timmy Jenkins getting trapped on it. Timmy gets a lot of attention from the media, making Dewey jealous.
  • F.O.W.L. hired Kit Cloudkicker to deliver a magical artifact, the Stone of What Was, to them. On his mission, Kit got attacked by Don Karnage and his air pirates. As Kit tried to out-maneuver the pirates, the stone fell out of its box, fusing the animals Kit was delivering into a hybrid monster. The monster and the stone fell out of the plane, onto a tropical island, where it continued to mutate the island's fauna.
  • Duckworth dies of unknown causes (implied to be F.O.W.L.'s doing).
  • Fethry Duck becomes a marine scientist and moves into the McDuck sub-lab.
  • Molly Cunningham becomes an air stuntswoman and founds Danger Woman's Death-Defying Air Circus, named after the superheroine from her favorite radio program.

     Season 1

A reunion long overdue

  • On the day Donald goes for an interview, the boys try to drive his boat to Cape Suzette. Catching on though, Donald decides he has no choice but to ask his uncle Scrooge to watch his grandnephews while he interviews.
  • Scrooge for his part is miserably bored. Barely making new money, and thoroughly uninterested in the nitty-gritty of increasing profits for McDuck Enterprises. However, on seeing Donald again, the two get into a shouting match, and reveal their family connection for the first time to the boys.
  • Scrooge's first interactions are... problematic, with Scrooge snapping at the boys and locking them in a spare room with marbles. The three escape, but are then promptly captured by Webby. Once the boys reveal that they're Scrooge's grandnephews, an ecstatic Webby releases and befriends them.
    • Exploring the mansion together, they discover evidence of Donald working with Scrooge adventuring, causing skepticism for the boys, and starting a chain of events. This would end in the garage's roof getting wrecked, the money bin getting damaged, unleashing four magical evils, and almost getting Scrooge killed twice. But at the same time, it reinvigorates Scrooge's sense of adrenaline, and he decides to take all four of them with him on a trip to Atlantis to discover treasure there.
      • Meanwhile, Donald is hired by Scrooge's sworn enemy Flintheart Glomgold and they set off after the same treasure.
  • In the race to get treasure from Atlantis, Scrooge, Dewey and Donald are almost drowned in the process due to booby traps, but they pick out the real jewel of Atlantis, and then escape with it when Glomgold destroys the city in spite against Scrooge.
    • Returning, Scrooge announces himself as back with his jewel as a new energy source for the city.
      • Glomgold's jewel is also revealed as cursed, and he's dragged out to sea until he lets it go.
      • Webby gets permission to hang out with Scrooge as long as she doesn't lie about it.
      • After the houseboat accidentally blows up, Scrooge takes Donald and the boys in until they can fix it.

Hijinks adjusting to the new life

  • Taking Webby out to Funso's for the first time, her zeal creates problems for the boys, but all that is thrown into chaos when they're captured by the Beagles and Ma. With Webby's skills, they escape, and with Beakley and Donald's help, defeat them all.
  • Scrooge and the kids climb Mt. Neverrest on Christmas. They reach one of the secondary peaks, but due to the wormholes on the mountain, they never reach the summit. Though Huey's map does eventually make it to the top.
  • Visiting Macau on route to a golden cricket, Scrooge, the kids and Donald rescue Gladstone from a luck vampire named Liu Hai. They accomplish this by tricking him into imprisoning Donald, only for Donald's bad luck to send him away.
    • Meanwhile, Launchpad helps an old girlfriend.
    • The cricket sadly is disappointing and not as wonderful as they thought.
  • A new billionaire rises to prominence in Duckburg: Mark Beaks. Making his fortune in technical advances, he hires Huey and Dewey as interns for a bit, though they're eventually fired due to finding out his chief product is a scam.
    • Mark makes his fortune not just in the scam, but with new smartphones, websites, and various other technical offerings along with a great social media presence.
  • The family come across the tomb of Toth-Ra, where they encounter Toth-Ra's people. Unhappy with their poor living conditions, Scrooge rallies them in a rebellion against the pharaoh, but only because Launchpad introduced them to burritos.
    • Webby and Louie get separated from the rest of the group and end up in the pharaoh's chamber, where they find out that the mummy of Toth-Ra was a scam conducted by Sabaf, the descendant of one of the pharaoh's guards.
    • The rebellion storms into the chamber and seizes Sabaf, under Louie's orders. However, Louie accidentally brings Toth-Ra back to life for real and the mummy goes on a rampage. Using both sunlight and Launchpad's guidance on how to fold burritos, the rebels successfully roll up Toth-Ra and push him back to the sigil, bringing him back to the realm of the dead.
  • Playing in the annual billionaire golf contest, Scrooge and his family end up at the druid's course. However, with Dewey's own enthusiasm for the game, he begins to overshadow Scrooge and Glomgold due to his wild play getting him extremely lucky in the process. Though jealous at first of Dewey's natural talent, Scrooge finally relents and they win the Druid's cup together.
  • On Scrooge's birthday, Huey breaks tradition and celebrates it. Unfortunately, poor planning leads to them accidentally only inviting the villains. Thankfully, a trick gone wrong summons Duckworth back to the land of the living, driving them off and giving Duckworth incentive to stay at the manor again.
  • After several years apart, Goldie O'Gilt visits Duckburg again, playing a scheme against Scrooge and Glomgold to finally recover the Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains.
    • Working with Glomgold initially, she convinces Scrooge to go with her together to finally find the lagoon, with the 2 of them trying to talk out their differences on the way. Then when Glomgold tries to kill Scrooge, Goldie protects him, but falls into molten gold in the process.
      • Of course, due to the Eye of Demigorgana, she was not killed, and after bringing in an oil tanker to pump the gold out, makes off with everything under both their noses.
  • Dewey proposes an "only child day" for all his brothers to pretend to be only children. They get in misadventures with different things, eventually reuniting at Doofus Drake's mansion, driving everything off, but making Doofus a permanent enemy of their family.
  • Webby joins Scrooge to rescue Beakley from a returning Black Heron, tracking them to Heron's secret island. Though Webby is captured as well, she gets free and with the aid of the Gummi juice defeats Black Heron. Scrooge, Webby and Beakley all manage to escape and take some of the bounce juice with them.
  • Leaving an Andean treasure success, the Sunchaser is attacked by Don Karnage the sky pirate and his ship The Iron Vulture. Dewey sneaks aboard their ship to retrieve a hat he got on the adventure, but ends up leading the crew in a revolt.
    • Don Karnage joins the rest of the Duck family to get back to his ship, and after some scuffles and Karnage retaking the ship, the Sunchaser escapes with a hat full of treasure, and causing The Iron Vulture to crash. Karnage swears vengeance.

The Rise of Gizmoduck

  • After Louie creates a mess at the Money Bin (no thanks to mistreating Lil' Bulb, who builds a giant body and goes on a rampage), Gyro comes up with an idea to "become robot". As project Blatherskite.
  • Working with his interns Manny (the headless man-horse freed by the triplets on their first day) and one Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, Project Blatherskite is nearing completion when they get news of Mark Beaks creating a valet robot BUDDY (Beaks Unmanned Driver Drone. Yay!). Threatened by its proficiency, Launchpad challenges it to a race. Unfortunately, his own fears of losing get the better of him, causing him to overthink his driving and lose.
    • Unfortunately, it's then revealed that Mark actually "stole" the Bulb tech for his driver, and Fenton was to blame due to posting the designs online to try and figure out a solution to the morality circuits. Fenton is fired on the spot, but BUDDY then goes evil, needing Launchpad and Fenton to save them.
    • Launchpad crashes the rogue BUDDY drone off a cliff after an epic chase, while Fenton dons the prototype armor and rescues the billionaires and Gyro. Asked who he is, Fenton declares himself Gizmoduck.
  • Fenton, given the responsibility to better test the new armor, accidentally is caught up in a fight with the Beagle Boys at a bank. Unfortunately, as the system still has bugs, he chases them off, but accidentally sets much of the Bank on fire. Though a Destructive Savior at best, this still impresses Huey, who was there at the time.
    • Doing some self-testing of the Gizmosuit, he accidentally launches a missile at Mark Beaks's helicopter, saving him and getting an offer to work for Waddle. While refusing at first, Gyro's attempt at shutting down the project drives him over.
      • He becomes Waddleduck, a service duck for Duckburg, but not all are happy about his services seeing either as a sellout, or ineffective against actual crime.
    • Mark steals the Gizmoduck suit, but his inexperience with it causes a core meltdown, to which Fenton takes the armor back. With an emergency rewiring by Huey, Fenton flies the exploding core away from civilians, though is caught in the blast.
      • Recovering in a suite, Scrooge decides he did good enough that he wants to test a new model with brain interfacing on Fenton, making him an official employee and the true hero of Duckburg: Gizmoduck!

Lena's attempts at Deception

  • Left alone on a beach due to the triplets going on a canoeing trip, Webby finds a young teen duck named Lena playing with messages in a bottle. Impressed by her demeanor, they crash Ma Beagle's birthday party, leading to a chase across town. While captured after a while along with the boys, they trick the beagles into attacking each other, and escape.
    • Little does anyone know that Lena is in fact a spy. As after establishing a bond, she revives Magica Despell's consciousness in her shadow, saying "I'm in."
  • After a scary movie, the kids, Beakley and Launchpad have adventures in the subway system. After a crash and a discussion of facing the unknown, they discover some small Terra-Firmians as a reward for their journey. Lena also saves Beakley's life, allowing her to visit the manor whenever she wants.
  • After stealing from the giant of Jack and the Beanstalk, Lena plans a magical ruby in the money bin, which grows into a money shark to find the #1 dime. Unfortunately, the boys are at the bin then, and the shark starts eating them.
    • The shark escapes the bin once Magica learns how the dime is on Scrooge, and in the ensuing fight, Lena makes a decision to destroy the shark to save Webby rather than allow Magica to reach the dime.
      • Scrooge loses a sizable portion of his bin money due to this, but recovers his dime.
      • Magica begins to exert more control over Lena and telling her they aren't done until she says so.
  • During another sleepover, Lena almost steals the dime from Scrooge in his sleep, but just misses due to Webby coming up and getting confused about what was going on. When Magica overhears how it's in The Other Bin for safekeeping until they figure out who did this, Lena tricks Webby to find the other bin.
    • In the bin, Lena experiences a nightmare thanks to a mystical dream catcher, and swears off her aunt's work for good seeing the consequences. Unfortunately, before she can reveal her origin, Magica takes full control of her body.
    • Meanwhile, Louie manages to get a sasquatch who was only pretending to be a beast out of the mansion.

The Search for Truth

  • Seeing his mother's picture adventuring with Scrooge, Dewey seeks out Webby's help to learn more about Della. Since all they know is that she vanished, they start at the archives. While stonewalled by Quackfaster at first, she eventually helps them gain some patience, and find Della's secret room. There, they find Della's note to Scrooge about taking the Spear of Selene, but since they didn't know what that was, they keep this secret from the others since they don't know what it implies.
  • Tricking the others to crash on Ithaquack again, Dewey and Webby make their way to the inner chamber, but Dewey becomes distraught in the process that his mother might've been a thief of no morals if she did take a goddess's spear. Fortunately, on finally meeting with Selene, she reveals she never had a spear. But she does use her sphere to show them that Della was a woman full of love who enjoyed life and tried to make others better as she went. So Selene gives Dewey her sphere for comfort, and an encouragement to keep looking.
    • Meanwhile, Scrooge, Donald, Huey and Louie get into a competition with Zeus, who's still sore about being stood up. Storkules meanwhile just enjoys the friendly competition.
      • Donald for his part wants nothing to do with it since in adventuring, "Someone always gets hurt."
      • However, when Storkules is taken control of by a siren, Donald steps up to keep anyone from getting hurt. Then with Louie's quick thinking, they manage to get Storcules free, and the family all escapes.
  • Taking a trip to Castle McDuck, Webby is paralyzed with joy, but Dewey along with his brothers follow his mom's clues to find Donald's hat and one of her other scarves. Forced into a corner by the Hound of the castle, Dewey reveals his search to his brothers. While furious and distraught at first, the 3 eventually reconcile, and discover an illustration of the Spear of Selene, giving them a route forward.
    • Meanwhile, Scrooge and his father argue about their own worth with each other, until after nearly being disowned by Scrooge, Fergus reveals how he gave Scrooge his #1 dime. Humbled and grateful, the 2 never find the treasure, but with this new perspective, Scrooge leaves his parents on much better terms.
  • Scrooge sets out with the kids, Beakley and Launchpad to find the Maltese Falcon in his plane "The Sunchaser". Unfortunately, due to his own inexperience at flying, they end up stuck on a mountain peak precariously perched just as the kids are about to discover the truth of the Spear of Selene.
    • Following a long and frustrating day, Dewey confronts Scrooge directly about the spear, and Scrooge tells them just about everything leading up to Della's disappearance. Saddened and then angry, the boys lash out at Scrooge, thinking him responsible for them losing their mom. Their arguing following this leads to the plane falling down, but landing mostly intact.
    • Returning to the manor, Donald reveals that their boat is finally finished, but on hearing how they found out about the Spear, the boys insist to Donald to take them away from the house.
    • Beakley and Webby, also caught in the crossfire, also leave for vacation away to cool their tempers, as does Duckworth, leaving Scrooge alone in the manor.
      • Opening his brooding room, Scrooge sits down, despondent on being unable to tell his family how much money and time he actually spent sacrificing to find Della before being forced to stop. He then angrily decides he's happy that his family has left.

Magica's Return

  • One week after the Sunchaser incident, the boys are still bitter against their great-uncle, discarding the trophies they gathered in their adventures, and prompting Donald to propose moving them to Cape Suzette to get some distance.
    • Webby and Launchpad though have decided to move on, and thus create a dinner to hopefully reunite the family. Mrs. Beakley, who has also decided to move on, finds out about their plan and offers to help out.
  • Reaching the mansion, Magica pretends to be Lena, and gets close to Scrooge. Flummoxed by his lack of fire after his family left him, Magica toughens him up enough to feel self satisfied enough to grab hold of his dime just as the lunar eclipse begins. With this bringing her powers toward maximum strength, Magica's consciousness enters the dime, allowing her body to escape the dime once again, then transforming Lena's amulet into her magic staff.
    • While Magica is building her powers slightly, Lena and Scrooge talk. After hearing from Lena how much she wishes she had the love Scrooge truly shared with his family, Scrooge promises to bring Lena alongside if she helps. However, following this, Magica "reabsorbs" Lena back into herself, and imprisons Scrooge in his own dime.
  • Meanwhile, with a bit of context and coaxing from Mrs. Beakley, Donald realizes that they still need Scrooge, and with some prodding, the boys eventually agree. Of course, at that moment, Magica explodes from the mansion, beginning phase 3 of her revenge plan.
  • Traveling over Duckburg, Magica steals the shadows of every citizen in the city, bashes the money bin open, and creates a throne of gold to see her revenge over.
    • Fenton's shadow steals the Gizmoduck Armor.
    • In the theft, the underwater lab is flooded. Thankfully, Manny, Gyro and Lil' Bulb escape and meet up with everyone.
  • Donald gets his vocal chords fixed with Gyro's "Barksian Modulator" and forms a 4 pronged plan: while He, Beakley, Launchpad and the scientists attack the bin from air, sea and land, he tries to keep the kids safe so they could then sneak into the bin via the flooded lab.
    • During their search, the 4 ducklings discover the truth of Lena's origin, and how Magica plans to keep Scrooge imprisoned.
  • In the land assault, Gyro is incapacitated, but thankfully Fenton arrives on foot to help, turning Lil' Bulb to a beam splitter for his ray gun to fight the shadows.
    • The plane is meanwhile caught, unable to reach Magica.
    • On sea, Donald sneaks in, but unfortunately Beakley is unable to protect the boat and it sinks. Again.
  • Finally reaching Magica herself, the children attack with distractions and force. When Webby and Dewey are cornered, Webby's love of Lena allows Lena to escape Magica, holding her off until she's seemingly vaporized. Enraged, Webby causes Magica to lose the dime, and when she blasts Dewey holding it, it breaks her spell, allowing Scrooge to escape.
    • Making quick work of her, Scrooge disarms Magica. Donald then cracks the staff on his head, releasing its power and the shadows, leaving Magica powerless, and forced to flee after Launchpad lands on her with his body.
  • Webby reattaches the friendship bracelet Lena made for her, and in doing so, allows Lena to link with Webby's shadow from the shadow realm. She will follow her around unseen for weeks to come.
    • Following the battle, Webby figures that Lena might've been sent back to the Shadow Realm after being vaporized, and begins research on how to get her back.
  • Finally reconciling, the Duck family goes for a late night swim in the gold...together.
    • Della sees the news of their triumph, and having finally seen her boys grown, resolves to finish the Spear ASAP.

Unintended Consequences

  • Glomgold's shadow is stolen away. In the process, he nearly drowns, and as a result, when saved, has no idea about who Glomgold is.
  • Violet is chased by assorted shadows along the beach. When Magica is finally defeated, her staff flies all the way to Violet's feet, reverting back to its basic amulet form.
    • Needing something to rationalize this trauma, Violet takes the amulet and begins a study of magic to better understand it and thus know how to deal with it.

     Season 2

Louie Inc.

  • A few months after the Shadow War, Louie grows tired of his family's adventures, due to a feeling that he is not good enough and only weighing them down. He tries to stall yet another one by convincing his great-uncle to do game night.
  • After an eventful game night involving Gyro's shrink ray and a miniature civilization termed the "Gyropuddlians, Scrooge gives Louie an inspiration to start thinking about doing his own thing in becoming a bigger billionaire on his own. And so, he begins working his own personal company idea: Louie Inc.
  • Louie tries fundraising for his company, but still isn't sure where to start. Inspired by Storkules coming to visit due to Zeus exiling him with harpies, he founds the Harp-B-Gone wing of the company to get people to pay to remove the harpies.
    • Unfortunately, he overextends and ends up blowing the profits on merchandise just as they finish rounding them all up. In the ensuing kerfuffle when Louie accidentally releases them again, they stop the harpies and find out they like lemons above all else. And with this, Scrooge uses them as new lemonade transporters.
  • When Louie decides to give up on Louie Inc. after being hit with a minor obstacle in working to patent a car bed, Scrooge recounts the tale of his Old West time to get him back on his feet. Unfortunately, Louie takes the wrong lesson from this, and instead contacts Goldie to learn more on how she operates.
  • Louie brings Goldie to the mansion to learn about "shifty" operating. Though played at first, Goldie agrees to help him if they can then steal from Doofus Drake. For this purpose, they enter Doofus's exclusive birthday party, pretending to be aunt and nephew.
    • Working against other villains, the double-crosses eventually end with Goldie making off with over 400 million if gifts from Doofus's "Gummeemama".
    • Shortly before Doofus's birthday, Mark Beaks rummages through a pile of discarded mechanical parts, and stumbles upon the de-activated 2BO. Re-activating him, he dubs him Beaks's Optimistic Young Droid, or B.O.Y.D. for short. Upon learning about Doofus's exclusive party, Beaks pretends that B.O.Y.D. is his son and enters the party, but Louie figures out that B.O.Y.D. is actually a robot. Unfortunately, this makes B.O.Y.D. go on a rampage until Louie manages to stop him. At the end of the day, Louie gives B.O.Y.D. to Doofus's parents for adoption, who then gives the parents the courage to ground Doofus for his sadistic behavior.

The Grand Wager

  • Following Glomgold's disappearance, one Zan Owlson, graduate of Mouseton University takes over running Glomgold Industries, partnering with Scrooge for new charitable causes.
  • Webby and Louie discover Glomgold in his amnesiac state, back to his original personality of Duke Baloney.
    • After some investigation, Scrooge recommends they leave Glomgold like this as he's far happier this way. However, when "Duke" falls into the water trying to rescue Webby and Louie from a storm, his memories return, and returns to reclaim his company.
    • To get under Scrooge's skin and bait him, Glomgold reveals the clip he stole from Scrooge as a young bird, and from this insult, Scrooge agrees to a gentleman's wager: whoever is the richest at the end of the fiscal year gets the loser's company to become the permanent richest duck in the world.
  • Glomgold steals a time-freezing device from Scrooge which he dubs a "time teaser", and with this in hand, hatches a scheme to make Scrooge look crazy. Step one: steal 87 cents from the bin.
    • Then, he creates a disease called Gold Fever and gives it to Huey in his JWG, and proceeds to taunt Scrooge by tickling him with a feather, causing a malfunction in Gizmoduck, licking his office and stretching his clothes, thus making Scrooge look erratic, and driving investors over to him.
      • In the process of this downward spiral, the family insists that Scrooge slow down and take a break or lose his life in the process. Though highly resistant for a while, eventually Scrooge's own real illness catches up to him, forcing him to rest, and then consult with the family about these unusual goings on.
      • Eventually realizing that Glomgold was probably behind these strange occurrences, they fake Scrooge's death to then goad Glomgold to admit culpability, and thus restore Scrooge's status as richest in the world again.
  • Entering a bidding war for the doomsday vault, Scrooge easily wins over due to Glomgold's transparent attempts at stealing the money tree.
    • Owlson essentially disowns Glomgold's actions, and during his ensuing attempt to get the money tree profits, he ends up with nothing.

Other hijinks

  • Huey and Dewey visit their uncle Fethry at the deep sea lab he was watching. While the lab collapses while there, Fethry realizes the culprit is a mutated version of one of his krill. Connecting with Mitzy properly, Fethry resolves to become a true scientist and set off with Mitzy for new adventures.
  • Visiting Panchito and Jose at "the feast of the flower", misadventures with reputation and a carnivorous plant cause little change, but allows Donald to finally be truthful and reconnect with his friends.
  • At Christmas, Scrooge and Dewey go on a time-traveling expedition to the pasts of McDuck Manor, and eventually return with a new appreciation for spending Christmas with their family. They celebrate with the ghosts of Christmas.
    • Meanwhile, on the moon, Della swears to make this their last Christmas apart.
  • D'jinn comes to Scrooge, looking for his family lamp. Since Louie sold it off using Duckworth, Webby and Scrooge distract D'jinn with a trip to Ithaquack, while the boys follow a trail of people from Duckworth to Gladstone to Doofus to eventually rejoin the others at the Beagles's junkyard.
    • Fighting over the lamp, D'jinn reveals that it's not a magic lamp, but a family heirloom he wanted for his birthday. Finally retrieving it afterwards, this story inspires Scrooge to clean out his storage by donating his treasures to the Duckburg museum so the stories can live on.
  • Tired of Gizmoduck defining his life, Fenton takes a break on a date with one Gandra Dee. Unfortunately, she was a spy for Mark Beaks trying to fuse her nanite serum with Gizmotech. Though he succeeds in buffing up his body into "Mega Beaks", Gandra eventually has a change of heart and helps Fenton protect Huey and Webby by destroying the Gizmotech from the inside with Fenton's special element Fentonium.
    • While Gandra flees afterwards, she helped Fenton with perfecting Fentonium, and so Fenton decides to keep a memory of their date for a day when Gandra doesn't act like a crook.
  • A Darkwing Duck reboot movie, created by the British film director Alistair Boorswan, is being produced in McDuck Studios. However, a series of misfortunes, particularly former Darkwing Duck actor Jim Starling going insane in an attempt to regain his iconic role and seemingly dying in an explosion after a brawl with his replacement Drake Mallard, leads to Scrooge shutting down the film's production.
    • Drake loses his big break as an actor, but by Launchpad's suggestion, he finds new purpose by becoming a real-life Darkwing Duck and fighting crime.
    • Unbeknownst to everyone, Jim has survived the explosion, but has completely lost his mind as he vows to become "grim and gritty" for the audience, gaining a new alias that would become known as Negaduck.

Moon problems

  • With Della now moving in with the moon people, she begins using their plentiful gold to repair the spear.
  • Della moves in with Penumbra to be closer to her work. Della considers this fun times, while "Penny" feels disdain and anger being so close to "the enemy."
    • As she works on the ship, she tells story to the people, fascinating them enough to be interested in visiting Earth for the first time.
  • Right as she finishes the rocket, Della fixes Penny's spear, wanting to show how much she respected her before leaving.
    • Though placated, Penny comes up with an idea to initiate an emergency launch and force Della to leave early. Still wanting to live up to her promise to take the people of the moon over, Della leaves her JWG with Lunaris with plans to follow later, gives Penny a final hug, and blasts off back to Earth. Crying, but happy to finally go home.
      • However, following this launch, Lunaris creates a lie that Della attacked him and fled, giving his people incentive to follow a new plan to INVADE Earth.
  • Donald has a stressful few days due to his family's supernatural hijinks. As a way to pay him back for all his help in protecting them, the family buys him a month long relaxing cruise.
    • However, just as he's about to board a bus to the marina, Donald sees the Spear of Selene crash nearby. Running over, he just misses her leaving, and accidentally launches the Spear again right back to the moon.
  • Captured by the moon people, Donald is made a prisoner by Lunaris. However, Pennumbra refuses to put her people in danger over a lie, and helps Donald escape.
    • In the process, they discover this invasion was a long term plan for Lunaris, and when he tries to stop them, Donald gets in one of his prototype rockets, and launches back to Earth after sending out a warning message.
      • Sadly, as Scrooge is picking up Webby and Dewey from investigating Jones as a "mystery" for their family, the signal from Donald is scrambled, and he doesn't get it properly.
      • Donald meanwhile barely survives the flight, but crashes on an island in the middle of the ocean, unable to contact anyone. He will survive on seawater and sand, and create a persona on a melon that looks suspiciously like a mouse in order to not give up before seeing his family again.

Della's Return

  • Della finally reunites with her family. An emotional return, her attempts at motherhood prove problematic at first due to her inexperience, with decadent desserts, stories a bit too scary at night, and unsafe bonding activities. Then she accidentally wakes up the Golden Man.
    • Fortunately, her sons take quick action with mini sirens to destroy the statue, and her quick thinking helps her save Louie and get closer to them all.
  • Visiting the Doomsday Vault, Della and Dewey sneak in to see the money tree, but accidentally cause a new one to grow out. Thankfully, with Della's new experience with welding Gold, they turn this mistake into a better investment for Scrooge to do cheaply and efficiently.
  • Playing video games with Huey, Della pushes him to go farther out his comfort zone, though eventually has to pull him back in when he gets too passionate about fighting.
  • After looking over Della's Journal, Webby becomes concerned that she's not living up to her potential, and decides to take the boys with her to find the "Golden Armory" of Cornelius Coot. While not a dangerous journey, it does end up disappointing when they find nothing but a corn silo at the end.
    • Unfortunately, they're then caught by the Beagles who were also looking for the armory to avenge the Beagles's defeat back then.
    • Meanwhile, talking with Launchpad, Della is distraught that "her" plane is being put together and used unconventionally. While flying in celebration of Cornelius Coot, she starts teaching Launchpad some more proper piloting skills, but with the plane needing the unconventionality, it stalls, and Launchpad is forced to crash it, angering, but also shocking Della that they survived so easily.
      • Landing near the kids, Della easily defeats the Beagles, then has a heart-to-heart with Webby, after which she realizes she had been too hard on Launchpad. They accidentally turn the silo into a popcorn deluge, allowing them to truly understand how Coot scared off the Beagles.
      • With this better understanding, they escape, and reinvigorate Coot's legacy with information about the past, the location, and souvenir popcorn from down below.

Lena's return

  • Webby, having tried various methods to dredge Lena back from the Shadow Realm after figuring she wasn't fully gone, runs into a young hummingbird named Violet Saberwing. Intrigued by each other's knowledge of the past, they make friends, and eventually use friendship and magic to pull Lena out of the Shadow Realm with Lena's amulet now fused with her body.
    • Afterwards, Violet brings Lena back with her for observation to make certain she's stable. This eventually leads to Lena being adopted by the Saberwings.
  • On a sleepover anniversary of Lena first meeting Webby, their sleep eventually leads to a shared lucid dream where Magica tries attacking Lena in her sleep to get her magic back.
    • Fighting her off in their sleep and then seeing the real Magica as a disheveled hobo forced to use technology for her schemes, Lena swears her off as family, more secure in her goodness.

Louie's Triumph

  • Stealing the time tub, Louie steals lost treasures from across history to fast charge Louie Inc. Unfortunately, he doesn't understand time travel properly, and this causes a "Timephoon" that nearly unravels the space/time continuum.
    • Bubba Duck makes friends with the Duck family after being sent forward in time, confounding Huey as he's not acting like a "real" cave duck.
      • After seeing how cool Bubba is, Huey submits his observations to the Junior Woodchucks, but it's rejected as "unrealistic".
    • Along with Bubba, many subjects from throughout history ends up at the mansion by the Timephoon. Including a young Triceratops, called "Tootsie" by Huey, that goes on a rampage out of panic over being in unfamiliar surroundings.
    • When the storm gets to its worst, the ducks are scattered across time, and Louie has to finally able to send everything and everyone back. However, traumatized and angry at seeing her family almost lost, Della grounds Louie and shuts down Louie Inc. as punishment.
  • Taking a vacation at the Big Rock Candy Mountain, Scrooge relaxes with a majority of his family about to win his bet with Glomgold. Louie though is kept at the mansion due to still being grounded.
    • Little did they know that Glomgold decided on a desperate last scheme to save his company: a "family" alliance with other villains to finally beat Scrooge and get his company. So, he recruits Ma Beagle and the main 3 Beagle Boys, Mark Beaks, Don Karnage and Magica (reluctantly) to finally defeat the McDucks.
      • They first attack the manor, not knowing that Scrooge was out of town, but on doing so, Louie finds out that Glomgold plans to kill his family. Thinking quickly, he offers an alternate solution.
      • Arriving at the Money Bin for his final confrontation, Glomgold's family actually manages to corner Scrooge's, but Louie then makes his play. He allowed the villains to pool their money to win the bet, but because Glomgold didn't put his real name (Duke Baloney) on the contract, Louie uses this legal loophole to steal Glomgold Industries and McDuck Enterprises for himself. Meanwhile, the rest of the villains furiously turn on Glomgold for attempting to steal their riches.
  • Louie announces to Scrooge his intention to keep both companies as the richest duck in the world, but Scrooge laughs at him saying that he won't last long with all the hard work it would involve, and leaves him to it.
    • Louie makes some foolish business choices to reunite the Ottoman Brothers for an expensive emerald ottoman, then allows the vultures to turn off the magic for the Bombie's prison, which he promptly starts trashing to resume its hunt for the richest (and most arrogant) duck in the world.
      • Alerted by the escape, Louie is attacked by the Bombie with his "staff", and barely escapes, though loses defense satellites in the process. Still, the Bombie chases on. Infuriated by Louie's lack of smarts or humility, and having to deal with "reckless thrill-seekers" (Scrooge), "Madmen with the minds of children" (Glomgold) and actual children (Louie), Zan Owlson chews everyone out and gives her 2 week notice right there.
      • Accidentally getting thrown out of the Sunchaser with the Bombie, Louie runs into Scrooge in the streets and is finally fenced in with the Bombie. Out of options, Louie finally confesses that he shouldn't be the richest duck in the world, halting the attack, as he realizes what the secret to breaking the curse is: humility. The one thing a rich person needs to earn. So, shining the Bombie's shoes together, Louie and Scrooge break the curse together.
    • Meanwhile, Della fails to connect with Penny and realizes they might never have been friends, until she receives a transmission from Penumbra at the last minute: Lunaris is ready to move. And he's coming for the family.

The Moonvasion

  • Lunaris launches his invasion. Thanks to years of preparation and the blind loyalty of his people, he takes out 3 of Scrooge's stationary defenses, lands his ships all over the world, and locks down Duckburg, capturing numerous civilians.
    • Realizing they need help (and safety for the children), Scrooge sends Della off with the triplets and Webby to find help around the world. He meanwhile sends out a team of Lil' Bulbs to get help from any and all associates of the family.
      • Eventually he gathers Launchpad, Beakley, the Ottoman brothers, Manny, Gizmoduck, Mama Cabrera, Mrs. Quackfaster, Gyro, Duckworth, Gabby Mcstabberson, Lena, Violet, and Darkwing Duck (going into the field for the first time) at the Money Bin for planning.
      • Soon, a strategy is settled on: while the bulk of their forces hold the Moonlanders down, Scrooge will infiltrate his mansion where Lunaris seems to be residing, and take him down.
  • Playing the bagpipes, Scrooge launches his assault. Using cunning, teamwork, and force, Scrooge does indeed reach his office, but it's all for naught. Lunaris was never at the mansion. Instead, he was in his flagship, now landing on Earth, and using its immense propulsion to force Earth to orbit the moon artificially.
  • Meanwhile, the search for help doesn't bear much fruit. Egypt is under attack already, and the gods at Ithaquack are forbidden to help due to Zeus's spite. Ultimately, Louie realizes that they're not running for help: they're running away from it all. Della's shock and fear of the situation turned her to protecting them rather than helping the world. Unfortunately, they're shot down on a remote island in the middle of nowhere.
    • Only, it's also the island Donald ended up on. After a tearful reunion and finding Donald went slightly insane by talking to a melon, Della still just wants to stay on the island safe, but then has a minor psychotic break realizing they've gotten stuck in a situation just like her experiences on the moon.
      • Louie has a heart to heart with her, showing how much they take their courage and love from her, and bringing her onboard to return and fight.
      • Just at that moment, her cousins Gladstone and Fethry show up, riding on Mitzy the giant krill and eating the melon Della had kicked away. Though slightly disturbed by the eating, the 6 strandees join with the other 3, and rush back to Duckburg to help save the world.
  • Scrooge's mini army is gradually picked off one by one, leaving only him, Beakley, Launchpad and Manny in a slowly freezing Duckburg. Stymied mentally, Scrooge is mentally paralyzed without a plan until Glomgold comes in with his own silly scheme using a slingshot, sharks in parkas, and Scrooge dressing as Santa Claus.
    • Unexpectedly, this unconventional plan does make some headway, though Lunaris is personally too strong to fully overcome. Thankfully, the arrival of the cousins and kids allow for them to finally get the ship off balance and stop it pushing Earth.
      • Overcome with wrath, Lunaris then decides to just crash his ship into the Earth and destroy it. In response, Scrooge takes his immediate family in another Spear to battle.
      • Though when Lunaris traps them and it all seems hopeless, Penumbra comes in and crashes her ship into Lunaris's engines, saving the family and the Earth. Storkules and Selene then mop things up by putting Earth back into its proper orbit and locking Lunaris into orbit as a secondary moon for the Earth.
  • Gathering outside the manor, the expanded McDuck family celebrate with employees, friends and family.
    • But meanwhile, F.O.W.L decides that this latest adventure was too far, and almost losing the world is enough to begin acting against the family. And so, assembling their agents, High Command says it's time to give the McDucks their last adventure.

     Season 3

The Mysteries of Isabella Finch

  • Shortly after the Moonvasion, the Drake parents decide to enroll their children, Doofus and B.O.Y.D. as Junior Woodchucks.
  • At the Junior Woodchuck graduation ceremony, Scoutmaster Launchpad announces that both Violet and Huey have qualified to become Senior Woodchuck. But as per their sacred traditions, they must then compete with each other on an obstacle course using all their knowledge to gain that honor.
    • Running their course with an assortment of natural and supernatural obstacles, both scouts make their way forward, though Violet seems to demonstrate perhaps a greater proficiency.
      • Overcome with anxiety and frustration, Huey starts making several mistakes getting lost, forgetting tactics, willfully refusing to follow the JW code to get a personal advantage. After crossing a volcano, Violet willingly saves Huey's life when his tightrope bridge burns, and shares about her past failures to become a senior woodchuck. While offering to seek a way to make them both seniors, Huey admits that he bent and broke the rules, and needs his own failure badge instead to try again later.
      • Descending to the graduation cavern, Violet is heralded as Senior woodchuck by her adopted sister and dads with the Duck family cheering as well.
    • Meanwhile, Scrooge wants to follow the footsteps of his idol Isabella Finch by following a map her painting is hiding. Caught in a lightning rain, a brightly colored, melodious bird leads them on an alternate route, stealing the map in the process. While at first distressed, Scrooge is shown by his family that going off path is an adventure worth taking.
      • Funnily enough, their path takes them straight to the graduation chamber, where Huey identifies the bird as a Tittertwill which gives good luck and was descended from a pet of Isabella.
      • The bird then leads them straight to Isabella's secret chamber where she had her personal journal. Looking it over, the family decides that a good family activity going forward would be to solve the mysteries that Isabella never did.
      • Little did anyone know that F.O.W.L. was also spying on them for this, and decide to go after those mysteries as well.
  • Following Isabella's journal, the family finds a treasure cave of the legendary Collie Baba, containing a magical lamp. Donald makes a wish to have a normal family from the resident of the lamp, Gene the Genie. However, with a little flair, he instead makes their lives a sitcom. Despite this venir of normalcy, Huey's ordered mind refuses to accept it. After some hijinks, the family realize that something is wrong and confront Donald about it, but Donald refuses to use his second wish to undo the first until his friend, Goofy, convinces him otherwise. After escaping the cave of Collie Baba, Donald uses his third wish to get a photo of his family.
  • Next, the Duck family searches for the lost city of Mervana, where, according to Isabella's journal, the resident mermaids are in possession of a magical truth-telling harp. They find that the Mervanans have formed a hippie-like underwater society, and after finding the harp, they learn from it that the Mervanan king, Honestus, turned into a terrifying monster. The Ducks defeat Honestus and get him turned back into his humanoid form, and the Mervanans return to the land and try to rebuild their society.
  • The following Missing Mystery on the list is the Fountain of the Foreverglades, a magical fountain that grants youth. Unfortunately, two other people beside the Duck family are also after the Fountain: Goldie O'Gilt, who just wants to beat Scrooge to it, and John D. Rockerduck, who survived thanks to cryogenics and now tries to restore his youth. However, they find out that the Fountain is drained, and Ponce de Leon, who initially discovered the Fountain, is now running a hotel nearby where he uses the Fountain's powers to steal other people's youth. A fight ensues, during which Ponce de Leon gets drained of his youth and dies from rapidly aging 500 years. Rockerduck still manages to restore his youth, and runs off with his Frankenstein's Monster valet, Jeeves, whom the Fountain turned into a baby.

New romance for Donald

  • Panchito and José come to Duckburg, where they decide to re-form their band, the Three Caballeros. Unfortunately, they cannot get funding for concerts. For a share of the profits, Louie decides to get the Three Caballeros into Emma Glamour's exclusive party and make her put them on her "It List".
    • At the party, the plan runs into complications when they run into Glamour's assistant, the no-nonsense Daisy Duck. Stuck into an elevator together, Donald and Daisy get to know and become mutually attracted to each other, as Daisy, oddly, not only understands Donald's voice but finds it beautiful.
    • Unbeknowst to them, Mark Beaks hires Falcon Graves (again) to pose as a security guard at Glamour's party, who then takes everyone as a hostage, trying to steal Glamour's phone. In the ensuing fight, Donald and Daisy defeat Graves.
    • Although the Three Caballeros do not get on Glamour's "It List" due to Donald's awful singing voice, Donald and Daisy stay in touch with each other.
  • Donald invites Daisy to his houseboat for their second date. To quickly clean up, he dumps his garbage into the swimming pool. Unfortunately, this is when Selene and Storkules show up to McDuck Manor, to find a substitute for Zeus, who has been dethroned by the other Greek gods.
    • Selene wants to pick Della as the new leader of the Gods, but Della convinces her to give the kids a chance to try themselves, as they're feeling insecure about themselves after they failed to retrieve the Helmet of Henghis Khan and Scrooge tells them he's considering recruiting new people to his team. However, each of the four kids fail their trials as gods.
    • Meanwhile, Storkules keeps interfering with Donald and Daisy's date and accidentally offending Daisy. To ensure that Daisy falls in love with Donald, Storkules even kidnaps Cupid and tries to shoot Daisy with his arrows, but he ends up sinking the house boat instead. Daisy angrily runs off as Donald wallows in the pool full of garbage. Storkules, feeling that he failed his mission, runs off to the forest crying.
    • Zeus, in an attempt to prove himself worthy of being the King of Gods, convinces Storkules to summon a titan from the underworld. The rampaging titan swallows everyone in his way, until Scrooge tells the kids that he believes in them and does not want to replace them. As Daisy holds the titan at bay, the kids use their godly powers to defeat it and rescue the people it swallowed. Donald and Daisy reconcile and share their first kiss. Zeus, in a last pathetic attempt, grabs his crown and regains his godly powers, sending the titan back to the Underworld, but he trips and falls after it.

Growing up and moving on

  • BOYD begins malfunctioning due to Huey unintentionally reawakening Dr. Akita's original imperatives. Bringing BOYD to Gyro, Gyro is at first terrified, then angry, and finally offers to fly them to Tokyolk in order to repair him along with his assistants Lil' Bulb and Fenton.
    • Officer Tezuka tries to arrest Gyro on site, still bitter about the incident 20 years ago, but Lil' Bulb does some grafitti to draw her away. Arriving back at the lab, Gyro accidentally shorts out Lil' bulb on saying that a robot can't feel anything, and in the lull between, Gizmoduck works with Boyd and Huey to catch some thieves, with Fenton inspired that Boyd's combat capabilities could make him a hero like him.
    • Split up in the city, Boyd and Huey just to regular kid things experiencing the local culture, before reuniting with Tezuka, Gyro, Lil Bulb and Fenton, who all have their own suspicions of Boyd by this point.
      • However, at that moment, Akita decides to reengage with Boyd's programming, exiting his bunker, and doing a remote override to turn "2B0" back into a rampaging weapon.
    • Looking through Gyro's readout on Boyd's core programming, Huey discovers the truth behind BOYD's original rampage, causing a great battle to break out between Fenton fighting Boyd and Gyro doing a Slap Fight with his old mentor.
      • Finally overcoming Akita, Gyro manages to break through Boyd's original programming to reintegrate his new shells of knowledge, freeing him to be a "definitely real boy" again.
      • Overcome with relief in fixing My Greatest Failure, Gyro decides to give Fenton a formal promotion in his lab, and BOYD has his name formally changed to Be Only Yourself Dude!
  • Scrooge takes the kids over the rainbow to fight Jormundgr. With him getting older, and not trusting Donald and Della to work together, he wants them to be the wrestling defenders of Earth now.
    • Dewey and Webby take on the job, and though Dewey at first is too easily swayed to play to the crowd, Louie manages to help the team get their heads together, and win another round for Midgard to stave off Ragnarok.
  • The Moonlanders settle down in Duckburg and try to adjust to Earth life. One of them, Gibbous, even gets a job at Glomgold Industries. Penumbra is unhappy with this status quo and tries to rebuild her spaceship to return to the Moon, but after a day out with Webby and Dewey (where she needs to rescue the two kids from a deadly ferris wheel), she changes her mind.
  • On Halloween night, Louie leads the kids to the Hazel House supposedly full of candy taken from kids of the past. They find a vampire, witch, frankenstein and wereduck who initially think of eating them because they didn't have any candy on hand.
    • However, due to stresses put on Launchpad by Della and Scrooge, he runs to the house, causing the monsters a fright, and accidentally being given a reveal that the "curse" he feels is just regular halloween.
      • As a way to celebrate this new equilibrium for all, Scrooge sets up a payed candy "drop in" site to hand out treats at Mcduck Manor for kids and monsters alike.
  • Santa returns to the manor for the first time in years, seeking parley and assistance due to a "broken leg". Still angry at him, Scrooge only takes Webby with him, and subverts part of Santa's deliveries by finally beginning the coal delivery service he'd wanted for so long.
    • However, at the last house, Scrooge sees how much a child didn't think about practical concerns for using coal, and just wanted a toy to "warm her heart". Finally understanding St. Nick's perspective, Scrooge has his family split up on the reindeer to ensure they get the delivery together with proper presents, reconciling with Santa at last.
  • After an incident with a replicating fuzzball, Scrooge and Louie are summoned to the Karma Court, where Scrooge is accused by his three greatest local enemies (Glomgold, Ma Beagle and Magica) of mistreating them and seeking retribution with Doofus Drake prosecuting.
    • However, with humility, cunning and recognizing all their true characters, Louie and Scrooge both prove his innocence and take responsibility for their actions. Even Doofus decides to drop his vendetta towards Louie due to his apology.

A F.O.W.L Conflict

  • Brought over to Funso's by Launchpad and Dewey playing a new VR game, F.O.W.L. panics enough to send Black Heron and Steelbeak out to dumb him up and protect their secret base. However, their intelligence ray plan runs into some snags. Namely, Steelbeak ends up betraying Heron's plans to then turn the ray to make Duckburg so dumb they all die.
    • The other key thing is that Launchpad gets his intelligence boosted, and along with helping some suspiciously familiar intelligent rodents, foils Steelbeak, though at the cost of losing his newfound intelligence to protect Duckburg.
  • The Phantom Blot, now a member of F.O.W.L., constructs a magic-absorbing gauntlet with which he intends to destroy all magic. He manages to steal Gladstone Gander's good luck and seeks out Magica De Spell, but before he can absorb the magic from Magica's amulet - that would also destroy Lena -, he is defeated by Lena and her friends Webby and Violet. Unfortunately, Magica also manages to retrieve her amulet and gets her magical powers back.
  • In the St. Canard branch of McDuck Enterprises, scientists Thaddeus Waddlemeyer and Taurus Bulba work together on a device named the Ramrod, a machine that can bring and take objects and even people between alternate universes. Unfortunately, Thaddeus suspects that the Ramrod is unstable, but Bulba (who secretly works for F.O.W.L.) throws him into an alternate universe and then covers up the incident, claiming full creative ownership of the Ramrod. However, Thaddeus's granddaughter, Gosalyn, suspects that Bulba is behind her grandfather's disappearance.
    • Some time later, Scrooge and his family go to St. Canard to check out Bulba's invention. Though Scrooge and Louie are very impressed by the Ramrod, Huey suspects something fishy and wants to know more about the scientific principles behind how the Ramrod works, and asks Bulba to show him the Ramrod plans.
    • At the same time, Dewey and Launchpad visit Drake Mallard a.k.a. Darkwing Duck, who now resides in his secret superhero hideout on the Audubon Bay Bridge. They soon find out that Darkwing has no crime to fight due to Mayor Owlson clearing the city of crime. As they go on a night patrol, they spot Gosalyn trying to break in to the McDuck Enterprises laboratory and stop her from stealing the Ramrod key. For the successful action, Darkwing is awarded with St. Canard's city key, but Gosalyn breaks into Darkwing's lair and explains to him that she's trying to bring back her grandfather. Gosalyn, Darwking, Launchpad and Dewey return to Bulba's lab and successfully expose Bulba as a crook — just when Huey figures out that the Ramrod is unstable and dangerous due to using some mystical item called the solego circuit to activate the device.
    • Bulba, infuriated that his plan was foiled, imprisons Scrooge and his nephews, and uses the Ramrod to summon a quartet of supervillains, the Fearsome Four, from the Darkwing Duck TV show's reality. The four villains wreak havoc in St. Canard, and the police, along with Duckburg's resident superhero Gizmoduck, have difficulties fighting them off. Darkwing, Gosalyn and Launchpad attempt to fight the supervillains, also not to avail.
    • F.O.W.L. director Bradford Buzzard arrives to St. Canard to reprimand Bulba for making a spectacle. However, Bulba turns against Bradford and imprisons him just next to the Duck triplets. The triplets help Bradford escape, but he accidentally reveals himself as the director of F.O.W.L.
    • Gosalyn tries to use the Ramrod to bring back Professor Waddlemeyer as Darkwing and Launchpad fight off the Fearsome Four, but as the Ramrod becomes more and more unstable, she gives up and destroys the Ramrod, which sucks the supervillains back to their own reality. Drake asks Gosalyn to become his crime-fighting partner, and Launchpad joins them as their pilot and sidekick for the nights.

All Out War

  • After the incident in St. Canard, Bradford begins moving towards the endgame with F.O.W.L., stealing a mecha, and cutting ties with McDuck Enterprises. He sends his agents to steal the Fountain of Youth, the Harp of Mervana, Gene's Lamp, and the Solego Key.
  • The McDuck family heads to Istanboar to find the next Missing Mystery on Finch's list, the Split Sword of Swanstantine, before F.O.W.L. can get their hands on it. As Scrooge duels Black Heron, Dewey and Webby race Gandra Dee to get the sword handle from the top of a palace, Louie and Violet visit an underground spice bar where they participate in a contest with Rockerduck to win the crossbar, whereas Huey and Lena get in a brawl with Steelbeak to get the blade. As the Ducks have proven their inner strength, whereas the F.O.W.L. agents did not, the sword deems the former worthy and grants them its magical powers. Unfortunately, however, the agents manage to get what they were really looking for: a single feather from Webby Vanderquack to continue "Project 87".
  • The family takes a trip to Castle McDuck, which reappeared early due to the magical mists getting removed by the Phantom Blot. Huey and Louie look for the Blessed Bagpipes of Clan McDuck, another one of the Missing Mysteries, not knowing that the Phantom Blot is also after it. Meanwhile, Dewey and Webby get caught in an inter-generational conflict between Scrooge, his parents, and his sister Matilda. Even the McDuck ancestors get involved in the bickering when the Blessed Bagpipes bring their statues to life. The family manages to team up again when Webby is menaced by the Phantom Blot, saving her and retrieving the Bagpipes.
  • Fenton learns about Gandra Dee being a F.O.W.L. agent, but the two continue dating. Even though they're going through the motions of stopping each other for their respective organizations. They start working on a virtual reality space Fenton dubs "Gizmocloud". Gandra plans to quit F.O.W.L. once the Gizmocloud is fully operational as it's a safe space to simulate new inventions.
    • Huey, by accident, discovers the Gizmocloud and Fenton and Gandra's relationship, but upon learning Gandra's backstory, he agrees to keep the secret.
    • Unfortunately, Mark Beaks, whose company is tanking due to his phones catching fire, makes one last attempt to steal Gizmoduck's armor and breaks into Fenton's home. He connects to the Gizmocloud and imprisons Gandra and Fenton. Fortunately, Fenton can send a Morse code message to Huey, who asks Officer Cabrera and Gyro Gearloose for help. They rescue Fenton and Gandra, and the five of them defeat Mark Beaks.
    • Gyro fixes the glitch in the Gizmocloud (which is actually only due to Fenton minimizing the non-operational apps instead of closing them), which is now ready to be shared with the world. Gandra tells Bradford that she's leaving F.O.W.L., but he calls the Eggheads on her and orders them to take her to the Secret Library.
  • To find the last of the Missing Mysteries, the Stone of What Was, before F.O.W.L. does, Della, Huey and Dewey contact Kit Cloudkicker in Cape Suzette, who agrees to take them on the island where he lost the Stone. Around the same time, F.O.W.L. hires Don Karnage to find the Stone. After a fight with the Air Pirates, the Ducks manage to deliver the Stone back to Cape Suzette. However, Don Karnage manages to break off a piece of stone and deliver it to F.O.W.L.
    • F.O.W.L. uses the Stone's shard to create two clones of Webby they name "May" and "June". They also use the water from the Fountain of Youth to age them up into pre-teens.
  • Also, following Gandra's betrayal, Pepper and Don Karnage are promoted to the inner circle.

The Last Adventure

  • On Webby's birthday, the Duck family rents Funso's Fun Zone. They invite Fenton, Gyro, Manny, B.O.Y.D., Launchpad, Drake Mallard, Gosalyn, Lena, Violet, Daisy, Gladstone and Fethry as party guests, with José and Panchito as performers. However, the family secretly plans to raid F.O.W.L.'s secret lair under Funso's, which Huey learned about when he heard Launchpad talking in his sleep.
    • Also, right before this time, Donald makes plans with Daisy to travel the world in an extended time together with his girlfriend. But Fethry blabs about it during the party, creating a bit of friction with Della.
    • Unfortunately, gathering so many "family" members together above one of the headquarters immediately sets off FOWL's concern, and so with their own initiatives prepared, Bradford begins The Last Adventure with Heron Protocols.
    • With Gladstone, Fethry and Daisy cheering them on, The Family enters the base, and begins their raid with twin goals of defeating the organization, and freeing Gandra for Fenton's sake. Unfortunately, Bradford's instincts put them one step ahead, and they evacuate almost the entire base, leaving nothing behind but disappointment....and two moles named May and June.
  • Returning to the mansion, Donald starts packing for his trip, distressing Della due to still not feeling like she got enough time with her brother again. But after reassuring her that there will be more time again in the future, she agrees to help him pack.
  • Meanwhile, Lena and Gyro determine that May and June are in fact perfect clones of Webby. This sets off an existential crisis for Webigail, who's baffled on why anyone would want to clone her.
    • Despite some strictness from the adults, and skepticism from Lena, Webby eventually starts spending time with May and June. They begin manipulating her to get sloppy with her family to steal the 2 missing mysteries the ducks still have: The Sword of Swanstantine and the Blessed Bagpipes.
    • Not helping is that Bentina refuses to tell what she knows about Webby in the process, and her paranoia causes her to go rogue on a solo mission against FOWL.
      • Eventually, June takes the bounce juice to fight Webby when she finds out, only to instead be knocked out so Webby can take her place to learn more about who she is.
      • Huey though watches them flee, and in a brave move, leaps onto Don Karnage's ship in pursuit, leaving behind his guidebook as a warning to his family that they need help.
  • Meanwhile, across the globe, FOWL begins capturing every person connected to Scrooge. This are including but not limited to, The Greek Gods, Kit and Molly, The Rescue Rangers, Pennumbra, Santa, Goldie, The Vikings of Valhalla, Panchito and José. They are taken to FOWL's main HQ: The Library of Alexandria.
    • Also among the captured: The Duckburg trinity of villains. As Glomgold, Ma and the main 3 beagles, and Magica are captured and turned into mindless drones.
  • Realizing that 2 of the kids are in the hands of FOWL, Scrooge reforms his impromptu team of Gyro, Manny, Della, Donald, Launchpad, Fenton, Drake and Lil Bulb. But, because of all their strong ties to their friends and family, BOYD, Gosalyn, Lena, Violet, Dewey and Louie also join in as the backup team.
  • Launching their attack on the library, the group splinters as each has their own agenda. Unfortunately, this also gives space for everything to go wrong.
    • Gyro finds out about Manny's other life as an "apocalypse bringer" from The Phantom Blot and Pepper, which unfortunately gets Manny turned entirely to stone in the process, and Gyro captured.
    • Fenton, Launchpad and Drake fight with Steelbeak, but he gives himself an intelligence boost, proving more than a match for both superheroes and Launchpad.
    • Scrooge, Donald and Della beat most of the outer defense eggheads, but Rockerduck and a re-aged Jeeves prove a formidable match until Beakley immobilizes Jeeves. Unfortunately, they're all knocked out by Jeeves, May and Black Heron.
    • Huey is captured on arrival, and Bradford tries to persuade him to his side to get the last missing mystery: The Papyrus of Binding. Huey is momentarily convinced, but then runs into Ludwig and Gandra in captivity, revealing the truth about his master plan: to use a modified Solego Circuit to erase anything adventurous from existence; even people.
    • Webby meanwhile makes her way to the main computer to learn more about herself, discovering the science and magic that created May and June. Then, she finds out about "April", but gets prompted to interrogate Beakley before learning everything. Beakley then tells "June" about rescuing a baby from FOWL, and that baby...was Webby.
      • Outraged that her Granny didn't follow through on her promise not to lie, Webby reveals herself, and agrees to follow Bradford to learn what her true purpose is.
      • As the true heir to Scrooge, her presence at a central chest in the library causes the Papyrus of Binding to reappear as Scrooge had directed it, and Bradford taunts Webby that her purpose was to bring down Scrooge.
  • But not all hope is lost yet. The kids defeat Don Karnage in a dogfight by playing a game of chicken and crashing the plane safely. Although Lil Bulb and Boyd have to join into one body to ensure continued work. Once inside, they split up, with Dewey and Louie rescuing Huey from immediate danger, but they're then tied up by May and June just like when they first arrived at Mcduck Manor.
    • The others reencounter the Blot and a frozen Manny, so Lena goes into her Super Mode as a defender of magic, getting Manny to reembrace his own power despite his previous vow to be normal.
      • BOYD also repairs the gizmosuit, though the auxiliary kids are then caught like the adults, with only Launchpad fighting Steelbeak and the duckburg villains. Given an inspiring speech by Fenton and Drake on how HE was their inspiration, Launchpad dons the Gizmoduck suit temporarily, freeing the prisoners and sending Steelbeak running.
  • Meanwhile, in the main hall, Bradford reveals his own grudge against Scrooge, beginning their Final Battle with Bradford using the Sword of Swanstantine. They fight their way to the roof where the solego circuit is installed. Once there, Bradford makes his declarations of Hatred and Purpose, talking about how he prompted Della to steal the Spear of Selene, and how he plans to eliminate Chaos through erasing it from existence. To prove how serious he is, he kills his clone board members, and Black Heron.
    • This though proves to be a fatal mistake, as May and June are horrified seeing their "mom" killed like that. When Ludwig Von Drake then reveals that they're all based on Scrooge's genetics, Webby gives an impassioned plea about what Family really means, causing her "clone sisters" to understand what's at stake, and getting Ludwig, Gyro, Gandra and the Boys to get to the roof to save Scrooge, Beakley, Della and Donald.
  • Scrooge refuses to let Donald be lost when Bradford threatens his existence, so he agrees to sign the Papyrus contract, literally becoming chained and unable to make a move from then on. However, then the freed prisoners arrive to cause a distraction, and beginning a grand conflict against an increasingly Tin Tyrant looking Bradford revealing his more monstrous side. Looking over the contract, Louie doesn't see any easy out, but then they all realize the obvious: Bradford said the contract would force Scrooge to give up Adventure for his Family. But the contract is contradictory by nature then, because Family is the Greatest Adventure of All. By stating as such, and with its literal thinking, the papyrus disintegrates, voiding Scrooge's obligations.
    • Broken free from their brainwashing, the Duckburg Trinity of villains confronts Bradford in outrage for being used in such a way. And as a final punishment for his evil, Magica uses her polymorph curse to make Bradford Buzzard into a literal Vulture. The villains then leave.
  • Regathering their family, the Ducks make their way back to Duckburg.
    • Fenton and Gandra reunite and renew their relationship.
    • Darkwing is convinced Launchpad was Gizmoduck all along to Gosalyn's chagrin.
    • Lena and Violet pledge to look after May and June, while Donald considers taking the twins with him and Daisy on their trip.
    • Scrooge begins better treating Webby as his daughter, though Beakley insists he lighten up because of all she's already experienced.
    • Then Launchpad accidentally opens the cargo bay door, sending everyone flying out. Thankfully, they group up with people who can fly or glide so they all land safely. Though the main kids and Scrooge go full Skydiving together on the way down.

    The Future
  • Launchpad gets sent forward to and back from a future time, when the world was apparently ravaged by an apocalypse. He considers it neat, although he doesn't give further details.
